Yey! First 4 episodes done! Now let's begin the conflict stage. The gritty part I'm waiting for!

Why didn't they just carry the ladies on their shoulders? Did the PDs disallow that option to make it more challenging?…
Yep, I noticed that too. They were intentionally failing.

It's my initial thought as well, but I recalled they've been carrying people on their shoulders, if given a chance, in many of their previous episodes through the years.

And the men, they should be able to carry the lighter guys and ladies.

For the idols, it's fine, they probably want to play safe. Then again, there were far more dangerous stuff they played before even with guest celebs.

Just weird. Hehe.

As expected of VIVA, because they're not tied to any network, they have a wider latitude. They also know how to produce quality shows and how to nurture young talents.

LOL. Just as I thought, something is fishy with "Ci-N". He's a member of Gat! 😁 He knows how to sell his assets even with the simple character he was given.

Looks like there's a future for these youngsters.

I just watched the first 4 episodes, and I'm actually enjoying this!

And the FL, she looked familiar. Lo and behold, LITZ member, that's why!

Wattpad sure is getting the best support from their parent company, NAVER. They know who to partner with aed ensure quality production, from the script to the set. Faom casting to the director.

I mean, if you've lived in the Philippines, you know how the entertainment industry works here, it's always 50-50 success or failure. 😝 This one is on the success side. Recommendable for International audiences!

Wow. Cosmic Girls and EXO. I hope they'll do well in their acting careers and so they'll get more projects.
Anyway, so far E01 was so-so. It was like this is their first acting project. They still don't know how naturally act certain type of characters and expressions. So many were forced.

Again, hopefully it gets better. I'm interested with the story mainly. And through this project, they'll grow with their acting.

Another good show ended. It's perfect as a 12-episode TV series too, they nailed it. Good job to the entire cast and crew.

I think she didn’t luck out…. She can easily play high school student or badass villain n many other characters
Yeah, it's sad. She has the talent to take on more roles, even as a main character.

Maybe they didn't give her much screentime in this show because they knew her character might overshadow the main character. 😅

I hope she gets more projects even as a supporting character.

Im not sure you just ''take'' main role. I think its just if you don't get that lucky break you will be sort of…
True that. If you did well in such roles and became known in it, casting directors and writers will often see you in that role only even if you want more.

I guess it's an example of being too good at what you do, you end up there for the rest of your career. I mean, even in regular job roles.

*sigh* I hope she gets more screentime in the remaining episodes.

Question about E745 (2025-03-23)
Why didn't they just carry the ladies on their shoulders? Did the PDs disallow that option to make it more challenging? I didn't catch that rule, if any.

Jeong Sinhye is practically an extra. Hopefully next week she'll have more screentime.

Also, anyone know why she's only taking support and guest roles? She only had like 1 or 2 projects where she was a main character. She's good in acting. She makes good facial expressions. She also has that shape of a face that pulls you in and makes you comfortable.

Or, did she choose to be a support actress? I mean, there are celebs who do choose to remain as a support actor their entire acting career.

🤣🤣 At least that was his assumption. But the kid 1ML didn't call him "father". Qnd the 1FL's mother was…
Yep. I think it was the stepfather when he was still young, during the Martial Law period.

Hopefully, he snapped already and will stop listening to him.

4 episodes left and we’ve got nothing except the ML pulling a 180 with his personality? The last couple episodes…
Yep. It was like a few weeks passed. He's now at peace with his feelings and embracing it. Which is too fast if he's a rigid type and only a week or two passed.

I guess they want to move on fast. 😅

Netflix has the worst subtitles, they always replace honorifics with names and it definitely changes the meaning…
Yep. They're overdoing their "make the translation relevant in English". While sure, Western culture is first-name basis, but they don't have to apply it every single time, there's a lot of context in the language. They're only confusing their audience.

Good thing, at least in this episode, the characters argued about it so there was some explanation. But in other shows, there were no dialogues the audience is left wondering what the context was. 😅

E08 context, re: translationsSee my hidden reply below. Moved it there since it still is a spoiler at this point.…
If you're not familiar with the basic words in Korean, you'll miss the context in some dialogues in E08.

For example, in the scene her ex showed up, the 1ML did not call him by his name as the translation suggests, and then the FL and her family were wondering if they "knew" each other.

The more context-filled translation was "bro". The 1ML called her ex "bro", hence, she was suddenly speechless and why they're wondering if they "knew" each other. You don't just call someone higher than you in the company as "bro" here in Asia.

While using the names in translations is good, the context often is lost. I have no idea how or who started this trend in Korean translations. You don't see this in Japanese, Polish, French, translations. Even in Filipino translations, where we have similar words as in the Korean language, they translate it properly so the context isn't lost.

That's why you should learn Korean. At least finish Level 1 Korean. Go to your local "Korean Cultural Center", they offer free Korean language courses (and you'd get an official and legal certificate too if you pass).

imagine him saying " hi my long lost sis " on episode 11 🤣🤣
If that's the cliffhanger while the question remains…

The government later gives them a stern warning to clear the question. And the prod team goes into an emergency re-filming of the remaining episodes. 🤣🙃🫠😅
