Is there a possibility if Byeori is Sae Ha's daughter? what is the meaning of the last scene when Sae Ha meets…
Re: "looks like they are hugging"
- They were stopping Sae Byeok from getting inside the storehouse.
Unfortunately, it was too quick. I would even say that part was a bad edit or the scene should not have been included … because the next scene was they were all inside the storehouse anyway (so what's the point of stopping her).
I think, since those scenes were included, so that meant it is canon, Sae Byeok was getting emotional. Knowing her, once she sets something on her mind, she'll do it. So they stopped her to get her to calm down. They probably explained to her something, then she understood. That was when they all entered the storehouse.
Q: Is there a possibility if Byeori is Sae Ha's daughter? A: That possibility is very slim.
There are no scenes which supports that Sae Ha and Sae Byeok became romantic, not in the original 2021 (his mother is sick) and not in the new 2021 (his mother is healthy).
But compare that to Eo Jin and Sae Byeok in episode 10. Even though they're divorced and does not want to have anything to do with each other, there was no doubt they comforted each other and slept together. (It usually happens, especially between ex'es who became friends.)
Also, Sae Ha appeared to have no time for romantic relationships. He does not like the idea that his father's death, the janitor's, and his, are fixed points in time. That's like saying, you don't have free will. And since at this point, they still had no idea they can trick time, Sae Ha's mind is more likely focused on finding a way and how to say goodbye with everyone.
Third, Sae Byeok not telling Eo Jin her daughter's name means she is his as well. It also happens in real-life. When a mother gives birth and they don't want to have anything to do with their ex (who is the father), they don't tell the father they gave birth, and if they found out, they don't give the child's name.
The idea there is because once the father knows the name, the child will no longer become a stranger for him. Since the father is suspecting the child is also his, once he learns the child's name, he will definitely feel responsible and will start sending support, protection, and everything else, even if the mother doesn't want it. At least for fathers who are not a j*rk.
This is especially true for Eo Jin. Eo Jin's name means "kind". And his character actually showed that despite him trying to hold back showing his kindness. If he learns his daughter's name, he will definitely start giving support and probably try to convince Sae Byeok that they get back together.
Which is what happened.
That was the meaning behind "You told me" when she asked him who told him Byeori's name.
A future Sae Byeok no doubt told him that her daughter is his (which he probably already suspecting) and her name is Byeori. Because of this … he felt responsible. The child is no longer a stranger. He felt close. He is a father. So he went to fetch the 2022 Sae Byeok.

High quality article, I salute your dedication. Half of it was useless to write, if the screenwriter had done…
Yeah, I think they assumed most would grasp it.
To add two more reasons: 1. Having limited it to 10 episodes only restricted them. Maybe they originally planned 16 episodes then they had to compressed it to 10? For a complex plot, definitely going to be hit and miss. Unfortunately, more on that latter.
2. They way it was setup was for a novel series, usually a trilogy. The first book mainly on character development, less on the hard sciences, which is then followed up by the book 2 where the author takes the audience deeper into the world and the plot. Then finally the last book where the bigger plot finally takes place and everything is put together.
re: brain ache … for sure … especially the theories they chose to turn into fiction. In other time travel stories, when there's continuity error, it was obvious they lost track of their jumping around time … they probably gave up. But in Grid … looks like they closely tracked everything and then was not able to perfectly translate it into a live-action show. It was good in paper but once its on the screen it's broken.
Here's what I am thinking: So we are observing a single timeline but with different 'layers'. I am using the term…
WOW!
Yeah, that makes a lot sense now. You're way better in articulating your ideas than I do.
Yes, exactly like that when the Growing Block Universe and Relative Time are combined. There is the "relative origin time" and "relative personal time". Indeed, each is a block, what is "past" to a traveler is also their present which is also affecting other blocks.
I love how you fit in the "layers" in there. Perfect fit!
You should create a blog. ^_^ Your explanation should live and be part of history.

"'Healing' temporal field"? The one wherein the blood reversed time? Or another one? What scene was it?
The 'looking at his device', I only noticed it after I re-watched the series. Since I already have questions I'm searching, I focused more on finding answers than the entertainment value--and also I took down notes of the interesting parts so I don't have to return again. I've always wondered what he was referring to and … lols, eureka moment when I noticed him looking down at his device.
Still I mistook it to mean there was something in the light. I eventually took screengrabs of the two devices but can not find anything. I was about to give up when it hit me, the devices are not the same. LOLs.
I went back and forth, looked at it side-by-side, yeah, definitely not the same!
I agree, the clues are deeply hidden and too fast for anyone to notice. They got carried away with hiding stuff. I think I wasted 40 minutes just for that device analysis, and what he meant by "it's not me, can't you see".
They did focus on the devices but who would've thought to pay attention to it. LOLs.
Still, I don't get why Sae Ha said "blue light" in that 9-year old Sae Ha scene. If everything they included in the show is a clue for something, that one is very elusive.
But yeah, "bad 'show don't tell'" in a lot of areas. I just dedicated time to find the answers because they used theories rarely used in fiction, and I want to find answers too. If it was a time travel story based on the usual theories, I won't even re-watch it and be content with what we have already.
Here's what I am thinking: So we are observing a single timeline but with different 'layers'. I am using the term…
I actually like this part: "The Ghosts DNA is corrupted in the first layer because in that layer her future is not yet confirmed. We are observing what we perceive as the 'present' and the future is unknown. By the time we reach the final layer in the last few episodes, the Ghosts existence is solidified. She will be birthed in the 'future. However, this is because at this point we are actually observing what we know to be the 'past' where the 'present' is actually the time the ghost comes from. She is able to change events throughout time because 'time does not flow'. The 'past' is her 'future'. "
As for the "layers" … it sounds like timelines but not. I can't put it into words but you are getting somewhere. Thank you for sharing.
I'll try to think it over and see if I can understand it more. ^_^
Did Disney+ doing good in S,Korea after launch? As someone who only like to watch the series after it complete,…
Their first was Snowdrop and it was filled with controversies. The company behind Snowdrop is currently suing everyone who spread lies about the show (probably backed by Disney too … you simply don't mess with Disney, they have money to waste going after anyone).
Fair warning: this is very long. I compiled the Q&A in the previous thread, updated what needs updating, I re-watched all 10 episodes and jotted down notes (and dialogues), and kept on re-analysing the whole series.
I had to rewrite the entire article 4 times because just when I was ready to publish it, EUREKA! There is a better explanation.
Things that changed since my last reply in the comments below: 1. Sae Ha survived. This is 100% solid!
2. Corrected the birth date of the Ghost. She did not come from 2091, she was born in 2091. This have important implications: (a) Byeori is more likely not her mother but her grandmother; and (b) her 13% DNA match with Ma Nok makes even more sense (backed by real science) … he is the Ghost's great grand uncle on her paternal side. Yes, you read that right.
3. There are two Blue Time Travelers (although 1 actor)
4. The question "if there is no Grid then the Founder/Ghost would not exist so there is no one to install the Grid" dilemma is also answered. There are 7 versions of May 18, 1997.
5. The Ghost did appear at the same time in 6 laboratories around the world, she visited one after another. However, it does not mean it is not possible … when she showed up in IRR (7th laboratory she visited), she overlapped her appearance in 3 other laboratories.
So … what is the science behind it? Care to explain for those of us who are not science students?
No, no. I don't mean it that way. Apologies for the confusion.
I just meant to please do share because your perspective will be different. Just pointing out that you are a science student and we're not, which means, you'll see things differently and have more knowledge, possibly read more papers, than most of us. ^_^
So … what is the science behind it? Care to explain for those of us who are not science students?
Because my explanations doesn't mean it's correct. If you have something that we the community doesn't know about, it's best to share it, especially since you are a "science student" and I am not. ^_^
But again, it's your choice. Just offering up that option.
1. I think I figured out who the Ghost's father is. - I'm 99% sure on this one.
2. I think I found out why the DNA of the Ghost was corrupted. - I'm 50-50 on this one currently.
3. I think I found the answer to the dilemma of the Grid == if the Grid doesn't exist, there is no Ghost. If there is no Ghost, there is no Grid. So how was the Grid installed?
It was not a time loop. It was not a time bubble.
There is a perfect answer. ^_^ It's somewhere in the last few episodes but can be very easily missed.
I'll have the 1st and 3rd items in my article tomorrow. The 2nd item, I hope I can include it.

I guess they made it that way because the episode is too deep. It worked.
"You are Maze Runner. I am Grid Runner". ROFLOL! Perfect!
