Great drama!
Story - very interesting and dynamic. World class military action series.Plot - without holes in the storyline, realistic, intensive and fascinating.
Acting - Yang Yang and Jiang Lu Xia are amazing and giving their all to the roles. This is Yang Yang best drama so far. The supporting actors are indeed great and have huge contribution to the drama. Until 45 ep no bad performance all actors complement each other.
Cinematography - very professional and impressive.
Costumes and make-up - unbelievable good and realistic.

Fascinating acting, extremely underrated drama.
The wind blows from Longxi is a real gem with delightful acting and adorable hidden details.However it is not like NIF or Joy of Life, or any other action costume drama with many fighting scenes and "flying" warriors.
Also it is definitely not a traffic drama for young audience.
Mature storyline.
The middle-aged actors radiate depth of emotions and expressions. The casting is perfect, main and supporting actors match each other and create charming vibes and very good chemistry on the screen.
Suitable costumes, realistic settings and scenery.
Such pleasure to watch.

Fascinating, but underrated drama.Storyline
Interesting story. No holes in the plot and superficiality. Mature characters.
Actors and Acting
The Impressive and charismatic acting of all main male leads: Wayne Wang, Zhu Yi Long, Wang Zhi Wen, Li Qiang made the journey through the series delightful.
The second female character Lan Xin Jie/Zhu Zhu exceeded the FL in acting and delivering the sense of realism in the story.
Lang Lang variation of Tchaikovsky is beyond perfection.

Really very good quality
High level cinematography, interesting and fast moving plot from the very beginning, which put you in the center of the story (excellent idea).Very good mass scenes, gorgeous costumes and decoration.
Intensive and well composed fighting scenes.
Acting of the main 3 leads was fascinating. All 3 lead actors delivered their characters completely and authentically. Especially pleasant was the FL character and Victoria Song acting (unusual female mature acting for Chinese dramas, without overacting).
Very good supporting actors and supporting characters revelation.

Complicated impression …So amazing costumes! The designing team is really professional and capable!
So amazing acting!
Chen Kun is definitely one of the most talanted chinese actors. Top world level. Above and beyond all cliches. With such huge charisma, incredible gaze and facial expressions - he is the core of the story. The sixth prince Ning Yi is amazing and distinctive from "hero" type man. WOW!
Ni Ni - the best chinese actress, I've seen so far. Beautiful herself with good acting skills. She does not have typical over-acting, inadequate immature expressions and silly annoying behaviour as most of the "famous" chinese female stars have. Her performance was on point. I like her more as Wei Zhi, but as Zhiwei she was also good.
The Emperor and his first eunuch, Xin ZiYan, Gu NanYi, Ning Cheng, Chang ZhongXin and the Lord of Minhai - all of them were soo impressive!
However the plot is a mess with a lot of holes. Without such incredible actors the drama would be a disaster with this plot.
The drama is too long and slow with many unrealistic scenes, that could be cut. The drama would be very good 40-45 episodes instead of 70. Also there were a lot of minor characters, who do not bring value and quality, but only confusion - thus they could be cut at all too.
The end has some ambiguity. The female lead looks too lively vital and energetic to commit suicide. And also ... after so many people sacrificing themselves for her such end looks a bit unbalanced.
