Can't believe almost 5 months have gone by... Lol this drama was the final nail for me to push myself at last…
Wow I hope you can plan and travel to these places and get to visit Nanjing too!!! I finished an end to end re-watch over the weekend, clearly I have nothing better to do. 😂

Just finished the series I think everyone who loves romance will absolutely love the first half of the series…
First half is one drama and 2nd half is a different era of the same drama. I just love both the timelines, it is soo good, never felt the need to fast forward a single episode except for the really sad episode in between where the story transitions.

Modern crown story my rear end. Give me some of that old-school Ancient drama scheming. No offense to Baby King…
Or send the man to war as army general at the borderland somewhere. Do a classic "5 years later...". 🤭

In my opinion, this might not be the show for you. It's 28 episodes mostly revolving around one case: it has to…
Ok that's a good summary for me. Thanks for giving the lowdown, I agree on the writers not having the skills but could you elaborate on what made it entertaining?

The beginning isn't really slow pace... Everything is a clue, every person, every line, every shot is a clue,…
Interesting

I really want to follow this drama because the acting has been good so far by the 2 male leads. Didi in his deglamorised look and the more serious tone has been fresh to watch as well! I think director is going for a slow hitchcockish vibe however it is not working so far in the story. I will follow this comment section, please tell me how it is going half way through around episode 17 and then I might pick it up again.

Thanks

I’ve been in both Kdrama and Cdrama fandoms. This kind of ragebaiting usually works more in Cdrama spaces, while…
this is not a rage-bait. This humour is not for everyone!!! I am just laughing with text, that's all :D

Forget everything else but Cdrama wannabe? Cdramas are getting popular now because they’re pretending to be…
btw, I disagree that dramas before 2016 weren't great! Some Older k-dramas feel poorly made now, but at the time they were iconic pop culture ! lovely sam soon, Full House, BOF, Hearstrings, moon embracing the sun....so sooo many., shut up boy band naming just a few!

ok, I get it! but to call it shining is an overstatement, I think love in translation was shining. it in fact brought me back to k-dramas, only Hong sisters could do that.

I will stop watching c-dramas the day they become like k-drama., both are so unique and need to remain so. k-Dramas hv been afflicted by western influence since Netflix it is getting worse.

you need to watch the ones made post covid.
K-dramas have a mature way of building relationships , writers focus on emotional connection, internal turmoil, and often touch upon grey areas covering social issues. I have a certain understanding of K dramas after watching them for many many years.
Admittedly, C-drams do romance so much better, and they are able to keep it mature (if written to be so) in a very different way by elevating personal choice, keeping innocence alive, allowing more self -expression in words and behaviour. Perfect yearning, perfect chemistry, perfect banter.
This drama is attempting to crossover, but it is failing terribly.

bad acting? what bad acting? who? where? Because I do not see it. 🙈
Probably because acting itself doesn't exist. sorry , sorry it has been like watching a Disney cartoon for a 5 year old (barring the 15+ stuff)

trend on this drama with episodic progression -

Good,

**ramp walks and C-drama wannabe zone**

Good enough,

**outspoken, ambitious, confident FL yay!*
**villain queen aesthetic**
**poppo ya**

could be better....

**third wheeling 2nd ml **
**low IQ story setup meh**
**tropes, more tropes, tropiest tropes**

where have we seen this before...

**fake coy not working** mhm...

It will pick up surely, 5 more episodes left

It’s not about ‘anguish,’ it’s just people engaging with something they care about. If it feels average…
ok, don't chill! Did that help?
