Just because they are a bl CP doesnāt mean they need to act in every series together. They are regular actors.
Iām plenty fun at parties, you donāt need to worry about that. And when ājokesā which are not even witty in the first place, are repeated ad nauseum, they serve as irritants to those who have a better sense of humor than jus t being obsessed with BL ships.

Eh, gmmtv has a lot of actors and produce more BLs than multiple smaller companies put together. When people badmouth them, itās just a case of punching upwards, whereas for smaller companies/shows the flaws are more easily accepted.
Thai bl in general lacks very good scripts and gmmtv is no exception, but because they produce more series it just gets highlighted more. As for the bad mouthing the actors, much of it is just stan wars. Plenty of non gmmtv actors are as bad as the worst gmmtv actors (cough Dunk cough).

Yep, agreed. I would love to have a BL with a very intricate, complex and meaty plot, but like you said, a simple story which is well executed will always be loved by audiences. Much better than a complicated plot which is boring or badly made.

Weird pacing means having entire episodes filled with constant repetitive scenes of the main couple where one lies to the other and/or makes soup, while acting/talking like robots.
The lead coupleās acting in my stubborn is leagues better than in this series, so yup, Iām more than ok with that series. Not sure why that comparison suddenly, but whatever helps you cope.

They spent massive chunks of the screentime on repetitive scenes of the first couple, who basically have no plot except for one person lying to another.

What I like is that the dialogue, the banter, the interactions, all feel very natural and enjoyable. Thereās no awkwardness in the flow. The plot itself is simple, but the characterisation is very strong and the direction/acting is top tier. You can actually see why these characters would fall for each other.

I donāt think itās genocide though. He conquered the kingdom while explicitly ordering no pillaging and no killing more than necessary. Sure, war isnāt great but the people were dying anyway from the drought and he ended up helping them after the south kingdom was annexed into the north.

If Ziang had continued to hold Shu He captive, his final choice wouldāve been more justifiable. But they were planning to leave the royal life.
I guess his final choice was driven by the fact that Ziang was dying anyway. So instead of continuing his life without the people he loved, he decided to end it, thereby also balancing the scales with Ziang. In his view, Ziang wronged him, so Shu He took his revenge with his final act, and in the afterlife they can begin again with a clean slate.
IMO though, Ziangās actions and choices were pretty understandable most of the time. Whether Shu He was worth it, is another question lol

Agreed, Shu He didnāt want to be the emperor and wasnāt good at ruling, the people were about to rebel against him. Also his brother was about to kill him on the bridge. So to act that Ziang committed an unforgivable sin by killing his brother and annexing his kingdom, is being disingenuous. He never seemed so focused on family honour while he was a prince, but I guess for the sake of the narrative, his character underwent a change.
