this show was a cute watch! wasn’t expecting myself to be watching cxx again not too long after love between lines but here I am! this felt light hearted and funnier too + the cast had great chemistry. not too sure if I really understood the ending, but it was a nice experience overall, happy to see Wang Han Wen from be with you + Kido Ma from love between lines :)

so GHM 2025 already knew LHE in episode 1? in the last episode, was he already in the present, waiting for a sign…
but you see, the final scene was someone typing in word doc, so it felt like they were all characters in a novel? (the 2025 characters, so what if Lin Huan Er thought she was from reality but she was just a fictional character as well) and the production team didn’t want to ruin our experience by telling us it was a dream/ it was all fake, so they didn’t intentionally film an author typing out the story (like in the story of kunning palace)?? just wild guesses here

i think it’s tough, the viewership ratings for this drama wasn’t considered good (peak was at 4333 ), actors…
you’re welcome, watching dramas should never feel like a burden :) I just happen to be a Chinese speaker, so gaining access to all this information is way easier than most international audiences because I have Chinese social media + IQIYI chinese version. spending time on watching more dramas instead is wise :), anyway if it makes you feel better, this show’s ratings have been increasing on Douban (despite the show ending in December), so it shows that this show is still getting a lot of audiences, and many are really enjoying it. also, the production team & partial of the cast are still promoting this show on social media, doing livestreams + doing giveaways + posting content, (long after the show has ended), so it really shows us their attitude towards the show! they’re genuinely very dedicated and want to do a sequel as much as us

what you’ve said is true, there are plenty of people not ready for all the plot twists in this show, I guess some people just enjoy watching dramas that allows them to relax and not to think.. this director and his team are known for making “Before they get to that one episode that makes EVERYTHING click and blow your mind and go "OOOOHHHH NOW it all makes sense” dramas though! so perhaps you’d like to find out more, their dramas are highly rated on Douban (Chinese rotten tomatoes) but with low budget just like this. (I haven’t watched any of those but I heard about the plot twists?)

i enjoyed season 1 a fair bit, so I was really excited when I knew they were doing a season2. but this season just got disappointing towards the end. i still love the characters, but the plot was just lacking. and I genuinely wasn’t interested in all those villain scenes, too much of his scenes. like what some others mentioned, his acting just wasn’t convincing enough for his character, to the point I wanted to drop this show because of him. and seriously the last episode ?? hello?? like suddenly boom, after the Nobel prize worthy speech, he decides to do this?? this show should have ended after the first season…

this was a funny watch! didn’t expect myself to be binge watching 6 eps at once but I enjoyed it a lot. this…
i just worry that this show adds in the typical element of: this is actually a dream/ female lead is writing a book and the experiences were filmed from her character’s POV (eventually revealed at the end of the story..) just so they can explain all the transmigration in the show… hope it doesn’t disappoint lol, it’s time we get a different ending to shows with this plot (story of kunning palace, summit of our youth are examples of shows that had to change the plot just to make it work on TV)

this was a funny watch! didn’t expect myself to be binge watching 6 eps at once but I enjoyed it a lot. this feels like the modern version of love game in eastern fantasy, with the male lead less hard to conquer and the female lead more entertaining. the romance is building up fast, I was surprised by the progress by ep 6, but I guess it’s because this show only has 24 eps. if things continue to go well (lighthearted plot), I can see this being another comfort drama of mine! I really liked the usage of illustrations in this show, the scene where fl was communicating with colleague using hand signs while their boss was in between was peak comedy… can’t wait for more eps

Title Be with You
Any romance?
not exactly, no kissing scenes at all, but love interests are everywhere … apparently that’s what this director is known for, having many different CPs but they won’t make it obvious who the official & recognised couple is ….. so it’s up to you who you’d like to ship, I’ve shipped a couple of people in this show

was searching for behind the scenes of this show and found this… didn’t know feng bu hai’s actor really ate the bug + was submerged in the mud, no wonder it seemed so realistic, I genuinely thought it was CGI, but kudos to him, it’s impressive how dedicated he is as an actor

this drama was an unexpectedly good watch, the plot didn’t really interest me at the start, but it just kept being better. you see the main leads going through all sorts of struggles, from doubting and not trusting each other, to eventually being there for one another. the found family trope was executed really well too, and the plot was intriguing especially in the second half. it was so complex and surprising, each time I thought I could predict what’s gonna happen, the scriptwriters prove me wrong.

this show was a mixture of mystery, Wuxia and fantasy, a real refreshing story told well. it felt like the Chinese equivalent of stranger things but with more concepts mixed together. it also had many plot twists that kept making me go “huh??? how?? what??”

it is a hidden gem for sure

I really want to know if there will be a second part, they left it really open at the ending? epilogue
i think it’s tough, the viewership ratings for this drama wasn’t considered good (peak was at 4333 ), actors aren’t super well known, and it’s a niche genre… i also recall reading about the team’s struggles in getting investment to film this show …. we can only pray because it’s a story with lots of potential

agreed. it's nice to have a drama end in a way that isn't pushing the expectant societal ending.though the short…
definitely! considering this isn’t the typical kind of ending in modern c dramas, it was pretty unexpected, which made it even more pleasant to watch.

that scene was incredible, i had to rewatch to observe their expressions closely, it was nicely written and executed! i honestly thought they were gonna arrange some kind of proposal scene after that, but glad that didn’t happen, cuz this ending will stick longer

did the best friend and Gong get together in the end? or open ending on that potential couple?
i interpreted it as an open ending, you do not see them confessing/ kissing each other. she has given subtle hints that she is into him too, but he is oblivious as ever… their story is to be completed!

the last episode was so nice to watch, finally no more dramatic scenes and misunderstandings, just a nice peaceful ending! what a way to tie back to the beginning of it all.

the ending Easter egg scene was adorable! it’s an ending I have yet to see in other modern c-dramas, happy this does not have the typical marriage/baby ending, what a way to end the story, it’s been a lovely experience. every ending is a new beginning 💗

i think I have only seen clips of chen here and there, so my impression of him is reserved and “steady”/ trustworthy. have yet to see the other sides to him so far but he’s been a gentleman in the bts clips I have seen, which is pretty sweet

off screen lu and dai are quirky and funny, while chen is more serious (?) but lu and dai are really on the same wavelength :) their promotional videos have been so funny to watch. it’s also funny to watch chen and dai in bts videos though, they look like they share a great relationship

when he said "if you cant fix it just replace it" on today's episode i knew exactly where this was going…
the scriptwriter definitely did this intentionally, it genuinely felt like a pun and some foreshadowing! something has to happen after all this coffee buying from gong …. anyway if you’re into spoilers about the 2 of them, check out the clip and you’ll probably get your answer
