this is plain idiotic. Jing Boran is perfect for the role and I don’t think another actor would’ve fitted the role of the ML better. At the end of the day, haters will be haters

It is one of the best novels I’ve ever read (read it 3 times already) and I really hope that drama does it justice. But, these two were perfectly casted in my opinion. Both incredible actors. So I’m very excited

Did you read the novel? I’m genuinely curious. I read it and I can tell you that although the second hero truly loves her in a pure innocent way, at no point he wants to genuinely be with her. He actually struggles with serious depression that he keeps hidden from her. Also, the hero, although a very gray character is a very peculiar character too. He’s a individualist, emotionally struggling to form deep connections with other people (even his own parents know that he’s a very “peculiar” person, so they have little to no hope of him ever getting married or be with someone in a stable relationship). The heroine changes him for the better, and he contributes immensely to her growth, both as a person (cause she starts of very naive) and in her career. So yeah, the novel is very nuanced and very realistically written. With both of them flawed. It is not an idol drama where the hero is a perfect green flag that lives only for the heroine.

She’s definitely 18 going on 19 because she can drink alcohol. And he’s 2 or 3 years older than her. Because he dropped out of his senior year of highschool 2 years ago (in the novel they are both 18 going on 19. they are actually only 2 days apart in age)

Truly truly good.The novel is much better because it’s more detailed of course but you can see their emotional growth and relationship process better. Also; the FL is ten times more likable in the novel. The hero is one of the best written characters I’ve ever read. please read it!!

It’s more of a slow burn because they get together around the middle of the novel. Basically, after 6 months of her living with them and they are together for 4 months until she has to live for college. Their romance is fluffy, spicy and funny too. The banter they have is cute and hilarious. Especially after the reunion, I loved those chapters. The ending was too short for me too. I wanted more of them.

it’s not necessarily a mutual agreement. they never break up officially, but the hero kinda tells her to focus on her studies and not come see him again… (which devastates her) basically they are very much in love but she wants to study at the best universities and he can’t leave his family behind because they depend on him. So, as heartbreaking as it is, he tells her to stay away because he’s afraid she’ll give up her studies and opportunities for him.

They are super nasty. I’ll never trust MDL ratings again. Because there are too nany haters and trolls here unfortunately

It is a healthy relationship in the sense that there’s no love triangle, huge misunderstanding or miscommunication. But they do spend an year apart (in the novel) because the ML wants her to focus on her education and he’s trying to get at the same level as her academically. I don’t know how the screenwriters is gonna portray the separation in the drama though 🤷🏻‍♀️ . But I absolutely loved the novel, and 9 episodes in watching the drama, I think the novel is much much better. I do enjoy the drama though.

People that write comments that this is an incestous relationship, never read the novel or even watched the drama actually. It’s nothing like that. I’m so frustrated with these trolls!!

In the novel, the ML and FL never meet until she comes to live with them for less than a year (10 months or so). ML’s mom was adopted when she was younger by the Cl family as a companion for FL mom (because she had a sickly constitution). But she was sent away from the family when she got pregnant with ML (at around 19 years old). And she didn’t keep in touch with the FL family. The FL dad sends her there because some bad people are after him and none of their rich friends don’t wanna take her in because of her fathers scandal and involvement with the police. So, the ML family is kinda his last resort.

Actually that’s not the plot at all of this drama. They don’t drift apart. There’s a reason they are separated.

you should read the novem. she’s amazing. smart and funny and not annoying at all
