It's not weird, I feel the same way too. I like how the fandom is not big, it's fun and peaceful without the creeps and fetishizers.

From episode 1, after Adachi realizes his new acquired power, the first thing he does is change his habits and routines to avoid physical contact with others as best as he can (waking up early, avoid rush hour, pay with his phone, not taking the packed elevator, etc). He doesn't like to pry and he has never taken advantage of his power, except too times : with Rokkaku and the angry client who wanted Mont Blanc. Everything else, he heard by accident and especially with Kurosawa who he knows likes him romantically so he's extra careful with him. All of this is in line and coherence with who Adachi is as a person, not because the writers are lazy and don't know what to do with it. In fact, they're making it clear the mind-reading is there mostly to kick start the story and not as the only device that keeps the plot moving. Their focus is on characters and their emotions and actions and it is important that these come from a genuine and sincere place instead of being dictated and manipulated by the mind-reading. This would be the real "cheating", relying on the plot device instead of fleshing out the characters. Episode 7 lacked any mind-reading because it is not needed, it is where Kurosawa voices out everything and Adachi is given time and space to process his feelings on his own and then express them openly. The choice to "drop" the power is once again coherent and consistent and serves to give more meaning to what we witnessed.

As for Kurosawa, most of episode 6 is him having the hardest time restraining himself, he wants Adachi in many ways (he gets flustered when he find himself on top of him on the bed, he gets jealous when others get his attention, he wnats to touch him when he's sleeping, etc). His thoughts about the mole and some of his daydreams are also implied to have a sexual connotation and Adachi knows that and never lets himself see/hear them further so we never get a graphic presentation of that (that and to keep the show viewer friendly). If a viewer can't guess this much, I'm sorry it's more their problem rather than the show's. I'm expecting the topic of sex will come up at some point now that they're together and their relationship is moving forward. Kurosawa never struck me as chaste and Adachi himself admits he doesn't want to stay virgin. The idea of acquiring the power also means that it will be lost if the person is no longer a virgin and I imagine this is where it's going.

I don't know how any of this came across as homophobic or problematic to you. CMis literally the most harmless show and it has done nothing but present this love in the most respectful way I've seen.

It really was! I've been in such a good mood since thursday, it's amazing how simply thinking of it keeps me going and gives me energy ^_^

It's funny how antsy I was the entire week after episode 6 but now, while I'm still excited for episode 8, I'm just here basking contentedly in the sheer perfection that was episode 7. My heart is still full and warm <3

They already gave us the most tender and most intimate hug I've ever seen even when we didn't expect it. Surely them holding hands isn't that impossible, it's totally normal at this stage of their relationship *fingers crossed*

Exactly, they use every second effectively and they manage to keep the right balance between comedy and more serious moments. It's just perfect!

I agree. I don't feel robbed, I actually prefer the way it was done in the drama. It's more consistent with Adachi's character and it makes more sense considering they were mere acquaintances at that point.

And yet CM is the most satisfying watch ever. Quality over quantity

This reaction is probably what Kurosawa meant when he said he couldn't even speak about it. Most people would laugh it off and think it's nothing "what? you complain because you're pretty and favored? how shallow". Kurosawa understands that and so he keeps it to himself even when what really hurts him is being objectified and reduced to just looks. It's really humiliating and hurtful and can affect one's self-esteem. Even tho other people struggle with more serious issues, Kurosawa's feelings are still valid.
