I know right.. totally on point. All the nuances of initial curiosity, interest piqued, struggle to acknowledge to then love to then overwhelming protectiveness.. all done so well by LGX. I agree with you abt the actors that are just too "pretty". Yang Yang didn't have the presence or steel in him to feel "grown".

How do you guys feel abt LGX as XZ, I am totally loving it but some are saying he looks a bit too "bulky" they prefer the "skinnier" (Gao Wei Guang or Xiao Zhan) like "gods". But for me LGX is perfect plus the chemistry with ZLY is superior to any of the others I think that can act in the role. He has just enough of the aloofness and the slight smirk/naughty nature of XZ (who can do anything because he is so "bored")

The part where he was trying to remove the metal shards and she goes "phoenix mode" and he touches her "feathers" really got to me..... its so elegantly done... but eh I dont get what its trying to convey though but the intimacy. Did the novel mention anything on this portion?
