Romance as a war brews

Edge of Horizon was an exceptionally well done political/royalty drama. I LOVED the class conflicts, the real life historical events brought into the story, and the amount of time we got to spend with these characters. Watching them go from servant x prince to a military captain fighting for justice and a royal family standing in the way was BEAUTIFUL! I do wish that we got a little more with Phob as a servant, as it felt like the first few episodes were quite rushed. However, this drama was still absolutely amazing!

Phob (Inn) is a servant for the royal family and attends specifically to Prince Tinn (Ongsa). The royal family has always been good to Phob and his mother, including supporting Phob's education. However, when Tinn's father catches Phob and Tinn together in the prince's bed, he kicks Phob out and forbids anyone from speaking his name. Eleven years later, Tinn has an arranged marriage set up and continues his royal duties despite economic hardship for the country. Phob, now a military captain, reunites with Tinn in his new position; however, while the feelings between them remain, Phob is now involved in trying to change the country for the better - a change that will involve dethroning the royal family. Phob finds himself caught between his feelings for Tinn and his desire to help common people.

The story of this drama is absolutely fantastic. I loved watching these characters deal with the external conflicts that directly contradict their internal feelings. The actors did an incredible job portraying these characters, and if you're at all into royalty/historical dramas, this is a must watch. There are some lulls in the second half of the show that I wish they had sped up in order to give the characters more time early on to develop, but regardless, this was still a great watch.
