finished the novel in 2 days. couldn't wait. let me tell you,you might think fl is the red flag in the drama,like how sometime she treated everything in such a way,despite Luke's efforts. in the novel,Luke was a nasty mean jerk to fl, so those remarks of fl made sense. but in the drama he's toned down,but her responses from the novel was same. that's why fl seemed such a red flag in the drama. but tbh, Ml in the novel was kind of stupid. he has the communication skills of a toddler. but he really did love her whole heartedly. he might be a jerk but he's heart is of a gold. he's not a hypocrite, he's not a two faced. he just never knew he fell for her. though his pride was the biggest problem in their relationship. his love was intense.

Really loved the drama. Not a fan of Zhao Jinmai but man..Song Weilong though. he's so freaking handsome. I know he gives the warmest hugs,he is very gentle and very sweet. sigh.. dream man. Story wise, it's good. There are many people who's like oh no ml is boring,oh no her life is too smooth.. like wtf? don't you guys wish for a smooth life? don't you guys wish for a calm, gentle, understanding life partner? what type of kink is that,that you want problems in fl's life or that you like ml who's troublesome? I really don't understand people's masochistic tendencies. who even loves torturing themselves by watching stressful shows? don't you guys already have enough stress? also someone said SWL lacks charisma,girl where? if he lacked charisma than cdrama actors aren't your thing.

Rewatching..and the ML is such a green flag. ❤️🥺 he's really really so sweet,calm,gentle...the way he pursued fl took my heart away. These type of men are the best life partner you can ever get. there won't be any fights,any conflicts because goddddd he's so gentle ❤️

and it's over.. I'll miss these guys and their chemistry. the older cast and younger cast,both are fun. especially Nai Shu. love him.. he's really funny. Lin Yi and Jingfei ge both are awesome addition to this variety show. usually new cast aren't that fun,but Jingfei ge were very very entertaining. will miss it.

it's not just the ai. it's more like.. the execution of the drama. did you notice how she flew up in the airplane scene? this was as ridiculous as it could get.

😂 sorry to burst your bubble. the real reason is the production. it's the weirdest thing to watch in 2026. the scenes look more AI than actual AI. and you know,there are many many dark cdramas. especially short dramas.

yeah.. it's a loose end in the drama. so people who haven't read the novel,are confused.

Xiao Huayong faked his death by getting stabbed while saving the emperor. same like the drama. after that,they had a corpse similar to xiao Huayong lay in the coffin. while he and xie yunhai left for his treatment through a secret passage. his return was tricky. when Xihe became the empress dowager,she was very young after all. so some ministers thought to curry favor with her,by bringing her men. she threw them out. but one minister sent her a man that looked like xiao Huayong,she killed him instantly in anger. later,prince changqing sent a man that looked like xiao Huayong too. but it was actually xiao Huayong himself. so all the people who got the information thought it's another man that looked like the crown prince. other people,who didn't know about this thing, didn't know there was a man that looked like xiao Huayong in the palace,with Xihe. only some ministers who are closest to Xihe and Huayong knew he returned. like cui Jinbai knew,and other trusted people.
he never had official status. Xihe and Huayong planned that after their son reached the marriageable age, they'd leave the palace and roam around the world.

There were differences between drama and the novel. instead of Changqing,it was Changying who died. the emperor and the previous crown prince both were sons of the empress dowager. the emperor was actually trying to wipe out Shen family. shen yingrou married another royal relative,who was also a hereditary prince and there were many more.. but the drama didn't disappoint me even though it tweaked the plot slightly. Changqing's devotion to Gu Qingzhi/Shen Xihe.. god.. I loved every bit of it. I'll have to say, I've never ever ever read or watched any drama/novel where the female lead is loved by so many men(and a fake man) of her life. her father,her brother,her husband,her ex husband,her ex husband's brother,the fake man Bu Shulin.. every person she had close relationship with,loved her dearly. even the step sister,she also admired her. this was a fresh feeling.
Shen Xihe is the first cnovel/drama fl I've admired. she's cold, calculative, extremely smart and would never let anyone take advantage over her. typically,they make such loved, pampered fls into a cringey, cutesy blabbering fool. she's such a refreshing character,that I've admired her since I've read the novel.

I never once said MZY goes to FCC first. because I know it's all scripted.. and that's why I said KR is trying to force chemistry between them and shove it on our faces. It's not like I have any personal issues with her, so don't make it sound like that. I'm saying it's KR production team who are doing this. so don't say,fans are hating on her. whether she leaves or not,it depends on her and the KR team. So don't you make the mzy fans think that fans are pressing her to leave. 🤨

I'm liking the new season,more than previous season. everyone is very funny and casual here. especially the older geges 😂😂😂. and Wang Yuwen became my new favourite in variety shows. she's so cool,funny and cute looking. she reminds me of BaiLu. ahem and um.. SHE HAS EXPLOSIVE CHEMISTRY WITH LIU YUNING 🔥. I almost started to ship them,their hug,was so cuteeee and comforting. ugh.. someone cast them in a drama together! Liu Yuning is so.. dreamy. I didn't get his charm before,but after watching that scene with Yuwen,I get his fans. 😌❤️

I just saw the latest trailers..Bu Shulin..became a mother.. hehehehe.. with her manly attire,it feels like Mpreg 😂😂😂

Everything is toned down vertical short drama type. BUT...those vertical short dramas are guilty pleasures. Like spicy snacks you eat,and once you've started eating,you can't just stop. 🤣 So I'm kinda liking the drama. 😌
Also Wang Churan is looking so pretty here. Cheongsam/Qipao suits her figure very well. 💖

I think I finally know why she got a hate campaign. It's because she was establishing her own company. She has influence and a large fanbase. If she has her own company, she won't lose out much. But her competitors,they won't let her.. they're afraid. No wonder she was losing fans,got so much hate, trying ruining her influence.

I'm continuously arguing others in defense of Shen Xihe. THAT GIRL IS NOT UNFEELING. COLD. OR RUDE. IT'S JUST SHE DOESN'T GIVE A CRAP ABOUT ROMANTIC LOVE. Have you seen her being rude to her brother? Father? Friends? No.. because she does love and care about others. Familial love is also a form of love. Her family's future depends on her marriage ffs. Can she just act like love brained fool? She doesn't dare. She saw Gu family massacre,even her 3 year old nephew was executed. And it was her husband who loves her,that saw over that. She doesn't blame Changqing,but know love alone cannot save them. Now as Shen Xihe,she doesn't want to see another massacre of her family. What's wrong with everyone?

2026 cdramas are for 2nd lead couples lol. first it was Qi Min and Yu Qian Qian and now Cui Jinbai and Bu Shulin. I love them all. but at least CJB and BSL will get happy ending.
