Let's first talk about its storyline It is definitely not boring, and it Keeps going better and better after every episode . Story is about Emperor's grandson who doesnt want to fight for throne but because of special circumstances And because of peace of nation he has to fight for it And in the process, he fell in love with the female lead . His father and brothers, who want the throne, are all useless , And for the throne, he wanted to kill li ni and in process many of his beloved one dies so he finally become crown prince ....

If we talk about actors they are really showing a very good chemistry . There are many few dramas every year who has such kind of great chemistry and they both are very strong and independent . Main lead very smart although all of the empire thinks that female leaders is a male But by first seeing her, he knows that she is a girl, which is quite interesting .

Music is also a very great and exciting which suits the war dramas and some osts are very relaxing I quite like them.

There are many few historical drama this year that I like most but I definitely know. This is one of them.

The first thing i want to clear is that many international fans are watching this drama for romantic scenes , but i want to clarify that it is not a romcom drama . it is a family drama and mainly female centric plot ... so the screentime is also divided with family members of FL ...

The main theme of a drama is on how dominating asian moms wants to control their children all the time ... the drama wants to tell us that even if child has to be respectful but he should also raise his voice against their parents wrong behaviour and parents should always try to understand their child 's point of view...

ML is a rich and hansome guy who got abondoned in his childhood and in result of that he loves money over family relations ...
He is a successful businessman who can do good or bad things for his own profit , because only money gives him a sense of security ...
FL is a cheerful lady who got decieved in her past relationship ... now she only wants to focus on her carear ...Her main focus is never to become a rich person , but to see his family smiling all the time ,

Both the ML and FL are mature and understands how this world works ... For example , in starting when Ml used the FL for his own profit , she also understands his point of view and never complained with him on this topic and on other side she just got cautious with him , because she understands that Ml is a smart businessman who can use anyone for his profit ...

This drama has the best confession scene , without any third party involved and all his words comes from his heart and his eyes is the proof of his sincerity ...
Kiss scene between ML and FL is also full of desires ... it is both cute and hot ...

The last time i watched such a great chemistry is in Hidden love but this drama surpasses that in terms of chemistry and cuteness , i can't even tell how much i smile whenever i saw our leads together on a screen whether they are bickering , eating or having conversation all are filled with sweetness ...

Here we get the cutest and lovely grandma who wants his grandson to become gentle and for that she knows that only FL can do that ... Grandma perfectly divides her inheritance so that they can keep interacting in future , because grandma knew that they will make a great couple in future ...

One of my most loved character is ML 's assistant , whenever he comes humour always comes with him ... he is more like a friend to ML ...

FL 's bestie always gives the best advice for FL , which makes her character more special ...

FL 's brother is also a responsible guy , who did not have job but he always wants to fulfil his responsibility as a son to their family and also to ease the burden on FL ... and for that he do a part time job .

Their clothing is very suitable according to their characters ... OST 's of this drama gives us a peaceful mind .

Now let me talk about some bad things in the future ...

- FL 's ex family is a whole scum ... Her ex has no backbone and is an irresponsible guy and his family always looks down on FL 's family and always humiliates them which is the main reason of their breakup ...

- FL 's father who never opposes his wife 's wrong action ... He failed his duty as a senior of the house ...

- Fl 's mother who loves money more than her children and for that she is both annoying and shameful character ... she keeps humilating her family in front of FL 's ex family for their money , and after that she tried her best to take full inheritance of grandma ...

This drama keeps getting better and better with each episode with a good pace of story ... although there are some annoying character in this drama but this drama is more cute and funny with warmthness of a faimly ...

I'm not a fan of anyone from the cast And all of these are new faces to me But I'm more than impressed by their marvellous acting , just because i love detective theme in dramas and i have watched many dramas in this genre , but this is the best ...

In terms of prodution , set , costume , their acting and their attitude all have reached perfection ... the best thing is here even ML is strong and knows how to fight with his great martial arts not like from other dramas where ML only uses his brain but have no strenght to fight ...

this drama is moving with a great pace and till ep 8 there is no romance involved ... i have never fastforward any scenes because the story is not draggy at all . ..

our ML whose name is Di renjie is a great observer of things even if there is no case going on but he still notices everything around him which makes him a great detective ... he has impressed empress in very early episodes so now he becames a magistrate of a small riverside country ...he also have a crush on a dancer Coa an ...

This drama has strength to become one of the best drama of 2024 ...i am really happy that my year starts with this great drama ..

This is my most anticipated drama of 2024 and worth my patience and time . before airing we have no trailer and as it is a drama that adopted from gameplay , i am a bit nervous ...but this time tencent has done a great job ... i got a best result from what i can imagine ...

KEY POINT - This drama is definitely not childish but it has full of mysteries , emotions and cuteness ...Pacing of this drama is praiseworthy , i did not even realize when the episodes ends everyday ....

Yu shuxin - While watching drama , i am thinking that esther got born for playing yue qi 's role ... she really nailed this role . Her all fighting actions and her hand gestures are mind blowing and QI 's purity , cuteness and naivity are all well played by esther .

Fu xinbo - He really acts like that he is a senior of whole group , his white hairs are looking very beautiful . the way he shows his love shamelessly in front of everyone is really adorable ...

Wan peng - Not anyone can play man 's role but she had completely slayed it , her voice , costume and posture is really as of a man , she is really suitable for this role ...

Bai bingke - This is my first time watching her , but she is very good in showing emotions ... her unconditional love for her master made me fall for her ... as an introvert , she did not hesitate to save friends ...

Zhou zhan - Shifang 's cuteness and hesitation is well done by this young actor ... he also has a great crush on shou xuan ...

because of high popularity of chinese paladin series in china this drama is doing more than great ...SAF 6 is continuously topping all the charts in china and very well praised by netizens and even game producer is priasing them now ...

Tencent is getting both fame and money by this drama ....by selling airing rights of SAF 6 in china to IQIYI , tencent has made a good profit ...but this highly impact on their heat index which is quite disappointing ...

I wish this drama to achieve more heights and views ...

Do not hesitate because of rating

I just finished the drama and I love it more now, than when I started. I am so glad I did not dropped it just because it rated at only 8.0 on Mydramalist. I continue just because of the wonderful casts and my beliefs in them delivering their best. It didn’t disappoint. The acting were superb, the dialogues were engaging and at times captivating, the story was interesting and satisfying.
Sure it has some flaws in the last few episodes, where some scenes seemed jumpy and some matters were not properly explained. But the whole story makes up for the small imperfections. Congratulations to the production house and its crew for an excellent drama.
While I do love Yang Hua & Qin Shi together, I actually secretly don’t mind if Qin Shi ended up with Tao Junhui. LZF is excellent as TJ. His uncomfortableness every single time YH name was brought up by whoever are just so well done. TJ and QS interactions with each other were just next level, its like they understood each other beyond the spoken words.
But of course YH and QS are the ultimate couple, who wouldn’t want a partner like that, who supports you not only at home but at work too. YH unconditional love is just what a person like QS needs.
I love the bosses Chen & Hui, both their kindness and meanness. Li Dai to me is annoying. She seeks too much help in her work from others. Qin Shi is always the better lawyer than her, but her character adds flavor to the story so I can live with that, just like all the family and office members.
Its so unfair and sad that the drama rating is not higher than 8 .

Can we have a two hour movie please to satisfy our unfulfilled desires to watch more of YH & QS ? ;)

Biggest plot --- This drama has shows us what a badass female lead looks like ... she do not hesitate while killing at all .

I will spoil all of you that All of the casts died at the end of episodes So if you don't want to see - deaths of beloved ones , then this drama is not for you.

this drama has many shortcomings as when it starts it is very slow paced then after 20 ep this drama is running with great pace but at last 6 ep they rushed the whole drama and completely ruined it ..

this is one of those types drama which has very high potential but can't express it --- how great it would look like when a Assasin falls in love with enemy country secret agency commandant

the thing i like the most is they welll showed character development of yang ying ...

I also think I come in that minority group who thinks that although this drama has many romantic scenes but I can not feel any romantic sparks between our leads , i like the story between yu shisan and chu yue although it has not even started but then yu shisan is dead ...
at middle of drama i was thinking that it is the best wuxia genre but now my hopes are completely ruined ...

i started this drama when it is airing and i have low expectations with this drama but as it passes 2-3 episode , i knows that it will break many records ..because it is perfect in cast , action scenes and dialouges and the best part of this drama that it does not have unnecessary love theme because it does not suit at all ...

MLC is not the typical fast-paced drama, as it mainly focuses on solving individual mysteries that all contribute to the main storyline. While it might not be everyone's cup of tea, especially for viewers who like non-stop action and romantic entanglements, it presents a story and character-driven approach that is worth exploring.

It turned out one of my fav drama. Acting skills , cast , and all are perfect.? The song also beautiful ,melts my heart?. This drama is too relatable to us and heart touching. There is a lot funny moments ,it rememberes us of our childhood. I really liked this drama. You can watch this without any doubt .
Their childhood days are really memorable and enjoyable .
I started watching this drama because of my fav actor steven zhang, now i'm in love with this drama. I don't want this to end , but all good things has to come an end .

an high budget drama ruined with a bad script .

The story starts pretty nice till ep 8 - 10 but after that the story becomes draggy ...i think if someone skips ep 11 to 16 , he will not miss anthing in the story ... Although i love romcoms but i love the drama where story is not draggy ... and as i have said before in comments that - '' in this drama , i can't feel romantic vibes from their romance scenes '' ...

this drama is just like Love me love my voice where there is nothing but eating , laughing , texting , kisses and i am disappointed in both of the dramas ...

as the two clubs are competitors , there should be some fierce feelings at start but all the boys are so friendly that i think tencent can make a especial bl drama for them ...

i am watching this drama till ep 20 , because i always feels when their games starts , it will be fun to watch but now i do not want to continue because i know they are going to win every match ...

i also somewhat feels off when i think how can lin yiyang can win every match after his return ,,, i can understand he is a gem in snooker but he retired so early and even if he practise daily , how can he beat proffesionals because as he said he has a college to attend and he also joins many part time job ... so i think , in terms of sports i think it is confusing that how can he and his girlfriend are winning every matches ...
thats why i always feels that sports and romance are the genres which can't be mixed because if an player gets in relationship how can he focus on his training ...

the only thing i love is relationship between his coach and him and also friendship of lin yiyang and wu wei ...

i am giving it 3.5 because of their costumes , background and specially osts ...

no storyline + great cast = total mess

This drama is really cute and enjoyable until ep 8 till they started dating but after this there is nothing more than continuation of gazing at each other , laughing , cooking and eating , dating . the male lead who is doctor and voice dubbing actor who did not even have time for his own sleep but has time for dating .
This drama is more than unrealistic , a normal college girl got her idol as her boyfriend who is not only famous but also gentle , handsome , rich , knows to cook , he is in excellence in everything . i did not even like the fact that they fall for each other just because of their voices ,,,
I also don't like that female lead Always sees male lead as her idon not as her boyfriend and say yed to everything to him , i really do not like naive girls ...

as for the rest cast , all of these has a very easy going life like a dream with no hardships , in which although some has their company and are doctors but still they are free to do anything ...

although i like acting of cast members but it is a hollow shell in which there is nothing to watch , we are not watching dramas just to see someone dating and kissing ..

i love dramas which are quite realistic and shows true face of society and hardship ...

as a big fan of tan jianci , i try to hold myself till now but i am really disappointed ...lets see him again in future .....

A VERY BORING DRAMA

this drama has very high potential but it fall apart because of boring flashbacks ....by passing of each episode it is getting more and more boring . they did not even explain well how they got these powers and how ANSP is working at its own without government authorisation ...
i understand that they want to provide back stories of every cast but this drama shows flashbacks in worst way ...each backstory is 2 - 3 episodes long which can be easily done in 30 minutes to 1 ep ...
the human beings with powers are quite natural genre and there is nothing different about it ...

my advice - do not start this because of ratings ...

in short it is my one of the WORST drama of 2023 ...

MY fav drama of all time ...

This is my first xianxia drama and after watching this i fall in love with this genre ..I’m probably not lying if I call the Xianxia genre my soulmate. I am a sucker for this beautiful genre, and Ancient Love Poetry is a must-watch if you enjoyed/loved the previous famous Xianxias. The drama brings you into a world of magic and beauty that makes it terribly hard for you to take your eyes offscreen.
The whole cast are really great in showing their emotions , i can 't even tell how much i cry while watching this ...after this drama Xu kai become my fav actor ...and zhou dong yu really played her role very elegantly , from cute and carefree to a mature chief god who sacrifices herself , then again from helpless character to most powerful character shanggu ...

OSTs of this drama are like a strawberry on a big cake ...every ost is literally pleasant to hear .

Ancient Love Poetry’s production is such a gem . The production is simply gorgeous, and the drama’s high budget certainly paid off and was used to its full potential. The costumes look simple with its light pastel colors, but with its simplicity comes a wave of freshness and slight joy. The drama’s CGI is not a joke, either. Each strand of magic and spell is carefully produced to the most believable extent, providing a most magical experience for the audience. Each realm in the drama also gives off special vibes.
i wish i can see more of xianxia like this ...
Overall-
It is still quite hard to believe that Ancient Love Poetry might have just become my favorite Cdrama of all time. The title of Xianxia of 2021 is most fitting for this drama, if not enough.

Wasted time and talent of great actors

i think i found everything messy in this drama because the storyline is itself very boring and meaningless ... i really do not understand their reasons of many actions ... Both of them are doing great at acting but they really can't save this storyline .

this drama is a complete remake of love 020 ... where everything is same like FL is most beautiful in campus , she is also a gamer , both first met in game , she fell for him in real life and he fell for her in game firstly ...

do i should watch it for a FL who did such a horrible lion dance at her exam , she knew what she is doing is going to her own dignity but she keeps doing it untill she got rejected harshly in front of everyone . although her character changes but i think her past actions are more than annoying ...

ML is so arrogant , that i do not know how to continue ... she got late to submit to her work and he found out it was not her fault but still rejected her work and after than he apologies ... she worked so hard but he brushes her off with just a sorry ...
if he is so smart then i think he should be practical in life and not have an online crush whom he is so devoted on that he can even love the person he hated the most ...

FL 's friend is the worst friend who gives all the wrong advices to her and FL also follow her blindly ...

That secretary's social anxiety level is so high that i do not know how she even passed her school ...

only ML's bestfriend is the character that i like the most , but when he is going to start dating that secretary , i do not think he in his own senses ...

i did not even understand company ;s intention for bringing a ungraguate person for becoming a head of whole department ... i can understand he is talented but should not he should gain some experience if he is living in real life ...

Music of the drama is quite good but as i said it can't save the storyline ...

i really think one should not change their personality for anyone , because it is the thing you can't hide for long time ... i wish dramas do not continue these stuffs of split personality ...

as the romance have not started , i can't say anything about their chemistry ...

the thing i do not like the most is he is prying in her personal life by not saying that he is his online friend , she shares everything about ML knowing they do not know each other but what he is doing are completely against ethics ...

i will definitely try Angels falls sometime , because that has a more stable and realistic storyline full of emotions ..
