Color me confused, then. If you think Asian Dramas are perpetuated by a string of "stupid ugly women who don't think at all", then maybe you're in the wrong place?

I only marathon dramas. I made the mistake of starting Panda and Hedgehog halfway through airing, and it was miserable waiting! I refuse to do that again :p though, to be fair, that's how I do all things in life. Just last week my boyfriend and I watched both seasons of walking dead in a 24 hour period. And the month before that we watched 6 seasons of Dexter in 2 weeks. The only fault I find inherent in marathoning was mentioned, in that it really sucks to not be able to fangirl with the rest of the world as they watch it! I find that I miss being able to talk about last week's episode of whatever with the rest of the world.

The king's death was so sad for me, but I really loved how it made Jae Hee man up finally! I don't want to get spoilery for you, but I really do think it gets a lot better from that point! But I am so glad that you are liking it! I always get a little bit worried when recommending dramas, cause you can't tell what may irritate someone or what they might find cheesy, you know? But with Kign2Hearts it feels like a really safe recommendation cause it is just that good! Keep me updated on how you are liking it :) I hope everything is going OK with your real life stuff! It really sucks when real life drama gets in the way of our kdramas. At least for me, my real life drama doesn't involve smoking hot Korean boys and storylines bordering on the mildly ridiculous, so kdramas are always preferable :p

You know, I actually felt the same way! I watched it shortly after finishing City Hunter, and there were a few parallels I noticed. I am glad you are liking it so far :)

It is true that you can get used to anything if you have to deal with it long enough! The clothes in The Greatest Love are soooooo stupid! I just don't understand what the costume director was thinking when he started dressing these actors :p

QIHM is probably my favorite drama, but I am a sucker for a great love story. I am excited for you to watch King2Hearts! I was seriously impressed with it. Though, I will warn you, the bad guy is kind of ridiculous! I wish they had made him a little more bad ass :p but I am with you about the historical setting not being your thing! I feel awful for saying this, but I really think its the period clothing that makes it so hard for me to get into them! I had a really hard time getting into Goong with all of the ceremonial clothes they had to wear all of the time. I may be a little shallow there ;p That's a huge bummer about 1997! I was really on the fence about it, but it's good to know its probably not worth the effort! Nothing worse than investing 16+ hours of your life on something you don't end up loving!!

He was the reason I watched Personal Taste, too! I usually avoid dramas that are centered on a character lying, just cause I am too anxious about them getting found out! :p but I am glad I watched it, even if my heart did break for the director. As soon as I finish The Greatest Love, I think I will give Faith another shot! Another friend mentioned it had some fantasy in it, and I am a fantasy nut. If you find that you like the time travel, may I recommend Queen In Hyun's Man? It was so amazingly good! Though, it's the opposite of Faith, in that someone comes to the future and most of the stuff is in the present. The love story in QIHM is just so sweet :) Rooftop Prince is also good, funnier and less about the romance story line.

Awesome, I look forward to your opinion :) I see you're also almost finished with Faith? Is it your first historical drama? I am a huge fan of Lee Min Ho, but I've never watched a historical before. Well, besides the dramas that have historical parts, Rooftop Prince, Taming of the Heir, etc. I started the first two minutes of it, then decided to stick with more familiar ground. But I am still curious :p

I have been really curious about Reply 1997! I keep thinking I will start it next, but something else always ends up winning out :p Hopefully you like it!

Howdy! I saw your introduction on the forums and saw our watched lists were really similar and thought I would recommend to you King2Hearts! It's such a good drama, with such an addicting storyline :) Anywho, welcome to MDL, it's definitely a wonderful place to be!

At first, I was a little irritated that the comedy was so juvenile. But now I find myself laughing hysterically and the insane histrionics. My only complaint is, why does everyone dress so ridiculously!? I swear, if I didn't know better, I'd have guessed that this was a drama from the early 2000s, not 2011.

I am loving The Greatest Love! Dok Go Jin is hilarious :p though, some of the "comedy" is way over the top. I am glad I picked it back up though :)

I am really looking forward to Missing You, too! I think it's the upcoming drama I am most excited about! And yes, they are all books :) And like with my drama needs, I won't read anything unless it has a fantastic love story in it :p Though, I am more likely to read a book with no romance than watch a drama with no romance.

I do like Micky Yoochun too, so I am actually kind of excited about it :p he and his brother not have contagious smiles! My profile picture is my bedroom. My boyfriend jokes that eventually we will have to move out to make room for them :p that, or there will be an article in the paper, woman crushed to death by books!

I looked for The Princess' Man on the Viki mobile app and they don't have it up. Hulu has it up though, so hopefully after I finish TGL, my boyfriend will have beat Borderlands 2 so I can finally get some PS3 time in with Hulu! I was also considering Arang and Sungkyunkwan Scandal. I really liked the girl from City hunter and I have heard she is really good in it.

I am starting The Greatest Love. I didn't realize Yoo In Na was in it! I started the first episode of Faith and I am just really worried that historicals aren't for me. But I have high hopes for The Greatest Love. I am so glad the girl from Pasta got a better haircut.

Did The Greatest Love have a good ending, romantically? I started it, and then I saw it a few times on the most disappointing ending thread in the forums and it made me really nervous! I have never tried a historical before, but I think I am going to go ahead and start Faith! Lee Min Ho so I think there is a great chance i'll love it :p I'll look into The Princess' Man after that :)

It's intimidating, all of the great choices out there! I just finished Haeundae Lovers today and now I am stuck rewatching my favorite scenes of the other dramas I've watched til I can pick something :p I was really unsure about King2hearts, I really didn't like the way Jae Hee treated Hang Ah in the beginning. But their romance is in my top 5 :) I refuse to watch Dramas without romance as a big part of the storyline. Other than In Hyun, what has been your favorite romance?
