"your eyes. they shine so bright. i want to save their light."

I don't know what I liked or disliked about this drama. All I know is that I cried a lot, especially in the last episodes. This drama made me question a lot of things and this drama also made me realize a lot of things.

No one wants their loved ones to die and no one is ready to see their loved ones' death. And I realized that soon after watching this drama because something similar happened to me. It made me realize that we, humans, are nothing without feelings and I am one of those of human.

Maybe, this drama is not that deep and I am being biased. But if you watch this, then I believe you will relate to a lot of these things. Honestly, that is what I like about 《The Light In Your Eyes》. It shows the most usual human emotions with a dramatic effect. At times, the dramatic effect can get a bit too much and make the drama seem rather ridiculous. But the emotions picks it up and you will be "in-touch" with the drama no matter how weirdly dramatic it seems.

The qoute I wrote as the headline is not from the drama, but I think it pretty much sums up all the female lead's feelings for her loved ones and the male lead (he is also her loved one) and most of her goals in the drama. She wants to save everyone she loves and she wants to live with them like she did before. She wishes to see the light in their eyes for a long, long time.

The female lead, in the first few episodes, might seem insecure, jealous and somewhat selfish. But as the story progresses, you will end up liking her and will find her somewhat relatable.

The male lead doesn't do much, but his presence is sad and bittersweet and his interactions with the female lead, both as young and old, are sweet, motivating and hilarious.

The romance between the female lead and the male lead is not like the other melo- romance dramas as there aren't many intimate scenes. But they became one of my favourite couple.

The family members of Hye-ja are another focus of the drama. And their interactions keeps the story going not making it boring, but rather hilarious and sad. They care for eachother, love eachother, and they gives the most comedic relief in the drama.

All the actors are known faces for me and no one disappointed me. Lee Joon-ha became my favourite Nam Joo-hyuk character and I don't think any other character can replace him. This was my second Han Ji-min drama and this made me fall in love with her acting. Her acting is so natural and she can potray any emotions just perfectly.

The music was somewhat unique because it had a classical mood in it which I don't usually see in such dramas.

I think re-watching 《The Light In Your Eyes》 would make it seem boring as the storyline would be known to you. But I feel since the drama itself mostly focuses on emotions and human growth, it will be a decent drama to re-watch.

"even if one ordinary day is followed by another ordinary day, life is still worth living. don't waste the present regretting and worrying about the future. live this day beautifully"

《The Light In Your Eyes》 wishes to follow the same goal as the quote which is from the drama. And it does a great job creating the right mood for a scene and the right emotions are provided in that scene.

"The whole world seems cursed"

I don't usually watch horror, but the story of seemed interesting and fascinating. So, I thought I should give it a try. I just finished watching it, so the emotions are still fresh and raw.

Just like as headline says, for Ga-In, her whole world seems cursed with no way to escape from the curse. The first half of the movie progresses into her realizing the curse she always bore and the last half is about her life turning into an empty pithole of what is real and what is not.

《Don't trust anyone. Your friends, your family. Not even yourself. Then, you just might live》

Those are the words that she thought to be an escape from her curse. A ray of hope to survive. But those words were what created a path that led her into destruction.

There are several jump scares and out of nowhere, dream sequences that gives it a disguise of our typical horror movie. But it really isn't. Those sudden dream sequences serves a purpose. And I believe those jump scares are way of alerting viewers of the possible danger. Then, when a seemingly normal person enters the scene, it makes viewers and Ga-in feel relieved only to be introduced with the real danger.

The acting was the main reason why I feel some of the most ridiculous scenes felt fascinating and intriguing to watch. All the actors done their part almost perfectly. But the actor who played as Ga-in did a very great job. All the emotions she potrayed and how she delivered her dialogues which weren't that imapctful left an impact and captivated me as a viewer.

The storyline was gloomy and somewhat thrilling and the actors did a great job to keep the vibe in their acting. Even a smiling face seemed sad and a sad face scary because at times, it's just Ga-in's delusion and at times, the face will soon show a new level of insanity.

I didn't notice the music much as the story was pretty fast-paced in my opinion and I didn't want to miss any important scenes.

I don't think Someone Behind You will be as much thrilling to watch the second time as the first time. But I think if you enjoy the gloominess of this movie, then you will be able to re-watch it, maybe, not with the same excitement, but at least, without getting bored since it is somewhat a fast-paced movie with talented actors and a good storyline.

this is not a psychological drama:')

the story is simple and kind of ridiculous in a sense. there is no psychological thing in this drama, even though it does talk a little bit about the characters' mental problems. however, that's it. if you are expecting something healing or psychological, then this isn't for you. there is just sex and some not-so likeable characters. i do like the female lead, but her "going-with-the-manipulation" thing is definitely not likeable at all, but just sad...i guess.

the story's premise is somewhat weird and creepy in a sense, but i don't really expect much from these kind of dramas. there are some times when the author gives me a ray of hope that the story will provide me with something. but it only gives the main leads a very unreasonable reason to have sex or to be intimate in any way. however, i think that's the author's purpose:/

The second lead's backstory made me sad, but dude, was very very toxic from the veryyy start. so, bye, Hase:')

The male lead is pretty plain, almost-expressionless and some kind of genius dumbass. honestly, i don't understand his reason for not falling in love before as much as i do Hase's. also, i felt that he says he won't do anything Terada dislikes, but he kind of emotionally manipulates her:'/ dude, i understand you don't get hard, but you should have a little bit of human decency:')

also, again, this drama isn't psychological. this is just your same story-less steamy drama with your same push-over fl who will probably apologize even when she is dying and your same ml who will only smile in front of the fl because he kil...i mean loves her:')

...
nevertheless, if you just want to watch two straight humans having sex or some intimate moments (like me), then it's a good drama to watch. but because the ml and fl's relationship never really progressed in an emotional sense, even the sex scenes kinda feels...flat. but you will enjoy:")

a ray of hope that left me feeling disappointed

《Nevertheless,》 started with a strong storyline, interesting, somewhat relatable and lovable characters and a realistic background. And it ended with never-ending misunderstandings and cliches, horrible character development and awfully unsatisfying choices.

[Spoilers]
The story is about how an insecure and anxious Na-bi gets entangled with the creepy, playboy Jae-On who doesn't want to get into a relationship and only wants to have casual sex. This dude, from the start, seemed very interesting and had a whole bunch of red flags. And Na-bi knew what kind of person he is and how much complicated her life will become if associated with this guy. But Na-bi, despite knowing all of that, agrees to have casual sex with this creepy yet fascinating dude.

At first, both of them, were happy having casual sex and being "friends with benefit" or more like, "strangers with benefit". But problem starts arising and that was the ray of hope for me to see Na-bi having some character development. Well, she pretty much did. She ended it all with our creepy dude and finds a potato guy who loves her and is definitely not a fascinating yet creepy guy. Potato guy is just a normal, passionate and sweet guy who doesn't have any red flags and walks around with heart on his sleeves.

However, all of Na-bi's decent character development ended with Jae-On's apologize and a steamy kiss. With a steamy kiss, a few weird drawing and some months'(?) leap, she decided that she loves Jae-On and will date him, even though both of them (she and him) aren't sane and are probably not in their right mind for a healthy and loving relationship.

The music in this drama is just beautiful and it introduced me with RIO. She is such an awesome singer:)

The best relationship for me was the lesbian couple. I wish they gave them a bit more screentime. They were just adorable. Even though they had a lot of fights and misunderstandings, they are definitely one of the best couples i have seen so far:")

My 2nd best couple would be the teacher couple. They were real cuties^-^

I disliked the bffs to lovers couple for some reason:'/ not sure why:')

Overall, i do think is a good drama which had so much potential, but ended up being rather repetitive, predictable and cliched.

《Nevertheless,》had the good actors, an awesome and refreshing storyline and great cinematography(?) and beautiful OSTs. Also, the first half was really interesting and promising and execution, acting done by all the actors was amazing and came across as natural. But the 2nd half just seemed another "feisty girl falls in love with a playboy dude" kind of story. I think it is one of the best example of a waste of talents.
