Sorry I misunderstood but again isn't it normal industry logic.when you mentioned "political thing" I thought something else.and the thing your talking about is quite normal.film industry everywhere do the same.and tbh as much I've heard in Korea she got criticism for her role in little women but for not having broaden expression or something.again house of hummingbird was celebrated in film festival, critically acclaimed.idk really but I've heard her performance was critically acclaimed.so,at the end I want to ask? What strategy are you talking about? not to be rude but it's normal,it's not shady nor it's degrading her career.yeah she might get typecasted but I don't think she was a bait.

Don't want to be rude but we all have different opinions & taste and that's okay cause movies/shows are subjective but saying her getting main role is political things is kind of weird cause as much as I know house of hummingbird and her performance were praised in different festivals too not just baeksang.the criticism began from little women.that all I know.i hope you don't mind

I wish I could paste screenshot in here cause idk the douban page still states the two actors name i.e Zhang wanyi and ma sichun,I remember when there was huge fuss about the casting for malicious express in the ml page of that drama whereas for it's douban page the actors meng ziyi and Dylan Wang were already listed

I don't think the rumour about may we live long and prosper with Zhang wanyi is true as on douban it shows that ma sichun the lead alongside wanyi
