WHAT IFNote: read this after watching Episode 04.Also posted in the forums: https://mydramalist.com/discussions/golden-spoon/81865-theory-1-seung-cheon-and-tae-yeong-actually-returned-to-their-original-families
Seung Cheon (Original) and Tae Yeong (Original) already switched before? 1. The babies were switched at the hospital; or 2. Somehow Seung Cheon (Original) or Tae Yeong (Original) acquired someone else's golden spoon and used it without knowing what it does?
Ten or so years later … - Seung Cheon (2.0) bought a golden spoon and switched with Tae Yeong (2.0) - So now they are back to their original families.
Consider the following: A. Seung Cheon (2.0) - Intelligent when it comes to money, stocks, and running a business. - Calculating - Greedy - Healthy - Ready to sacrifice his parents for money -- Like father, like son. Mr. Hwang would sacrifice his son to protect the money he's earned. - It's all about the money
B. Tae Yeong (2.0) - have a panic disorder (it can be genetically acquired as per studies); Mr. Lee also experienced a panic attack before as per Episode 04. -- Sure, his panic disorder may have been caused by the shooting incident in the US. But what if it was only a trigger? -- Not to mention, Mr. Hwang is so strict too, but what if it was also only a trigger to his genetically acquired panic disorder? - talented in drawing - love comics/webtoons - bad in stocks, business, and money - as per Ep.04, he will never sacrifice his parents for money - he hates Mr. Hwang and his wife
Could it be that Seung Cheon and Tae Yeong actually returned to their original families?
Someone please remind me, what year is the story set? Why are they using Android 3 / Android 4 / Android 5 phones? What happened to the Samsung flip phones? =))
I love how they exposed the biases of the lawyer/prosecution "industry" in episode 4. It happens in real life and in many countries, if your case is despicable, even demonic -- for example children killing their parents; or an adult raping/killing a kid or a baby -- every one will judge you as guilty, no one will bother trying to find the truth even if the is lack of evidence.
Your Human Right as "innocent until proven guilty" is thrown out the window. The media, and the people posting in SNS, already have a guilty verdict against you. Which indirectly affects the case whether we like it or not.
It's really sad that this thing is still happening and it is very scary to be placed in this situation. If you don't have the means to hire the best of the best of the best attorney, you might as well lie and admit you did it and hope for a lowered sentence.
Years later, even if the real suspect is caught, not one person, not the faulty system, no media, no keyboard warrior, will apologize to you. They won't even bother in helping you get back on your feet. The least they could do is to make a public apology but no, no one will do that. And the system, like the police and the prosecution, will only do a lip service to save face.
So 10/10 for this episode for exposing how bad our society has become.
But how come they work in USA for 3 years and still can’t afford a good car or a house?
1.Exchange rate and cost of living.
2. Local pricing and maybe "mindset"? -- I've seen Singaporeans posting how Filipinos are actually rich because there are so many SUVs in the Philippines, but in Singapore, managers can barely afford to buy a single SUV. But if you are in the Philippines, SUVs are actually expensive and pay rate is very low, hence, Filipinos are working in Singapore because the pay rate there is way better.
I wouldn't be surprised if it is something similar.
1 week (5 episodes) is more or less 1 episode in the original series.
Running time per episode is around 30 minutes without TVC, with TVC it's betweer 40 to 50 minutes. While the running time of the original series is 85 minutes (1 hour and 25 minutes) per episode without TVC.
That said, the premiere week episodes ended a bit after the episode 1 of the original series (if I remember correctly -- too lazy to check right now).
What if Sung Joon is remembering things incorrectly? He is remembering his real name wrong as well as his number? And the mysterious suspect is the one who owns that name as well as the number?
And then in the preview for episode 11 …
