I've also commented on the title previously. The title Delivery man doesn't really make sense as he doesn't delivery…
Yeah. I'm thinking it makes more sense in Korean, some cultural context that doesn't translate into English.
Although the idea is there, "delivery man of last wishes and happiness", it's just, I don't know, too weak. It is like stretching it to get to that description.
I am one of those pitiful viewers that cannot handle violence - especially vicious violence. I find Pandora to…
Looks that way. There was no exact confirmation, after the scene Hae Soo screamed, that was the last her partner was ever seen or mentioned (unless I missed it).
I am one of those pitiful viewers that cannot handle violence - especially vicious violence. I find Pandora to…
Thank you, I'm deeply humbled that there are people reading.
I'll see what I can do.
Hae Soo is always putting me off. Hahahah. Maybe now that she knows the truth, she'll have a change of heart and start working with Tae Ra. Though, I doubt that, Hae Soo is talented in connecting things that are not connected, and give it a different conclusion. LOL.
It's rare that I react badly on characters, after all, for a story to move, we need different characters. But Hae Soo… totally different level. The writer sure knows how to make their audience get absorbed in it.
If Hae Soo was not a reporter, her single focus on revenge against the wrong person would be fine. But because she is a reporter, and reporters are supposed to be “objectivity first before feelings”, it added that dynamic to the character. A contradiction of her expertise.
Which is actually interestsing.
What's happening ith Hae Soo is that, she using her objectivity as a reporter, but it's her downfall because someone knows how to manipulate her objectivity. Nudge her a little bit this way, and touch on her revenge and hatred, she starts to interpret things differently. It's still objectivity and logic, but because someone's manipulating her, she's always arriving at the wrong conclusion.
Pyo is a master manipulator. He knws how to manipulate a reporter and use their objectivity and talent in invesstigation and logic, for his own benefit.
If Pyo is a real person, he would be working at the very top, probably in secret, of anti-intelligence agencies. ^_^;;
Tae Ra finally made her move. I've been waiting which will trigger her… her child, Hae Soo, or her brother. But,…
Ahh, good point! The one-eye guy is suspect, too. Probably ordered by Pyo to clean up the mess?
Then again, probably has nothing to do with the mess. Based on what we know so far, Pyo have been orchestrating everything from the beginning. He's the one leaking information, so maybe, it was all part of his plan to get rid of her in that event.
If so, Pyo sure knows how to play chess. Not only that, he lives by “keep your friends close, but your enemies closer”. He's keeping all his enemies and potential enemies, close to him, like No.50. He knew she will eventually remember… and was he not the one who made her remember (or was it Kumjo grandpa?)
He's playing chess against himself, in the end, if all goes well, he benefits regardless who wins.
Tae Ra finally made her move. I've been waiting which will trigger her… her child, Hae Soo, or her brother. But,…
Yep. There's more room for that character in the plot, at least based on what we know so far. Most especially, what drove her to create an assassin network?
The way she acted, she is principled (though questionable), and money is not an issue either. It doesn't appear they accept any job order, and if they do, they remain on the top.
But, here comes Pyo, she's suddenly an underling, and simply a chess piece. She was planning something against Pyo, and then she just died like that.
Jang Hee Jin (장희진), the actress for the character “Ko Hae Soo” (고해수) was also in “Flower of Evil” and her character was named “Do Hae Soo” (도해수).
Without knowing the Hanja equivalent of the name, 해수 can mean: (1) salt/sea water; (2) sea animal.
One possible Hanja form of the name is 咳嗽 which can mean: (1) cough; (2) medicine to coughing in both Japanese and Chinese. It can also mean, figuratively in classical Chinese, as (1) a sound; or (2) to speak.
Although, for her character in Pandora, it could be: 解搜, to divide and to search.
Tae Ra finally made her move. I've been waiting which will trigger her… her child, Hae Soo, or her brother.
But, it was a risky move. The assassin organisation is like a dragon with multiple heads. Cut one, and two more will grow, more vicious than the previous head. And we already know who will be the potential new head, or heads. Mr, One-Eyed Man, and Pyo himself.
In the end, Tae Ra only made things very dangerous for everyone. “Mother” was, for all her faults, was keeping things at bay and acting as a buffer for Tae Ra.
Her main objective was still to bring down Pyo, for various reasons: 1. Pyo played her 2. Pyo hid No.50 from her 3. She doesn't like someone above her 4. Pride. There should be no one untouchable for her and her assassins.
“Mother” was playing a dangerous game of chess. She is no one's ally, and taking back No.50 is far more important for her. I suspect that Tae Ra misunderstood what “Mother” intends to do with her brother.
Which caused “Mother”'s life, because Tae Ra's brother became her trigger. It pushed her to cut off the head.
And now, two new heads, more vicious than “Mother” are going to take control of the assassin network.
Even if it was about her father's assassination, as a reporter, she should have known full well to stay objective as much as possible.
But nope, she gave up everything about being objective, thus, she is failing to see that she got an incomplete, and largely false, conclusion. She's acting like a cornered rat when no one's cornered her.
She's practically just a pawn in chess that should have been eliminated right from the beginning. You know, the sacrificial pawn. And the only person protecting her is the very person she is doing her best to bring down with her false accusations.
Though, she doesn't have to worry, because the only person protecting her will take the blame to protect her long lost brother. In the end, Hae Soo's false accusations will become real.
Once Tae Ra's dead and branded as the assassin of the former President, I wonder how Hae Soo will further destroy her life, and everyone around her, when she finds out the entire truth. I can't wait to see that, it would be the best ending. Bittersweet.
Guys! The show has been invited to The Cannes International festival!! This is a milestone for all involved and…
Hmm… actually, the “Cannes International Festival”, or more correctly known as the “Cannes Film Festival” or formerly as “International Film Festival”, is different from “Canneseries” or the “Cannes International Series Festival”. ;) (see: https://canneseries.com)
Then there is also the “International Games Festival” and “Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity”, both of which also use the label “Cannes International Festival”. Thus, you have to be specific which “Cannes International Festival” it is. Heheheh.
Anyway… if the English speakers here in MyDramaList is any indication, we can only hope it will receive a good feedback in the Canneseries. Here in the Philippines, it did receive good feedback than compared to the comments here. ;) I guess there is hope.
Season 1 has 12 episodes total, divided into Part 1 and Part 2. You can tell it is because [1] they never announced it as Season 2; and [2] it's the same story arc.
A Season 2 has to be officially declared; and a new Season always have a different story arc. ;)
That said… maybe there will be a Season 2 if the reaction in the international scene is very positive, like the Cannes International Series Festival (a.k.a. Canneseries).
Although the idea is there, "delivery man of last wishes and happiness", it's just, I don't know, too weak. It is like stretching it to get to that description.
Either way, to summarise the 12-episode series: he is no longer a virgin.
Hahahahahaha. No, seriously, that's the comedy part. Mind you, it's understandable why… but still it is funny in this context.
Great watch!
I'll see what I can do.

Sscary!!

Maybe Hae Soo's character is a representation of those real life reporters. ROFL.

Though, I like how they tied the two shows together as existing in the same universe. I like those kind of stories.
