Skip, I am still waiting for my fav celeb. It still doesn't take away from the charm of the story if you ask me.
It's good if you see the charm of the story, it means you're still paying attention. ๐ It's just that there those who selectively watch the specific scenes only. They fast-forward everything else.
Nothing wrong with it. However, the missed lessons are useful later in life. I'm GenXennial, and I myself am wishing we had these type of shows back in the 80s and 90s so we know how to face the world.
For example, that episode "Life goes on and on". Sure, we often heard that but it didn't made an impact. But through this series, the right episode to tell that "Life goes on and on", it was impactful. It's "damn, I wish it was explained that way to us when we were young" or "I wish I had a mentor who knows how to tell impactful stories".
Sooner or later, we'll all face some of the circumstances in this story. Even if we didn't appreciate it at first, once we're in the same or similar situation, we'll remember the stories we've read and watched. It's better than grasping to understand things, because we tend not to listen to people when we're depressed and angry; and once we're alone it's the things like books and tv/movies that we remember and "listen to" (even though that's what the people around us kept saying in the first place).
Again, nothing wrong with selecting scenes of fave celebs, but it's a wasted opportunity to pick up something. Our brain can store a lot of things, and can remember it once we need it. ๐
People simply waiting for the appearance of their fave celebs are missing the life lessons from this story. Life lessons they will one day need themselves. ๐คท๐ฝ
Having feelings only applies to death. The rest of the rules can result in minor accidents. But they retconned…
But wasn't there a guy who got into an accident just because he was in her radius? It was the guy above their room, and IIRC, he didn't even know her.
Also, I understood the food poisoning incident, not everyone in her class had a crush on her iet they still got affected but not their female classmates.
Did I misunderstand those scenes? Hmmโฆ will have to re-watch.
Having feelings only applies to death. The rest of the rules can result in minor accidents. But they retconned…
In E09 and E10, the 2ML established that one only gets into an accident if they have feelings for the cursed person. That it is a prerequisite.
However in E01 to E08, we know there were people who got into accidents simply because they were withing 10 meters with the cursed, and stayed 10 minutes within the 10 meter radius. Some even had conversations, but they don't have feelings for her.
They retconned that to explain how the 1FL can ride the metro train without anyone getting into accidents. Or, how the 2ML can stay close with women in the station.
By E09 and E10, everyone who had accidents around 1FL and 2ML who had no feelings for them, were dismissed as coincidences.
Oh thank you for the explanation ^^ Didn't have to bother looking it up.Side Note: I once asked a Korean teacher…
1. Yep! But you know, colonials. ๐ They were the only "civilized people" and everyone else are beneath them or barbarians.
2. If only, it'll be easier. But the Commission on the Filipino Language and the Department of Education are led by people with no interest in actually improving our languages.
We could've been writing "lalakie" to express the actual pronunciation clearly instead of telling everyone "lalaki" is the correct way of writing it; and the pronunciation is somewhere between "i" and "e".
They even dropped the use of diacritics around mid to late 90s. Then sometime near 2010s, they brought it back partially. ๐ They can't make up their minds. I asked my nieces about it and they told me their teacher don't even teach diacritics.
I guess that's expected because their teachers are from the generation when it was dropped, they likely don't understand it themselves. I was in Grade 8/9 when it was dropped, and I don't remember the rules myself. ๐คฃ

Yes, code-switching is naturally switching between two (or more) languages and/or dialects. While code-mixing is using the rules of one language while mixing in words from another language, making the sentence sometimes awkward to hear.
True, code-mixing is far more common in multilingual cultures. Code-switching, while also exists in other multilingual cultures, they are more able to control it than us Filipinos. ๐คฃ And in dramas and films, they rarely don't code-switch; but Philippine script writers do it a lot.
Actually, script writers can write with less code-switching and code-mixing. We had dramas and films like that.
Hmmโฆ try the movie "100 Poems for Stella" (native: 100 Tula para kay Stella" (100 is read as "isang-daang)). If I remember correctly, it's mostly Filipino. There are still a few code-mixing and code-switching but not as many compared to TV dramas.
True, it's an advantage. Many Filipinos self-learned Japanese and Korean, both written and spoken. But few are aware there are certifications so they can use it for work. ๐คฃ
My lil brother can speak Hebrew, Greek, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien, Korean, Japanese, Bahasa Malaysia.
Two of our cousins can speak Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien, Korean, Japansese. One of them can steak German. While one of them speaks various local languages and dialects too.
And that's not counting our uncles, aunts, grandparents, and 2nd degree relatives.
I don't know why but we enjoy learning other languages and cultures. My sister had a formal Korean studies after she got married. I wasn't even aware of it and I didn't think of her doing that. ๐
Yes, being multilingual is a good thing. The way our brain works is altered because we do language gymnastics daily. ๐คฃ
It also changes the way we think. There are studies about it where they found that our thought processes change depending on which language we use.
idk what made Jun no to recruit him just like that! even though he hesitated a bit after interviewing him.
Ahh! Yes! The Auditors. True, the ML here is more a human. In The Auditors, the ML there was far too strict and mean, he'll bulldoze anyone to get results. ๐
Barely knows her stalker and falls in love with him, not even liking but straight up in love with him and breaks…
She knew him since they were in school. She knew who requested the shed. She knew he kept looking at her. She knew this and that. She even recognized him immediately during the bus/bridge scene. That's how memorable he is to her.
Is the curse even broken? It just doesnโt work now because she โlovesโ him. What happens if they break up…
The curse is probably broken permanently.
However, I think the curse was simply paused. As long as they're a couple who is in love, the curse is paused. If they start to fall out of love, the curse will slowly activate. If they divorce, it will be back in full power.
The problem is loving him, she made it clear that she liked him but shouldnโt loving take more time? Getting…
Nope. Love is simply hormones, nothing else. You can love someone if you want to.
The things about love that society made us believe are simply a poetic way to elicit emotions (or more hormones). Unfortunately, it made sous believe that there is a process to it. The truth is, it all comes down to the person's decision.
This is why there are best friends of opposite genders yet they never have a single desire to be together romantically nor to sleep. Both of them simply never decided to love each other romantically. Which in turn never produces hormones related to romance.
If it's hard to grasp, think of people having ONS or are FWB. They are not in love. And FWBs also talk about rules like "never fall in love". Loving someone is a decision. Romantically loving is even more so.
That's the reality about "love" no matter what type it is.
Yes, for many it starts with attractiveness. But again, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". Meaning, the person finds beauty in someone because they decided there is beauty.
It all comes back to making a decision, always. ๐
Few questions has left unanswered unfortunately: How are they cursed and why? What happened if they donโt stay…
Since they broke the curseโฆ
Yes, we can safely assume that the accursed can now interact like everyone else.
I doubt it was broken, it's more like their love paused the curse. So, as long as they're in love and together as a couple, the curse's power have no effect on anyone.
If they divorced, or starts to fall out of love even if still married, the curse is probably going to show it's ugly head again. Not powerful, but it'll be there.
Few questions has left unanswered unfortunately: How are they cursed and why? What happened if they donโt stay…
The reason for the curse doesn't matter. In creative writing, it is called "literary device".
In a timetravel story, do you ask how they created the device that made them travel through time? In anyme isekai (parallel world), do you ask how the character got transported into another world? We don't, correct? Because we know it was only a "literary device".
The curse is no different, it was only a literary device, nothing more. It was meant to set up the story. How it started doesn't matter, it just is. And there are many people who have that curse.

What happens if they don't stay by their side?
That was answered since E01. ๐
They die if they confessed; they get into accidents but survive if they have feelings but didn't confess; or into minor accidents even if they have no feelings but violated one or more of "10 meters", "10 sentences", "10 minutes", rules.
My question is when did the second couple start having feelings for each other? They only started talking in episode…
They first met and talked when 1ML was in the hospital (it was E07 I think). Either the 1ML saw something with them, or 1ML noticed how the 2ML changed after meeting her. Hence the 1ML knew they'll eventually find each other again.
However, he needs to accelerate their fate and make 2ML understand the rules, otherwise, the 2FL will die.
