no that is not my main point ,my main point is that your feelings that he can't act is not FACT. and that's basically what everyone here has been trying to tell you .pls learn the difference btw facts and opinions because it is also an issue of intellect and general knowledge, not just a topic of discussion here ,that can affect lives if u dont know the difference and are put in a position of decision making .
i have used dictionary definitions,obvious examples etc but you still seem so adamant on your ignorant stance.
please answer this question, you say it is factual that he cannot act, where is your verifiable evidence or proof ?
why is my stance and that of so many others that he can act not valid but somehow yours is very valid and is a fact?

hahaha ,a singer that constantly sings out of tune can not be a singer . that very word singer implies an ability to sing better than the average person in the population.
singer: a person who sings, usually professionally .

a person can go to acting school for donkey yrs and not be a successful actor while another may have little or no formal training and can become hugely successful acting stars . actually most highly successful acting stars did not have tertiary /university academic training prior to gaining success. this is where subjectivity in acting and arts in general comes in .this is the difference btw arts and science.
what is considered great acting or fantastic arts in one culture can be totally snubbed in another. you would agree with me that rap music will be considered as bad noisy music by very elderly koreans while korean folk music will be a disaster in america.however in their respective cultures they are highly prized and appreciated. that is where subjectivity is fundamental in appreciation of arts .

similarly ,there are movies which are highly and critically acclaimed by experts but are box office disasters and some that are a huge commercial success but are denigrated by the so called experts . there are different styles /methods of acting and no globally recognized way of acting or a global formular .what is emphasized in acting schools or universities in one culture is different in another.
according to you popularity doesn't mean an actor is good , that statement lends credence to my argument about subjectivity not being fact ,because in the case of a popular actor who can be bad the evidence is not supported by his popularity so u can't claim it is a fact.

a fact is something that is consistent with OBJECTIVE reality or that can be proven with evidence .dear sarah, your subjective feeling that his acting was bad in this drama is not fact because other than your own personal subjective feelings you have no evidence .do u now understand the difference ?
going by your standards,then my opinion that he acted well is also a fact .
an opinion is an expression of personal judgment or belief ,an opinion is based on subjective statements and assumptions while a fact is based on objective reality and it can be verified with evidence and statistics . cha eunwoo has about 4 million instagram followers ,that is a fact and video clips of his drama has millions of likes ,that is also a fact.

your opinions are not FACTS and can never be FACTS. eunwoo has won several acting awards from his well rated drama, he was nominated and chosen by experts, therefore that completely invalidates your so called FACTS . you are perfectly free to hate him and his acting but i won't let you get away with falsities/misrepresentations to assuage your feelings nor denigrate the opinions of others that love him.
stating that "just watching him annoys you" already shows your bias ,it already tells us that your feelings of annoyance make u a horribly partial judge and your opinions can not be trusted .
true experts do not succumb to feelings of annoyance/emotions when evaluating issues. having said that ,your opinion is just one out of 7 billion persons on earth and the FACT that he is getting lead roles ,is well loved by millions of his fans ,has had well received and popular dramas continues to negate your opinions to the dustbin of human opinions.

i really have an issue with your review because basically you were looking for a very serious melodramatic saeguk and the drama was titled a romantic comedy. that already tells you the tone .i feel like u are complaining about a horror movie being frightful ,hello it's a horror movie it should be frightening. and so no no no i totally disagree with your characterization or better yet mischaracterization .
you talk about officer min acting like an angsty teenager ,hello ,the guy had lost a wife he loved so much due to his father's power grab, a situation that left him helpless because it's hard to kill ur own dad ,his sister had also being forced into a loveless marriage by dad and u dare call him angsty ,wow u sound rather insensitive. i wonder how joyful your own life would be if u lost your husband and father in-law after your father caused their deaths .sorry i'm getting personal .
to each his own ,but there should also be standards of fairness and reason when judging things .its okay not to like a drama for what it presents itself as, but it's rather unfair to place it into a different category and judge it based on what it was never designed to be or what u want it to be . comedy is a way of humanizing certain serious societal issues , a way of presenting the absurdity of some of our human values and connecting us in a lighthearted way.

i have watched it on netflix .its a great ending

what a beautiful ending ,it was so consistent with its comical,fluffy and beautiful aspects .everyone got their just desserts . i will really miss ghr and sir travelogue aka prince dowon .

this drama solidifies her as queen of historicals ,because she has been great at embodying ghr .i'm guessing historicals are her forte.

i think that is part of the intrigue and charm ,because we can not predict the end .so far every subplot has ended well ,i predict yirim and ghr will get back together but hold off marriage for now . cp can act as regent for yirim until he is ready or it's given to yirim's son ,that will be justice besides punishing the villains.

actually i just heard it's quite popular in china with millions of views on weibo . i'm glad people are appreciating their hard work despite the initial harsh judgments and the prevailing handsome idol bias. as i've said b4 i applaud his courage in taking on this work of art ,gaining more experience and the criticisms will make him work harder . for me shin se kyung has done really well in this role, this is her first drama that im completely immersed in and she is giving a good performance.

I think he was joking and exaggerating about his mom calling him ugly ,but he read out a text his mom sent him on a recent tv show, and in the text she was apologizing for being strict with him, because she didn't want him to get arrogant and spoilt . he said she always taught him that there were other talented folks out there ,so he had to work hard and he should always be thankful for what he has .
he has also explained that he never knew he was good looking until he joined his agency fantagio,( i was pretty aghast when he said that) he says he was chubby and darker in middle /junior high and didn't consider himself good looking and that when people focus on his looks he gets very embarrassed .
he does look uncomfortable in lots of videos where he is being praised for his looks and seems to be a very polite and humble person.

thats why i have really defended him .there are people who just dislike him for the fact that as an idol newbie he gets to headline kdramas on major tv networks in just 2-3 yrs post debut while there are actors that can hardly get decent roles despite so many yrs of auditioning ,also lots of idols don't get huge drama roles so early in their careers .but regardless, i feel that he is being targeted for his success and is receiving way too much criticism because of this bias .
it was upsetting when i saw people mocking his expression and acting on screen shots of rhghr even b4 the drama premiered .how can u judge someone's acting based on screen shots? he has also gotten so many product endorsements and modelling gigs and its bound to arouse some jealousy . i am pleased with his performance in this drama and his improvement despite having a very busy schedule even while filming. i also applaud his courage in taking on this project which is no doubt daunting for any newbie actor . i believe he will listen to the criticisms , continuously evolve and mature to become a fantastic actor.
