Then there is Youtube, some make an argument the show have many view on YT. YT is like buying powers, you can buy the same items all over again as long you have money. Lastly there is buzzing, buzzing is the talk of the town. If you notice this season many of famous Youtuber are no longer react to HS, so this season already losing on buzzing. Even the legendary singer Noh Sa Yeon recently open yt and her first reaction video is BLTS. BLTS created more buzz than any other dating show currently on air.
There is one dating show currently rating reach more than 3% but didn't appear in fundex. It air one Monday title Joseon Lover for TV Chosun.
The point is failing at ratings, and no buzzing equal total flops. I saw the cast ig followers, no suprise there I already predict that. Even BLTS cast ig follower might be lower than that, but the buzz is there. Before the final eps, blts cast already have 4 interviews, 1 photoshoot. Eyesmag, FastPaper, Daily Fashion News and Trip Going. Just like my prediction all the good stuff will go to BLTS. This is my humble opinion, not trying picking fight. For this season, the cast arc story the main highlight. Their backstory, the reason why most of them become single. Busy with working, been compared with siblings. low self-esteem, bully victim. Of course, like any other dating show there little bit drama.
The things is many ppl mention Gyuri rumors but the real question is why this season flop badly not just in rating but also sosial media. Before the rumors the show already struggle with the ratings, so Gyuri rumors doesn't contribute to decline of the show.

Just like transit love season 4, many well know youtube stopped do the reaction and the effect of it most of the cast from season 4 having a difficulty to become active as influencer to get brand deals. I want to used BLTS as example, the 1st of BLTS it created social media buzz until to this day they all cast still get brand deal and get invitation to an event, Jisu even able to open her own balled studio with the money she make from ads/photoshoot.

I did predicted the similar end result HS5 with HP, looking at their ig follower there is not much gap, after the show ends it really interesting which route the endgame couple go, Jimin and Jeyeon or Woojae and Jiwon. Jimin and Jeyeon not open declare their relationship status and keep playing lovegrams on ig just to increase their ig follower while Woojae and Jiwon open declare their relationship statust. I know some of the fans want their bias to success after the show but please don't go to BLTS tags on tiktok and mention WY or YG and says something silly like I hope the cast can meet WY or I can see this female cast and YG can become bestfriend it embarrassing. I just realize 1 thing, during season 1 Jaeyun in famous scene when he dived into the bush tried to avoid if I was not mistaken it was Jiyeon and Yeo myung. They doesn't know about Jaeyun hiding in the bush until they watch the episode. Now, if no girls pick Jae Seo diary/book then none of the girls know about Jae Seo pre-make over look. I make a typo mistake, it not season 3 it was season 4, there a post on reddit show the rating all the previous eps and none of those eps reach 1%. And I wrote about opportunity after the show was over. Season 3 was release on 2023 and spin off was 2025. clearly there was a year gap due to the blacklash after the show. Even it was renew, how many ppl will apply? BLTS have over 17k applicant, even one of cast from season 2 said she been offered to join Heart Signal but her mom told her go to BLTS. Even her mom also knew HS is decline.
The ratings for season 5 is way beyond abysmal, it didn't even reach 1%. Channel A is a cable television, if any show that get 1% rating for cable tv is good enough but for the current season the highest was 0.6%. And this will definitely will affect the cast, let me explain how? Season 3, the show begins with 0.5% and ended with 2.3%, the spin-off heart pairing, started with 0.7% and ends with 0.9% but somewhere in the middle it does get 1.1%. Season 4 cast the most ig follower is Jumi with nearly 500k, the least follower was 30k. The spin-off, the most follower with 200k and the least is 26k. With ratings below 1% you can imagine how many follower will they get.
