Moreover, it was jinmai that underperformed in SOM, she is otherwise pretty good in most of her other dramas. You really need to read words carefully and not jump to premeditated conclusions.

i am commenting on overall acting and unfortunately ml is not a good actor, he has a very limited range, his face hardly changes. Note his wig is also poorly constructed. Fl acting is ok ok. This type of xianxia can be over the top and agreed there's a nostalgic early 2010s element to it, but after watching LBFAD and Love game in eastern fantasy, you couldn't possibly convince someone that this is not a mediocre drama .

Episode 7 is really frustrating to watch, how is the FL emotionally blackmailing a person with stage 4 cancer and falling sick herself in the process ! I hope this gets resolved rationally.

No, it is pretty well seasoned across episodes already, the newer episodes add a layer of complexity which makes it even more watchable .

I am already watching Mouli, It is interesting and brings out another side of Bai Lu apart from the story being great. I had to drop Blossom, it was not worth the time. The thing is that i am really looking forward to Blossoms of Power with He Yu, hope it is nothing like this.
