I have never understood why they don't just let those two loose. They were always forced into such fake and cliche…
?? CM was the most viewed series in Viu that year. And it got over a million tweets in the last few episodes. That was a couple of years back, when it was quite difficult to get that number.
This is the most entertaining BL airing right now, without a doubt. Each scene is humming with energy and chemistry. And then the quiet moments hit so well. The scenes when Toto is genuinely wooing Kanit, and Kanit gets shy 😍 Also, Kanit is definitely more sad about Toto lying to him than about Lion cheating. He is not eager about having sex with Lion, he is not fully heartbroken about Lion cheating on him, Kanit definitely is more interested in Lion as a status symbol than as a boyfriend.
TayNew chemistry is superb and this series reinforces why they are two of the best actors in Thai BL. They can do such a wide variety of characters convincingly, when some of the so called “good BL actors” only do the same character over and over again, but are called good by their fans only because they cry in every role.
When has this subject matter been done before? Genuinely asking
The closest comparison, with themes of religion is of course Your Name Engraved Herein. Boy Erased and Latter Days are western movies depicting religion and struggling with sexuality. Latter Days is a gay romance.
There’s also other media which centres on Catholicism and forbidden romance like Father Amaro with Gael Garcia Bernal, then Fleabag.
This is just off the top of my head, but Catholicism/christianity vs forbidden attraction is a pretty popular theme to explore in media, given the tension and conflict.
This series is doing super well on Thai TV and in Japan. The trending ain’t bad either, over 25 countries I think. Not too shabby for a decade old couple lmao
Done a lot previously lmao where if it's not intresting to watch may be it's not for you
Crashing out in the comment section over the mildest of critiques. Are you not embarrassed at the way you behave and choose to be in life? People irl will not be blind stans like you, you can’t control how other people behave.
Ticket to Heaven is incredibly well-acted and directed.Fourth's acting alone is really deep and thought-provoking.…
I disagree. I think MOR had the same issue as TTH now, the scenes and the writing are not very captivating, it’s all strangely one note and inert. But, the ending of episode two gives me hope, maybe the following episodes will be more engaging to watch.
This is giving me Memoir of Rati vibes. That is great acting/chemistry, good direction/production, but somehow not very interesting to watch? This kind of subject matter has been done a lot previously and in a more intense way.
However, the last 10 minutes of episode two was great, I hope the rest of the series is like that and not too inert. The preview looks good.
Fourth has really great screen presence. Gemini is good too. I hope Bright has juicy scenes.
As usual, people in this comment section are ascribing morals to fictional characters and forming judgments and opinions accordingly. Fictional characters are just that, fictional! They are not real and their morals don’t matter, not really. That’s why a villain can be a despicable character yet fun to watch or read about. Similarly, a “good” character can be dull as ditchwater or annoying to watch/read, not because they are bad morally, but because that’s how they are portrayed.
Lu Feng is a terrible character in terms of morals, but the younger Yichen is a terrible character in terms of entertainment. It has nothing to do with their actions, it’s to do with their characterisation and how they drive the plot. The second couple is annoying and useless to me.
Anyway, this show overall is a disappointment. I love a good toxic romance, but this series is weak 🫤
i understand Kanit's bf is cheating on him, but we start ep2 and Kanit isnt sure of the cheating but he already…
The eating food thing was bachelorette party shenanigans though lol, a lot of things go on in those parties. Is that fine and dandy? Maybe not to everyone (wouldnt be fine with me either lmao) but mileages vary and it’s not intentional cheating.
So many good Thai bls airing right now! This and A Dog and a Plane are my favourites. When Oranges Fall is great too! Havent started Ticket to Heaven yet.
I like a good toxic romance( in fiction) as much as the next person, but this show is just not very well made 🫤
Yichen is cute to look at but the actor is bad at acting, he just stares as if he is half asleep most of the time. Lu Feng loses his aura when he shouts like a lunatic. Zhou Lan is another irritating character like the brother …
There’s some entertainment quotient in this series, it’s not all bad, but it could’ve been so much better. The older show is so cringe but it actually did several things right.
The drama is incredibly successful lmao
