One of liu yuning’s best dramas
this was seriously one of liu yunings best dramas and i am knew to li yitongs drams but she just gained a new fan there wasnt a single ep where i was bored. tho many viewers hated on the fl and called her annoying for not accepting his feelings at first i think they really were not thinking from her POV as the nan heng she knew was a man who was ruthless brutal and killed her but i will say my heart really hurt for nan heng ive never felt so much sadness for a ml like this before, but the reason this isnt a 10/10 is for one reason they dragged the misunderstanding for too long it couldve ended way before it did. To talk about the second lead chu guihong ive never seen such a drastic change in personality in my life he had so mucb hatred towards nan heng it was astonishing the way he would always try and bring everything back to nan heng even when it was investigated and nan heng was proved innocent he still had this weird thing against nan heng all because he couldnt take the fsct that he did something wrong and he was also the cause of many peoples death. The emotional scenes were amazing all of the cast conveyed the emotions perfectly that it really made the viewers feel their despair and helplessness and dont even get me started on the romance the chemistry was absolutely amazing i need liu yuning and li yitong in a modern drama now we cant let this chemistry go to waste this drama had an amazing ending too im glad the 18th prince got his happy ending after everything he went through overall i highly recommend this drama!!Was this review helpful to you?
Shocking outcome
Just finished this movie and wow I was shocked I went into this with no expectations whatsoever I only watched as I’m a fan of Zhang Zifeng and wanted to tune into her work. This movie shocked me to my core never in my life could I have predicted the way this movie was going.I saw many people talking about a gl subplot and I will say it was slightly there but to me It felt more like finally finding someone to connect with for Jiang Ning. Zhang Zifeng and Eva Du did a stellar job portraying this the mental anguish Jiang Ning was going through becuase of Zhong Ling’s addition to her life was very well portrayed by Zhang Zifeng and I will say in some scenes Eva Du will really get under skin but at times you will feel very bad for her. this was the first time I watched anything with Ma Yili and I think she did very well depicting the difference in how a coach acts and a mother acts.
This movie may seem like your typical East Asian Mother-Daughter dynamic but I assure you it is more than that. Her mom being her coach was a really nice touch to the movie as we how much being coached by her mom affected Jiang Ning and her attitude towards the sport. But showing the slight difference in their dynamic when they are mother daughter showed why she had some sort of guilt and compassion towards her mother.
I can’t really say much as that would be a spoiler but overall I really really recommend this to anyone who is hesitant to watch i guarantee it will be worth your time.

Beautiful story through and through
Just finished it and I am currently an emotional mess this drama had everything from comedy to romance to drama to political intrigue it had me hooked. I will say when it hit the late 20s my interest was dying but they had an amazing fight scene that reeled me back in immediately.From 30 onwards get your tissues ready folks cause the tears will not stop. Thank you to all the actors and actresses involved in this drama from main to support they carried this drama with such amazing acting I thought this was happening right before my eyes. My girl Meng Ziyi should not see a day of hate on her acting after this masterpiece the emotions she conveyed were so raw and real that I felt them all through a screen. I also have to give flowers to Xu Zhengxi/Jeremy Xu wow that guy had me feeling all kinds of emotions I have never felt so strongly about a charscter before in my life. His performance at the end of the drama was breathtaking it had me at the edge of my seat in suspense and tears I will for sure be tuning into more of his work.
If OSTs are what really make you stay for a drama let me tell the OSTs were jaw dropping I have to give it to the editors for knowing when to put which OST because it made every scene more captivating. in the last 6 episodes there wasn’t a single OST that didn’t instantly get me into the mood I don’t know if this was intentional but the lyrics of the OSTs that played matched the scenes perfectly it was as if it was the inner monologue of the character in said scene.
My final conclusion is this is one of the best historical/costume drama of 2026 I highly recommend this to anyone who thinks of watching it.

Beautifully sad slight
Wow this drama was the most gut wrenching drama i have ever watchedi am a person who feels emotional to dramas but this made me cry multiple times.
The development between the main leads was beautiful to watch it really showed the hardships of life and was extremely realistic to the point where i wanted it not to be realistic because my heart couldn’t take it anymore.
The reason why the rewatch value is so low is not because this is bad but because it’s so sad i don’t want to put myself through that sadness again overall if you are looking for a good engaging but sad drama to watch this is the one for you

Teaches that its ok to fall in love with your bully
Idk I just couldn't continue after I found out that Xia Fenghua would end up with Xie Wanghe I just disliked hte way he treated her honestly I disliked how all of the treated her that I just couldn't continue. I would love to hear a good reason to pick this back up because everyone seems to really like this drama but I really can't get past thatWas this review helpful to you?
