Why do I feel the imminent urge to shower the drama with extra love whenever I read something negative? 😂 I feel like I’m defending a kid or something. I know opinions are subjective but I like to think I have good taste? Or enough experience watching kdramas to know what’s good? This is good. In fact, it’s really good. Within, the rom-com genre, this is gold ✨ (genre matter y'all).
Anyway, I hope new watchers read all the positive comments (along with the negative ones because that's part of life). But most importantly, notice how much love it really gets! It is so loved by so many here. Give it a chance because it is so worth it! 💛💙
My friend who only watches kdramas I recommend her (yes I feel special, the power!) asked what we are watching together after Lovely Runner. I legitimately have no idea. There is nothing that I'd go out of my way to recommend at the moment. I need something good to air after this. I just know nothing will hit the same for a long time... if ever.
I'm not going to lie... guilty of the same thing... luckily some days I wfh so I just block out my calendar 🤣
Lucky!! I work hybrid too but Tuesdays are my team day so I have to go in (tragic). On Mondays I try to stay home but lately I've been roped into attending these bi-weeklys in-person smh. An overshare but LR is literally making me block off my own calendar and book meetings that don't exist.
What’s the most outrageous thing you’ve done for Lovely Runner? I’ll go first.
I strategically book my desk on Mondays and Tuesdays at the corners of my office (away from prying eyes) so I can watch the LR episode in peace when it drops! I may have booked ‘private meetings’ and set my status to ‘busy’ while I was at it. I start work at 8:30am and I am ready for LR at 9:30am 😂 Just a corporate girlie pulling overtime all week but all is well because LR keeps me sane. I am going to fall apart in less than week so there is that too.
Why are we so quick to forget the time-travel element of the drama? Trust the process y’all. Time travel is so messy but episode 14 did a great job explaining everything. Essentially, it took her some time to realize she is the common denominator and cutting ties from day 1 was the only way to prevent their entanglement. I don’t see how it is repetitive. She made her decisions based on the information available to her at the time. I just want to give Sol a massive hug 🥺
ps — I am sure Seon Jae will recall everything and we will have our happy ending! *fingers crossed*
YES IM MOST EXCITED FOR THISSSSSSSS I LOVE THE ADULT ERA ROMANCE. i also came to the realisation that out of all…
HAHA SAME! Plus it is end-game!! Things are so up-in-the-air with high school / uni day romances. I always have a hard time believing something from high school works out at the end (in reality, it rarely does). So this is good. Ugh can't wait!
I for one can’t wait for Seon Jae to be down bad for Im Sol again. Isn’t this so exciting? The anticipation for the next episode is crazy. Give me the adult-era romance I’ve been dying for pls.
Re: the serial killer plotline complaints. There has to be some plot devices that keep the story moving. I rather have this than the ‘usual cliché romance plot devices’, i.e., some overblown love triangle, dramatic breakups, misunderstandings, second female lead rivalry, mother-in-law conflicts, difference in socioeconomic status problems, etc. At least the serial killer plotline adds some thriller element to the story. It is also done very well. I am clearly anxious watching it.
As much as I wish Lovely Runner was all rainbows and sunshine, it is also a 16-episode drama. Haven’t we watched enough kdramas to know this? I am ready to sentence this serial killer/stalker to life imprisonment. I am so excited about the next 4 episodes but I don't want it to end at the same time 🥺
also that cherry blossom scene was sooo cute. I didn't know what to do with myself. My mouth dropped and I had my hand over it. These two are so damn precious. I cannot with them 🥺💙💛

Lovely Runner deserves all the love.

These two make everything seem so believable.
