I love Shen Xihe(Gu Qingzhi) so much along with Bu Shulin.
People need to understand that Shen Xihe is not an unfeeling person. it's just that she doesn't dare to trust a man's feelings. she may not be able reciprocate romantic feelings like other fls,but she loves the Shen family,loves the northwest. this is also a form of love. she wants power to save her family and the people that are residing in northwest. because if she marries a man who sweet talks her,then changes his heart one day,that man who'd become the emperor,might kill the Shen family,and it'll throw the NW in chaos. she wants to grasp the power in her hand rather than believing in feelings. in her words,even if one day,the man she chooses turns against her,if she holds power,she can at least save the Shen family.
and Bu Shulin.. my girl.. they toned you down so much. aish.. but I still love this drama bu Shulin. she's such a good actress.
ps. at first I didn't find He Yu that attractive,but then in episode 13,when he was killing assasins..brooo..it made my heart flutter. HE'S SUPER ATTRACTIVE.

she's never been a b****. she's rational enough,she just doesn't respond to any man's feelings towards her. feelings are necessary but that doesn't have to be a romantic love. familial love,friendship love they count as love too. besides,the setting of this drama is in ancient times where men could take concubines, which is very normal especially in imperial household. so if she doesn't protect her heart, who's to say she won't get crushed by that love. and even now, cheating and abusive relationships are very common. the stories are I've seen, heard about cheating is as many as pebbles on the roadside. so it's either you stay unfeeling or you get your heart crushed by that thing called love.

the reason Shen Xihe (Gu Qingzhi) is stoic and indifferent to romantic love is because Gu Qingzhi's mother told her that, "Only when a woman is heartless, unfeeling can a woman live freely." and she's absolutely right. romantic feelings change with slightest disturbance. I take Shen Xihe(Gu Qingzhi) as my mentor atp. I'd fight whoever tries to badmouth her. you place your trust,your feelings on a man,who's to say he wouldn't someday betray you for his self interest. I've read,saw many many stories about women going downhill because of that so called love.

I'm not sure which scene you're talking about. I saw a scene where he was shirtless and hugging the fl. and in that particular clip,the comments were disabled. so.. I was actually thinking maybe they're getting bashed and will get bashed. it was on insta.

Hou Minghao will get bashed for doing this drama. even though it's not his fault but the company's fault.

Maybe because many of the short dramas take mainstream dramas,movies plotline and produce their own. For example prisoner of beauty.

Funny yet weird and a very dogshyt plot.
But the other plot is very good. The drama melon with Chen Zheyuan. It sounds like a very sweet, soothing romantic story.

Tbh I think it's more plausible that PGY guy is the 2ml. Because the plotline is very heavy (and dogshyt,I hate it). In which the villain(2nd ml)has very large amount of screentime. While the real ml might not have much screentime.
Ps. I really hope CZY and BL does a drama together.

The reason I want BaiLu to leave because no matter how well director and members treat her,if the sponsors wants to make her leave,they can't really do anything. So it's better if she leaves on her own.

FCC and MZY interactions are extremely forced. Idk if you've noticed,but it's like very scripted. And KR really is pushing those interactions to viewers face. They're trying very hard.
