I'm surprised people liked the anime better, it was such a weird experience and some parts were just so random (the cult arc!!). In comparison, the drama, while still very idealised and dramatic, feels a lot more realistic and moving. I like how it looks at the bigger picture and how surviving such a disaster starts with saving individuals but goes way beyond that (how do you preserve a culture, an identity, a community? What makes a home or a country? What's the price to pay to save a nation, etc.). I agree that maybe we needed another pov from the normal people's perspective but I still highly appreciate the angle this drama chose to approach the subject. It's by no means perfect but every episode had me either stressed or in tears or in deep thought so I can say it relayed its message successfully.
They mentioned. At first has been told it'll have two seasons with 6-6 episodes, but it ended up having only one…
Oh I see. Sometimes they cut a drama in two and call it a "season" or "part" (like Tracer and Through The Darkness) but it's really just the usual format. Anyway, yes King of Pigs is only 12 episodes, no other season.
I'm confused, the countdown says it starts tomorrow march 17th but the details say it's a fri-sat drama starting…
I think I get it now. It will air at midnight korean time so it's technically the 18th there but for most of us in other parts of the world it's still the 17th.
I really don't know what to say. This has started off weird and remained so till the very end but at least in the beginning it was actually funny then the moment it tried to be serious it was just awkward and ridiculous in an unfunny way. Scenes and paper-thin characters randomly came and went without any logical transition or a hint of development. I liked it better when it was just a crack show and wish it stayed that way. I finished it but I leave with the feeling that it was a waste of time.
Watcha released a statement about the leaks and clearly pointed at overseas platforms that got the licence. Tho…
This is their post. I'm not worried about them not releasing dramas internationally anymore (there's a growing market and they can't possibly let go of it) but I bet viki is gonna get hit hard for their laxity.
I would hate it if it was true. That's emotional manipulation and it's not good :/
Exactly, from the early episodes they did say he was planning to go abroad and he must have applied in many places so this isn't as random after all. Also, like you said, it doesn't suit his character and while he has his flaws I don't see or wish for this to be one of them.
So the leaks I guess were from Viki cause the subs are exactly the same. Is that why they are over 2 hours late!
Watcha released a statement about the leaks and clearly pointed at overseas platforms that got the licence. Tho they didn't mention the name, we all know it's viki
God I love this trope, it never gets old xD
It's just the thrill of the first watch that I will miss
