I don't think it will happen in this drama. She will be there till the end and it will be a Kumbaya moment or death. I do want to see something different than the norm too.
My guess is that Le will rebel against his grandmother when he comes to know of all the harassment that his bio mother took, and he will break the granny's heart. Her alzheimer's will cause her brain to reveal things to Le that even FR and / or TS not know about it. The reveal might be about the girl who committed suicide or Le's maternal grandfather. It could be that the mom ordered a hit to look like a suicide to protect her brother. IT is their company anyway.

I am looking for her Alzheimer's to worsen quickly.

tugs on emotions and it is a way everyone will be connected. The seniors can dig it and the younger generation will hate it. So, it is a medium to keep the status quo of what has been followed in the country for centuries.
Are you aware that all these dramas have to go through the government and has to be approved to be released to the public. Anything controversial is going to be denied and these dramas have to fit into the mold that has been given by the Chinese government. There are multiple steps to this process. So, as long as it fits the mold they are ok to get approval. So, that is why you see the same Rinse and Repeat dramas.

honestly. What a trashy family. I am surprised that this trashiness has not rubbed off on FR. He seems decent, a wimp with him mother, but he needs some help to take care of Le. Also, most asian families tries to put their head in the sand and expect the problem to go away.

I enjoyed the revenge plot, but did not like that Wei yl had to marry the emperor. She could have been with the dowager and still could have done awesome things. She should have been married to Fu Y. That would have been a great match.

yep. He is 16 years older to her. He had 2 daughters and 2 sons while one of them died.

I do think that the drama is pretty realistic. Even when they were young, FR was pretty infatuated with TS. And even with the uncle fiasco, FR did stand up for TS. He really did not believe that TS would ditch him and LE and go away. So, he did go searching for TS when Le was 3 years old. His mother and father were the two culprits and the cat is out of the bag when he came to know that TS was told that her child died. The attraction between the two was still there. Both did not be with anyone else for twelve years. That itself says something. LE will come around even if he rebels now. And I think he should - just keep him away from the granny.

TS should have come clean with LE before he found about about TS dating FR. LE considered TS as a someone important to him and told her stuff that he did not even tell his grandma or his so called would be step mom. That was a big thing.

But the drama would not move on for another 10 episodes. FR needed to find out about his father's involvement in this crap. He was pretty disillusioned and disappointed with his father.
I am sure FR will start distancing himself from his father too.

what a waste of time. Nothing flowed smoothly and they exagerrated the bloody sister 's crap - THE mad dog more than the Emperor and Empress .The prince and the Empress BFF had more and better and loving scenes than the main couple. One of the worst dramas I have ever watched.

Even though Pei Yan is sweet and all, I consider her stupid. I think that she has fallen in love with Le and that is clouding her decision. She thinks since the child likes her - so will the father. Just because she was with them for the last 8-12 years, does not mean she was with him for that long. She was an unpaid maid and baby sitter. Nothing more. Haven't seen a single clip of the ML looking at her adorably.

I am ok with the leads forgiving their parents when they have not done anything wrong. But the ML mom has already done something criminal. It was not her child that she could take away from the FL and make her lose 12 years of that child's life. She wanted to separate her son and the FL because of the father. As long as she does not do any harm to the body or mind - legally, ethically or morally - then it is fine.

In one of the clips that was released today, we see that the FL father was video taping something about the ML uncle and the uncle while chasing, slipped and fell down the stairs and died. So, I cannot blame the father of the FL. But the mother of the ML is a criminal.

i hate it too. This one cuts back and forth without allowing the full back story and then move to another.

Actually it was the grandfather's greedy secretary who was the villan. Grandfather has his own ideas about what his son should do and did not like his son having different ideas. He was wonderful with his grandson. Till the end, the FL hated the grandfather only to find out it was his secretary who caused all the havoc while grandpa received all the shit.

was she not bleeding and go to the hospital? There was a clip of that. Because it was still the 31st week of her pregnancy - MIL got the baby out and claimed that the child had still birth and it would be better for her to focus on her career while she sent her son away knowing fully well he would follow where ever she went and then when the son comes back, she probably gave him a wrong address in a foreign country and make him finally give up on her.
