I’m sorry but I was there when the filming started for this I also read the novel and though the nocel was kind of crazy because I heard they changed how chenyi was in the drama so I really looked forward but i was only able to watch about 8 eps bc the story just wasn’t captivating I feel like they wasted so much time on unnecessary scenes and omitted a lot of things that happened between the leads in the past which makes their interactions in the future have no impact and make no sense. In a way they should’ve kept a bit of how chenyi was like in the past because now the hatred they have towards each other in the present makes little to no sense. It’s really a shame I looked forward to this for months just for it to turn out like this

i agree with this but you can’t really say the fl “chose this path” i took as she couldn’t stand the guilt and just gave herself up it made me feel extreme pity for her given how her life had been throughout the novel

yeah their first meeting in the novel is vastly different from the drama very shocking if u want i can send the link for that specific chapter

i mean the story is pretty interesting when they r in highschool if u want to read that but when it turns to them being adults u really wont like the ml if im being real i read about 10 chapters after they became adults and didnt continue

his character is very different from the drama. when they were in highschool he smoked, drank and was a playboy that switched gfs every other day but when he got with the fl he changed and became a better person then when she leaves him and we have the time skip he just loses it, he becomes such a red flag and does all sorts of things to the fl many intimate scenes in the novel are all in a way non consensual as the fl does it out of guilt

kisskh is pretty good and they r very fast with uploading but some of the eps they get the captions from mangotv but it seems they tweak with it a bit so its still not bad

I’m curious if they will add a certain aspect to his character but if they add that, one of the most uncomfortable scenes in the novel will occur so hopefully they don’t add

god I just came back here because its been a few months since I finished this and god I want to rewatch it so bad but just for chenmo and xiaohan’s love story they were genuinely the cutest thing ever I truly don’t understand why people rated it low just because xiaohan and qian jiayue werent endgame if anything it made more sense for xiaohan and chenmo to be because they matched each other better and also the actress of qian jiayue was literally a minor like why r we rooting for that
