I love dialogue-heavy shows. Action tends to bore me if there's too many sequences of fighting, especially if…
well that's disappointing

Yeah, but it's supposed to be a "monster show", hence the name.

Once FL works on facial expressions, I think she'll be a better actress. I hope this kdrama doesn't end with them together, because it just would feel more complete. I would've preferred more serious elements as it was weird having it jump from gore and death to happy normal life.

webtoon came out in 2019 tho. Also, how is it "running out of ideas" when it's this creative? You complain about…
Yeah, people can be really overreactive.

It seems like the story will be completely different so there is nothing to ruin.
Then why take the name and concept? They could make up their own creatures and such, without relating it to the Japanese pieces, like Connect (2022) is a good example. They easily could've given it a season 2.

They had some plot holes due to adding stuff in certain episodes and not following through with it, but I guess the end just automatically seals everything.

It's not creative hence my comment, that webtoon and this kdrama is a trope that has been done before way before 2019. Literally this year, "A good day to be a dog" has a similar trope. Now a girl is turning into a chicken nugget? It's outrageous! lol

Anyways, don't take my comment so seriously, I was expressing how I felt about it.

Edit: Also, it seems a lot of kdramas are just adaptations, the lack of non webtoon adaptations is concerning.

they don't need realism. they just gotta stop being so formulaic and trope dependent in this genre. better dialogues…
I agree, but I say realism because no one wants to see ML force kiss FL, ML stalk FL, ML manipulate FL, etc. all in the name of "romance". Also, it doesn't make sense for a ML/Fl to not like someone and not get along with them the whole drama then suddenly love them by the next episode, because the writer forgot it was a romance

Why would the Koreans try to mess with this? It already has a live action, manga and anime which are all stellar. Please don't ruin it

Crash Course in Romance was entertaining, but realistically was strange. I honestly dropped a lot of kdramas this year and switched to mostly watching jdramas. Everything has become copy and paste, and I feel like kdramas need to adapt a more realistic approach to romance. Very disappointing year, hopefully 2024 is a better year.

Some of these are surprising as I didn't know it was a different person in the kdrama, however a lot of these are believable if I squint my eyes.
