It is so incredibly hard to get rom-coms right! When it is done well, you notice it right away. This is why Lovely Runner is so loved! It is rare for it to be this good. The standard for rom-coms should be this.
Also, some negative nancys need to realize that you don't need action, loads of angst, drama, slice of life, tragedy, sadness, etc. for a drama to be considered 'worthy' of high ratings. We all have different tastes. You don't need to reprimand someone for liking something that speaks to them. No one's taste is 'superior' when loving a drama is such a subjective experience. So please get off your high horses. Yes, 9.1 rating is well-deserved. Personally, it is a 10/10 for me.
Why am I watching each episode over and over again? Lovely Runner is becoming a comfort thing at this point. Guess who is going to re-watch the entire thing when it ends? ME.
In other news, I don't want it to end while simultaneously dying for new episodes.
i think she will go back in time to make sure the serial killer guy is caught or dead*** so he doesn’t harm…
Yeah I was also thinking how this is the first time Im Sol knows that the serial killer is connected to all of this including what happens to Seon Jae in the future. We know she goes to the past again but this time knowing who the culprit is. Hopefully, this changes things. (I mean it better since I am expecting a happy ending).
I’ve given up on all the theories. I rarely speculate anymore. I just grin from ear to ear and "watch>rewind>watch>rewind again" at this point. I am in for the ride. Just savouring each and every single episode. Lovely Runner is restoring my faith in kdramas again (gosh i've been watching for over 15+ years now). I just want fluff okay, not drama. This is perfect fluff. Cotton candy-esque.
I watched episode 7 projected onto a TV so I wasn't paying attention to the time. When the episode ended, I couldn't believe it. It felt like 20 minutes!! Time actually flew, I was at the edge of my seat wanting them to meet the entire episode and then it just ended. SO UNFAIR lol
I have to go into work today. I wish I can work from home and watch Lovely Runner. The plan is to book a meeting room during lunch and not socialize with my coworkers just so I can watch episode 8!!! Wish me luck! AHH can't wait! Spoilers and all, I M DYING FOR IT.
I got one of my close friends to watch this. She loves it too. I am going over to her place after work on Monday just so we can order Korean fried chicken and watch Lovely Runner together. It's the small wins in life!✨
From the start to the finish, this was so great! The story was heartwarming and wholesome. Zhang Jing Yi carried the show. She was spectacular.
I watched every single episode without skipping which is a massive feat. I found myself waiting for midnight (est) everyday just to watch the new episode/s. If I happened to fall asleep, I'd watch it the first in the morning during my work commute. I was clearly invested.
I find myself staying up past midnight just to watch one episode or two (on days we are lucky!). I am still so engaged. This is so good! Episode 29 will drop soon and I am eagerly waiting?!! Definitely a rare occurrence.
Was episode 1 released today (April 8th) intentionally? 🌘
I was so shocked watching the first 2 minutes. I started believing in signs lol
I had a meeting a little while ago where I told my coworkers I am taking most of today off to watch the eclipse. I live very close to totality. I sent my close friends a "Happy Eclipse Day" snap about 10 mins ago.
Then I was like, 'yay this kdrama came out, let me watch couple mins while I drink some tea'. And lo and behold the first two mins is about an eclipse with a band named 'Eclipse"
Not me smiling and rewinding every 20-30 seconds 🥺

I just got home after watching it. It was really surreal 🥺 I hope you get to witness a total solar eclipse in your lifetime!
