This is a drama - a chinese one at that. There was no death certificate or doctor for that matter. It was whatever the MIL concocted.

It was good. I loved it. Have seen it multiple times. The child of the ML and FL has acted very well.

She suspects because of the milk connection, and his liking to ballet. Also, she know he was born on the same day as when she was in labor. She brought Le a pizza at school as she wanted to return his piano book which he left in the dance studio when he met her . She collected his hair sample and I am sure she is getting it tested. The way she patted his head - she knows that he is her son. She also knows that the other lady is not his mother and that he tells her that his mother died during labor. She has put it all together.

you are right. But he is unaware that the FL does not know her child was alive. So, even though she felt a connection with the child, she was more envious than suspecting that his mother lied on both sides to keep the baby and kick the FL to the curb and pick a different gal for her son to marry.

You are right. I saw the ML mom in "Fireworks of my heart". The daughter there was adopted by her and she literally traumatized her and separated her from her high school boyfriend and killed some people in the midst.

Actually the FL told the piano teacher that her boyfriend and she were each others first love. Seeing that blank stare on her face, she said it was a joke. We all having seen tidbits of their past see that it is true and also there is such a huge misunderstanding between them right now.

yep. Pretty much how it is shown so far. MIL cannot replace the love of the mother would have had for her child. See how she defended him at the bookstore.

Can't speculate the ending, but the novel had a HE with kids..... Even though he was poisoned, did he not get the cure from that flower growing on the mountain. The price brought that so he could be cured.

I also think you are so right about the writers - just pathetic and literally obliterating their main character. And that too an empress. Usually females are smarter than men in real life and an idiot in this drama makes me wonder if it is a male who is the writer. Must have been vengeance against women
