BL second seasons are a very dangerous proposition. They almost never happen.

I’m hoping somehow the episode number is false and they are planning to 16 episodes to wrap everything up.

I love this show, it’s great, but is it confirmed that it’s only ten episodes? How will the romance be shown in a satisfying way if there’s only three more episodes left? Like this episode was spent fully on plot, Jay and Sun had like 5 mins of screentime. I don’t mind that, the plot is interesting. But they should have other episodes left where they will develop the love story. Otherwise it will be unsatisfying, because Jay and Sun have less screentime together than Sun and Pakorn&Sky. The few scenes here and there are not enough!

I truly like the OST of this show so much. The different renditions of it that they do are all so apt and enhances the scenes.

Given it’s not available legally, just watch Cherry Magic in grey sites. It’s amazing, one of the sweetest romances in the BL sphere.

One thing that really makes this show stands out is that you can tell it was made by a gay man. The dialogues, the characterisation, the scenes, etc. are conveyed through a distinctly gay male gaze. Unlike some bls which feel like they just replaced the female lead with a man, without it really changing much about how men are socialised differently from women.

This has been discussed here and on other forums a few times. The rescuer job is not well respected in Thailand, that’s the culture there.

Yeah, those scenes really stand out because they are just so comfortable with each other. I honestly cannot recall seeing any other BL couples, even those with great chemistry, having this level of natural comfort and domesticity with each other.

These two are experienced actors and it really shows in their work.

No, because that’s the taste of Thai audiences and this show, like almost all Thai BLs, is primarily made for them

Yes exactly, Aof’s shows are emotional but the emotions are mostly sedate and hardly ever overwhelming. I am moved but never devastated by his shows. My fault for wanting more lol. Episode three gave me buzz, but the rest not so much.

Eta: actually now that I think about it, his older shows like DBK and 1000 stars had more intense emotional moments. But after that, he kinda switched gears a bit.

Lu Feng was good, Yichen’s acting was bad at a technical level. All he did was stare blankly, when he was supposed to be sad, and smile when he is supposed to be happy. He was very weak.

This is an entertaining show, the cast is great. Taeseon is a mess lmao, he is all over the place with his feelings for Chaeha. I wish the episodes were longer, like proper kdrama style.

A suspected murderer became the head prosecutor? I am glad the show has a plot but too many coincidences piling up.

The real reason is that the narrative requires it. If Lion is not in the party, if he doesn’t propose publicly and Toto doesn’t witness it and leave, the climactic scene of Kanit deciding to choose Toto and going after him, does not happen. This is a requirement of the story, even if it’s a bit OOC for Pailin.

Yeah, the other CBLsyiu mentioned were good, double helix had an objectively bad script and bad acting.

Yep, this is a purely astroturfed “ship” or “duo” or whatever you want to call it. Dew has a following, he wanted to do an anime like show, he’s friends with Tee. SkyNani paved the way for “bromance duos”, so they industry planted this. If you remember Tee’s live when he said that he was not sure if he would have a show this year, it shows that the company was having doubts. But clearly Dew has enough clout to pull through with it.

Tee has not even done a memorable supporting role. Has very little screen presence. Putting him as a lead, especially alongside other charismatic actors like Neo, Dew, Off, etc makes it even more obvious how weak he is.

What chemistry? They have never acted together before. Tee has only done some minor supporting roles.

DewTee have never even acted together before, literally the first episode of this show and no one knows how good this is gonna be. Putting them in the same tier as SN is way too presumptuous.
