The manga hasn't been finished so does that mean this drama is gonna have its own ending? I feel like this is one of those OVAs that serve to promote an ongoing manga, only difference is it's a live action.

Nothing tops Nine Time Travels for this writer. Mysteries of the Alhambra and W had the exact same problems, plot twists happened out of the blue and things often had no explanations. Nine was 10 levels above all her other works, which is why I'm disappointed in her recent works. Her concepts are still very groundbreaking tho cuz she thinks out of the box in her ideas and that's really rare in the kdrama field. I hope she can make something that's as good as Nine and as popular as W next time.

Just finished this and it was a MASTERPIECE. Some parts were actually a hot mess but the tragedy and the depth of the characters especially in the last quarter of the show established it as one of the best k-dramas I've watched. It is uncommon to see such intricacy and brutality of a plot in kdramaland, so this was a very refreshing experience. Will never forget this drama ever.

which version should I watch? And also I've heard that there are 2 endings
There's only one ending, though there are two versions. Both versions have parts that the other version doesn't, but the SBS version seems to have preserved more of the important scenes. You can watch the SBS version, then look up a compilation of the version differences afterwards.

There are generally three types of viewers for this drama. One, people who love this drama from start to finish.…
I can't believe it either. Maybe it's because of how hyped this drama is, I felt like I had to finish it to see what was good about it. I saw many people who did that as well despite finding it boring, and they all agreed that ep.12 was where it started getting good. But then, imho, if it takes THAT LONG for a drama to re-capture its audience, then it's rigged. If you don't have the patience to sit through 8 more episodes of conversational fillers and bromance, you may consider skipping to ep.12 and start watching from there, you won't really miss anything. (Except for one plot point which you might have to know to understand ep.12-16, I can tell you in spoilers if you decide to skip to ep.12).

Wow, I did not know people hated this drama so much!In my opinion, it was a really good romcom drama. It was funny,…
I think there is more negativity than usual because the drama is overrated. It's not that it's actually that bad, but since it actually made it into MDL's top 10, people have higher expectations so they were disappointed. I watched this long before it was this popular, and I loved it, but if I had watched it now, I would have felt it didn't live up to the hype too. I personally gave this a 9/10 in my standards, but I think an MDL score of 8.8 is too high. I think it's more like 8.5 or 8.6? But I'd still highly recommend people to watch it cuz a lot of the comments don't give justice to the fun of the story.

As one of the most popular dramas, is this a must-watch? I have been staring at it for years but not too keen…
I remember loving it a long time ago. Rewatched it 4 times. But now that I have grown older, thinking back it was pretty lackluster. It's just an ordinary romcom with all the cliches. The main selling point is the cute romance, but that's about it. Plus they didn't really do the romance that well either compared to other dramas I've watched in these years.

I’m on episode 3 and I just can’t get into it! I don’t know if it’s because the FL is in school or what!…
There are generally three types of viewers for this drama. One, people who love this drama from start to finish. Two, people who think this is boring and can't even finish it. Three, people who manage to finish it with effort and think the plot gets better after episode 12. I'm the third type, and I only like everything that happens after ep.12, but I don't know if it'll be the same for you.

It appears that romance is simply not your cup of tea. You can try watching k-dramas with no romance tag, like…
Glad that helped you!

I have interest in this drama.. but i just wanna know, is the appearance of the ghost scary? or somewhat disgusting..something…
The only scary ghost was the one with empty eye sockets at the beginning. That part scared me a bit but the comedy that filled the atmosphere made it better. All the other ghosts weren't scary at all.

I'm new to K-drama so excuse me if I come off as someone hating on K-drama but is it me or are most K-dramas just…
It appears that romance is simply not your cup of tea. You can try watching k-dramas with no romance tag, like the OCN ones that they recommended you. You can also go to this website's search filter and choose the genres that you like and sort by rating or popularity. By watching the ones with a higher rating (preferably above 8.5 on MDL) you should have a higher chance of enjoying them.

Or if you want me to personally recommend you some mystery or suspense dramas, which seems to be the genres you prefer, here are some good ones:
- Signal (fantasy crime thriller about a walkie talkie connecting three cops from the past and present as they solve cases together)
- Stranger (two people team up to solve a serial murder case involving corruption)
- Nine Time Travels (a news reporter finds 9 incense sticks that allow him to time travel back into the past to correct his life mistakes - but for better or for worse? This one has a bit of romance in it but it's beneficial to the plot development)
- Tunnel (a detective travels back into the past to solve a case that he failed to solve)
- Life On Mars (crime investigator falls into a coma and wakes up in a world where reality and imagination is blurred, he has to solve a case to go back home)
- The Guest (this is like The Exorcist, people get possessed by demons and kill others and themselves, it's up to a few young men to defeat the demon boss and save the world)
- Save Me (drama about a girl trapped in a shady religous cult and some young men who become entangled into the circumstances whilst trying to save her)
- Circle (takes place in a dystopian future where people have to regulate emotions and aliens walk the earth - this has a bit romance in it)

Look at the poster. There's an extra hand on yeo jin goo... mistake?
It was likely put there on purpose. Hotel Del Luna is a ghost hotel after all XD

Title Hotel del Luna Spoiler
I have a sudden thought... what if Chan Sung is one of the people Man Wol killed in the past, and in order for Man Wol to be free and become human again, she must repent for her past sins and get Chan Sung's forgiveness? Kinda like the grim reaper in Goblin, she killed too many people so she has to be punished by becoming immortal and serve the afterlife until her sentence is completed.

But then would that be kinda cliche, cuz it's pretty much the carbon copy of Goblin? I hope they can surprise me with some other plot twist that I can't think about haha

Title Hotel del Luna Spoiler
i have an odd feeling that chansung is the reincarnation of yeonwoo... it would be such a boring give away if…
I also have this thought. The more obvious guess is usually wrong, so Chan Sung probably isn't Chung Myung unless they're going for the super cliche. Chan Sung being Yeon Woo would be a more reasonable plot twist.

I have a love-hate relationship with plots that are woven together using short stories and cases. They can on one hand be touching or interesting, but can also bore the audience if the side character storylines are not engaging and may also loosen up the plot if not executed properly. All the dramas of Hong Sisters that I liked were those that had one singular plot revolving around the main characters, but not short story styled ones like Master's Sun. This drama seems to follow Master's Sun's storytelling structure... I hope it can stay interesting to me till the end.

By the moment the drama is boring me a little, I mean, the episodes are long for me. Am I the only one?
You're not the only one. I also think the first few episodes are lukewarm, and the characters weren't established properly. It also took 3 whole episodes just to get Chan Sung to start working at the hotel. Hopefully the plot gets better afterwards.
