Itβs a Kdrama, if the ML picks the rich girl you wouldnβt want to watch the series hehehehe I much rather…
Of course, but I'm giving the younglings real life considerations. You know, the young generation today sees everything as simply fiction. Gone are the days when people try to relate, consider, or find lessons. It's pure entertainment now even though the writers want to convey something.
As the show depicted, the ML made wrong decisions. He was so bothered by being an opportunist & his revenge; and now it snowballed. But many will miss that "message" (if you will) because the focus is on the romance between them of the commander.
I mean, there's depth to the show but many only sees the surface. The 2FL loves him so much, but he chose to listen to his heart. In fiction, that works 99% of the time, but in real life, choosing the heart often leads to headaches and regrets. π
Butterfly in the stomachs and that good feeling, only lasts for a while. The rest? It's survival. Which I hope the younglings will realise sooner rather than later.
Lee Eun / Lee Eun Ho be the king means no end up with Hong Deok Su beacuse different status. maybe end up with…
It's late Joseun period, they're no longer strict with social class. It's probably two to three kings away before it switched to being the Korean Empire. It's why they're more open to foreigners, and as far as the alternate history goes, even have a "hotel" and hotelier training. They already had a lot of cultural exchanges around the time of late Joseon. It was the height of the colonial period in the rest of the world.
Trust me, pick the girl who's rich & wealthy that's in love with you. Not because you're a gold digger but because life is short and very hard.
I've reached the age where I'm wishing I just chose the daughter of a conglomerate. You can learn to love the person, it's just you refusing because you can't let go of your emotions and childish ideals about "love".
Love is 80% brain / logic and 20% heart / emotions. There's no escaping that truth. Because I got it in reverse, I made wrong decisions in life and now I'm paying for it.
And so what if people calls you a "gold digger"? They just hate the fact that you got a better life and you're enjoying it.
You may see it as "grabbing an opportunity" at first because you're still young. But trust me, you'll see differently once you've experienced how harsh life really is. And once you reach a certain age in your life, your world will turn upside-down; your priorities will change; your perspective will be totally different.
Take it from someone who's #Forever28 and made wrong life and romantic decisions. I'm sharing it so you younglings won't make the same mistakes. If someone rich & wealthy loves you, and they're decent and genuine, choose them. Opportunistic as the ML said? Pfft. Only inexperienced people will say that. Been there. I thought the same way that's why I didn't choose the daughter of a conglomerate.
The first two episodes were just below average in terms of material featuring lame comedy, cheap production and…
Just ignore them.
You wrote an objective review and that's perfectly fine in my book. The problem is some people are being critic from a non-objective viewpoint (a.k.a. emotionally charged) which in turn get reactions from emotionally charged obsessive fans. Yours was very objective and that's perfect.
I love shows like this. Tackles real life issues that people don't want to talk about. They are not afraid if they get low ratings because of it. Keep it up! Excellent E08!
More likely exaggerated but it doesn't mean this level of school violence isn't happening. Remember, fiction writers…
For example, here in the Philippines, a video leaked from a prestigious school of a Taekwondo student bullying his classmates for years. No one talked about it, they were all afraid and/or silenced. But one day, a video was leaked and it became their downfall. The kid was suspended and permanently banned from Taekwondo and any othe martial arts and sports.
You'll think the kid was copying K-drama. But it was just him being a bully and brought up with a golden spoon and protection from his clan who's well connected, wealthy, and influential. π€·π½ They probably fled to the USA after all the cases against their kid were settled. And just like that, they disappeared from media and social media afterwards.
All the videos which were eventually brought to light were so damning.
Which makes you wonder, how many more bullying cases are there that no one has heard about? And this is just the Philippines, recently, bullies here are experts in keeping cases quiet, so it's rare that we hear anything about it. In Korea, it's more rampant, even GenXennial celebrities talk about it. But recent changes in their laws are teaching bullies how to keep it quiet, so now if you hear something you'll think it's made up.
Korean dramas with school bullying are so terrifying and can't even imagine how a student can study in that environment…
More likely exaggerated but it doesn't mean this level of school violence isn't happening. Remember, fiction writers are inspired by their experiences and things they've witnessed far more often than they want to admit publicly. Not to mention, current social issues that are being buried by those in power or with the money. And well, it is happening in other countries too.
Even a non-spoiler is a spoiler and it'll turn into war too. π
