Can't speculate the ending, but the novel had a HE with kids..... Even though he was poisoned, did he not get the cure from that flower growing on the mountain. The price brought that so he could be cured.

so true. What exactly is cold poison? And a flower which flowers once every 10 years is the remedy. What craziness.

I also think you are so right about the writers - just pathetic and literally obliterating their main character. And that too an empress. Usually females are smarter than men in real life and an idiot in this drama makes me wonder if it is a male who is the writer. Must have been vengeance against women

this is the craziest Female lead I have ever watched in a drama in the name of naivety. So crazy to leave her father and brother alone who have been on a murderous path . Just like the Preceptor found out about her birth being the emperor's daughter, CangCang will find out that she is not the Grand Tutor's child. That will be the good blow. What kind of a father poisons his own child ?

I finished this drama and had a question - Did every one die. Was the kid at the end NY and RR's kids. Did they not die in the battle? Did I miss something?

I did not mind about how it ended, intense enough for me, but I wanted to see them married and become emperor and empress.

It has changed quite a lot from the original book - it does not match at all. I actually like the drama version of this story than the novel. Much more interesting. The novel I read was pretty boring.

There is no death camp at all in the novel

I too think that the empress is alive and well and recuperating in that so called place which does not have an exit door according to the doctor.

There was no subject of pregnancy for the princess . The emperor tries to kiss her and that's it - nothing untoward happens in the novel as she remember XisJS. She does get conned by the emperor and eventually gets killed by him.

FS becomes king and has a son with Fu, and XJS also becomes king but his wife dies. That is the best outcome for XJS because there is another secret of XJS. I. don't think the drama is following that.

one does and one doesn't . FS becomes king and so does XJS. But the sister idiot dies in the novel.
