I think the reason why he put his waist ornament in the box is because he feels like he betrayed his brother already, by trusting her. He does this before running to the office and staying there a few days. Because he knows there’s no turning back. He’s fallen for her already.

I’m so glad I didn’t read the novel. I made that mistake with a Korean drama , When the phone rings and it ruined the adaptation for me. so I said, never again. Only if people are swearing the novel is ten times better. It’s good that you didn’t finish it at least.
I haven’t seen a FL so well written like this one in a while. She’s smart, cunning and kind too. She supports him but also tries to help her family too.
But what I love the most about her is that whenever he does something “mean” or wrongs her in any way, she tries to excuse his actions in front of others. She doesn’t throw a tantrum like other FL but tries to see beyond his actions and puts herself in his shoes. And that’s another level of badass. She wins best FL character in my book for this year.
