Great show like old dramas

I watched this with my niece, and we both enjoyed it very much, she likes it a little more than I, but we both had fun.

Story is great and enjoyable, cast was spectacular, all characters were great even evil ones, the two leads and Bong su are the best of the best, the 3 characters were amazing and tbh all the class characters were so much fun.

It's humorous, fun and great with a touch of fantasy.

Then why am I only giving this 6.5??
Because it also lacking big deal, the show starts off nice and fun, got boring just after 3 episodes only to pick up the pace for a couple of episodes from mid ep7 to 9... The story has too many plotholes, unnecessarily.
Everything can be solved with a talisman... Bad ghost? Talisman... Evil spirit? Talisman.. Switching fates? Talisman... Hair fall?? Also talisman ... Even at the very last end ... Everything got solved like that *snaps fingers* as if there is no whole 12 episodes of struggles.

So after finishing it and looking back you'd feel like, nah that was too easy I wonder what's all the fuss was about... Also the evil shaman role is kinda stupid, I mean I loved the character and hats off to the actress, but seriously, everything could have been easily solved if they just drugged her or kept her under their watch for a few days or so ~
But noo hohohoo.... They have to let her fxxk everything up then solve it later.

The evil spirit that everyone fears and was wrecking a havoc, is actually the nicest and cutest ever, I loved him even more than the ML, which is kinda stupid too, because if this is what I'm supposed to fear, then you are doing it wrong.

So this was the reason I gave it such rate, but still it was very enjoyable if you just ignore the story and enjoyed the show for the acting and fun characters~~

Good BL in a bad series

I fell asleep while watching ... Twice, mind you ... I also dozed off a few times and yawned my way through the whole thing.

That's how slow and boring this drama was.

Now I don't want to be unfair, because judging this as a BL, the love story is so good and well excuted also the chemistry was great.
Another thing that influences my judgement is I'm not a huge fan of Wuxia genre, whenever they hug and fly I roll on my couch and laugh like the joker.
I always find them very slow and full of unnecessary twists, I couldn't even finish one of the most loved Chinese bromance/censored BL ever made because of that.
So I knew I wouldn't give this a full mark, yet!! It's only 12 episodes so I was slightly optimistic, that's about the time I usually start to drop them so I thought it'll be safe, and judging by the recent Chinese BLs that are made without censorship, I was too excited ~~

Little did I know...

I won't go into the details because I don't want to get attacked by fans, but I'm giving my two cents here, the drama isn't really as great as edits made it looks, but it's a nice love story if you are a fan of Wuxia genre.

Good but the story is meh!

While I generally liked it, I can't help but fall asleep in the second half.
Technically it's not the drama's fault that the story is repeated a billion times and I chose it it to end my drama slump -it didn't work, I skimmed through it- but let's be fair, the sex scenes were good, I mean honey as a lube? Yummy 😂 and the two leads were fantastic.

Acting was perfect, I may be slightly biased because I love Boom, watching him gives me joy, nevertheless all actors did great and it's not one of those cringey, bad acted BLs that Thailand is famous for so it's very watchable and enjoyable.

The story is where I struggle, it's not the best and it's very repetitive and boring really, nothing to look forward to, but again that's my personal statement because I have a drama slump as I said and maybe maaaayyyybe if I ever rewatch it at a suitable time I may change my rating.

So, would I suggest it? Sure if you are in your Thai BL phase, that's one of the good options you have.
İs it worth the time? İf you get bored easily maybe you'll skip some parts but overall not extremely boring, you can enjoy it nonetheless ~

Giving this lower rates because as I said it didn't fit my mood ~

Lost it's charm half way through

I was so excited about this because I love the two leads specially HS, sadly it wasn't that great and struggled to not drop it.

Acting :
Ihave to be fair and say that acting-wise it was good, HS was spectacular, the only thing I couldn't stomach was the way Heyri was speaking, it's like a 3 YO child still I understand that it's the way she chose to go with the character so I didn't mind much, and while I like KH I couldn't see anything "in his eyes" the anger or calmness or whatever that he has to show was lost on me, I was only able to see one facial expression all the way, he just can't act with his eyes.
So aside from that I liked the rest of the actors even the annoying ones.

Story:
I don't know what was going on, and not that I didn't understand the story but midway it was all over the place, the way they showed she was not a serious case of DID then bam! She was cured just like that, I hardly could see her taking any meds nor was I convinced by the psychiatrist she was seeing and their conversations felt ridiculous.
Also I couldn't follow through the time, some days I'd be confused like shouldn't they be at work now or whatever? Are they allowed to take so much days off? Specially the days that HO had to stay with EH I and she sleeps for over 13 hours for like 3 days continuously.
Aside from lacking logic big deal, the story got very boring, the more you watch the more you get less excited to finish it, pity it was good at the beginning.

Overall not really bad, what I didn't like was personal preference, some can just not see the things I didn't like or can be easily ignored, yet I wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless you have patience and don't care much about logic ~

I don't really know how to rate this ...

Well, first of all, the reason I started this was Woo Bin and Eun Jin, also Steve Noh is a bonus but the story itself and Suzy as the FL made me a little reluctant to start it.

Be that as it may I decided to give it a go, the story is full of tangles and complications, there is a lot happening and too many characters, I don't know if I was bored and just want to end it or I was genuinely entertained and want to keep watching to the end, all I felt is "when will this end?" I wanted to reach the final closure so I kept watching.

The religious reference was the main thing that caused backlash, it's heavily influenced by the Islamic view of Shaitan but it's full of Christians hints too, so you don't even know which religion they wanted to reference which IMO is a really smart move, because it's a work of fiction not a religious adaptation of Satan's story so basically no offence done to neither religions, cause they didn't get the correct story from any of them.

The end of the story was too sugar coated, but it's a Fantasy drama after all, they wanted the illogic happy ending so be it ~~

Acting was fine, Woo Bin was fantastic and I was really happy to see him because i haven't seen him in a drama since forever, my beautiful Eun Jin was great, I think her role was smaller than I expected, I wanted to see more of her and I wish her role was bigger, it was a very insignificant till maybe the last few episodes only, I also wanted to see more interaction with Steve Noh, they literally had 2 scenes together and I loved them more than the leads. I wish to see them in another drama together again.
Suzy was ok-ish... She got better I can notice her improvement in acting but I couldn't help but compare her psychopathic character to Seo Yea-ji in It's ok to not be ok, I mean her acting and chemistry with Woo bin were ok, but I couldn't see her as a psychopath at all, she didn't convince me as a psycho, she doesn't have the look of crazy in her eyes, she just act tough and it doesn't suit her at all, I expected that tbh, and that's why I kept my expectations for her character very low, so I can't say I'm that disappointed.

I would not rewatch it again, not even for Woo Bin or Eun Jin, once was enough, and I won't recommend it because I understand the religious reference may be uncomfortable to some people, and you won't miss much it you skip it tbh ~~

A dive into the dark side

A very dark and slightly disturbing story of two lost souls searching for love.

The story is very heavy, it leaves a very bitter aftertaste when you finish it
While the end is very good, the drama itself is so sad.

It's not the darkest I've ever seen and considering this is a Japanese drama I'm totally unsurprised by the story and how disturbing it was in some scenes -the little child scene with the man stripping - yet I slightly regret watching this as it's totally not the type of dramas I'd generally enjoy.

Acting was ok, I loved Kaji the most, he also -surprisingly - provided some comedic relief in some scenes.
Story like I said was too dark, but not bad, you still can enjoy the rest of the day normally after finishing it, or is it just me? ... Ok.

I'd generally not watch it again, nor recommend it but for the sake of the whole experience I'd give it a 3,5 or something ~

It's a beautiful friendship story, I think the romance tag is misleading cause I couldn't see their relationship as lovers at all.

It's a simple story about dreams and working for it and for young people at their ages to work for their dreams instead of just doing what is expected from them.

It's beautiful to have a crazy dream, when you are young that's what your life is about, the two leads friendship was beautiful and how the ML tries to help the FL be the best version of herself is just so lovely.

Again this isn't a love story but a beautiful friendship between two polar opposite characters.

This tried so hard... And sadly it failed.
The story is interesting in the beginning, then somehow it gets more and more confusing and not in a Sherlock Holmes way that you have to follow the bread crumbs and arrange the puzzle to get the whole picture!
No it's in a very boring way, I almost fell asleep while watching.

The whole thing could be solved if they have shown him the video, I don't understand the need for all this encryption if they can solve all his struggles in 30 seconds.

Also you can easily watch the first episode and half of the last one and you will understand the whole story without missing a thing, which is weird considering that this should be a psychological drama with story building up and so to reach a final conclusion, but no, you can easily fill the blanks with anything after watching 1.5 episodes out of 8.

One thing I didn't understand was spoiler in the synopsis here, we all knew before starting the show that his "father" is dead which was a secret that was revealed in THE LAST EPİSODE.
Also I respect the "horror" elements they tried to include because it's a psychological drama, but they failed in this part miserably.

I mean after finishing, I don't understand the reason we have to invest all this time and emotions to follow a plot about a secret that needn't be a secret and requires only a few seconds to put this poor man out of his misery.

Good slice of life but lacks logic

I liked this drama but I hated the amount of illogical behaviour from some characters and the unnecessary obscurity of the story.

I know it's discussing a very serious issue here but the way the characters handled the abuse matter is so stupid, providing little to no solutions, none whatsoever to anyone who is involved.
What made things even worse (which is a personal matter but still) was the little kid's behaviour and his mum's lack of brains, I know he is a child and he is a wounded one but he was so spoilt like his mum which made it slightly harder for me to sympathise with them. I'm not saying I didn't wish for them to be happy, it's just that I wasn't particularly moved by their story, I had a straight face all the way.

I still loved Hiroto tho, and his selfless character, slightly annoying but I still loved him so much
The transition in the two brothers relationship at the end is the only thing that made sense to me as it's a necessity to both.

I won't say much because it's not necessary, but imho there are other dramas that handled many serious issues in a better way.

A watered down version of the manhwa

I believe we all kinda expected that, it's not as smutty nor explicit as the manhwa (for a good reason) it only focuses on the dramatic side of the story and completely ignores the other parts, specially the parts the manhwa is famous for xD

Somehow it's not worse nor better, I believe it's more adaptable like that, i don't like that they dropped big chunks of the manhwa and even changed some parts but it's a short vertical drama so that's just the way the cookie crumbles.

I think acting is ok-ish, they still relies on camera angles and lips touching - in a smutty manhwa adaptation, mind you - which got me scratching my head while watching, i know it's tuned down but at least have some decent kisses lol.

Judging as a drama only, I wouldn't really recommend it, I've seen much better vertically filmed shows and this simply doesn't have the spark! But judging as an adaptation, if you like the OG and want to see a glimpse of the story as a live action, go for it, it's more "family friendly" and less traumatizing show!!

A hilarious one man show by the adorable Liu Xi Yu

This is the second collab between Liu Xi Yu and Cao Tian Kai out of 3 total, I've seen the other two and surprisingly, this one is my favourite.

İ love the duo together, unfortunately this was mainly Liu Xi Yu with Cao Tian Kai literally appearing in no more than 30 mins of the total 2 hrs show, however, and despite lacking a big deal in terms of romance, it was so good watch, and their scenes were so funny.

The story is the weakest thing ever, it's inconsistent and doesn't make any sense, Moreover I've watched the dubbed version which is probably why I was more confused.
This is the first time I've ever watched a dubbed vertical drama, i didn't even know they dubbed them lol but it was the only available version so...

Now what i liked:
-Liu Xi Yu shines here, she is hilarious and so cute with her bunny eyes, her character too is funny and lovable
- the visual edits, oh my goodness!!! Who did that!? Who though about doing that? Give this person a freakin raise cause he upped the whole show to another level!! Specially the head filters, oh my, it must have been so much fun editing this!!

What i didn't like:
- the fact that the ML only appeared on a few scenes and this is supposed to have romance.
-the weird story, and what happened exactly to the system and did she stay in the story or go back to reality, too many loose ends also we don't know the "original story", we kinda experience that with every scene and they didn't a terrible job explaining it.

Overall a very nice and fun show, highly recommended if you didn't think much while watching, love Liu Xi Yu and just for the sake of the filters and edits they added to the show lol.

Beautiful slice of life drama

I'm not a fan of melodramas, specially the ones involve disabilities.
But I like the cast so I gave it a try and I dare say it was spectacular even if it's not my usual cup of tea.

The cast was fantastic in portraying their characters and their struggles, my favourite character is Minato, tbh I didn't care about the leads at all, nor any of the side characters, I was so in love with Minato and my only wish was that he gets his happy ending with a partner that would let him do what makes him genuinely happy.

Alas, they didn't show him as much in the second half, forcing me to just cheer up for the leads and ignore everyone else.
But I'm still not over Minato, he is the cutest and loveliest person I've ever saw in a drama.

The story is simple and we can easily predict it but it's not a crime mystery so we can just enjoy the ride.

I don't know if anyone else noticed that but there is one thing that I find odd, not something I hate per se, it's just made me feel slightly weird, which is the way different characters say the exact same thing in the following scene, like when they want to explain one of the character's behaviour or show what's on their mind, and in the next scene another character saying the same thing, and that happened quite a few times.

Overall a very nice drama, prepare some tissues if you are sensitive.

Dumb and dumber in love

The way they kept their identity secret almost all the way to the end is so stupid.
İ was facepalm-ing and rolling my eyes the whole time watching, however it was fun.

İ wanted something light with easy on the eye cast and short to waste a couple of hours and this show gave me exactly what i wanted so i got nothing to complain about.

The story has tons of flaws and some silly moments but it was nice.
Be as it may, there is nothing to write home about so if you like the leads, give it a shot ~~

İt didn't make any sense

İ came across it through recommendations, i only knew the ML (vaguely, mind you) so i just went for it.

İt's pretty short, less than 2hrs which means there is no boring and unnecessary scenes, However, i didn't understand what was going on.

Characters were very vague, and i didn't know what was the FL trying to do most of the time, i didn't get the ML character either, what is his relationship with his dad and grandparents and what is the company thing that the FL kept convincing the ML to do!!

What is going on? i was so lost, also the ML was weird, like is he a toxic CEO type of character or just a sick weirdo.

İ don't think the execution was good, i only enjoyed some scenes despite not understanding them and i couldn't see any chemistry between the leads sadly, also i don't understand if the FL actually like the ML or not.

The end was abrupt too, not sure if the version i watched was cut or if it ended like that but there is no hint whatsoever about the FL outside the novel or of she is going to stay in it or what ~

Definitely not recommended, i can't see anything that would attract anyone to watch this, there are a billion other show that are better than this ~

That was completely... Unnecessary

I don't know what to say except for ... What's the point.

Aside for the not really needed fan-service ( you know what I mean) there is nothing "special" about this.
We have half an episode the two leads talking about green toilet walls, and the second half is an interview that is very boring and add nothing to the story.

The only 2 things that made me laugh was the way they ended Ken, like really!? No police and no prison or anything, no attornment or paying for his crimes just kill him off the easy way, which was already implied in the last few mins of the last episode in the show but we like to make sure he is dead so we kill him properly this time. ~~

Also I liked that Kelvin asked Veir the question I needed an answer for which is why did he stick to Kelvin and didn't run away!? Why does he even love him after what he did and how can he still be together with him!?
Sadly the answers were very disappointing and didn't make any sense so this was one of the loose ends that they tried to tie it up and failed miserably IMO ~

Aside from that, it was completely skippable, just watch it if you want to see FortPeat in some action or just love the show so much that I want to see more of the very boring life of the characters ~~
