I do think on the consort Qin's side we just need to more time. I feel like she will be a pretty complex/interesting character we just need to find out more if that makes sense. I believe as fl has plans to get the edict of her, we'll soon find out more about her as fl starts those plans, at least I hope we do. I feel like this is the type of story where we find out more about the characters as we go on, like I think we'll find out a lot more about marquis, more about empress dowager and more about consort, as they slowly become the focus of the ml and fl.

Yeh no I agree as well, I'm pretty sure master Zhu is dead/not real, it's her own skills. Like when she fainted from the snakes we saw a bamboo stick that was used to kill the snake next to her and like her senior brother said master Zhu would use a sword not a stick. Also from previews we'll see more of her sword skills in ep 20 which she then says were master Zhu's doing so I agree for sure

To be fair I did think so as well but seems like she still had some hope, I feel like she seems noble and arrogant but she's still young and first love and all that can be pretty strong but I hope at least from now with everything thats happened in ep 19 she's woken up, especially when we see his eventual return I hope she doesn't fall into the same pattern again

Oh very true, I do remember her being shocked, I forgot about her mentioning calculating events though, maybe he was a part of her plan to get the edict from consort dowager or something else, so she needs him involved for some reason, we'll see. Thats why I do love the drama so far, like we don't get all the answers at once but so far, we always do end up getting the answer.

Btw this could mean absolutely nothing and is probably just some fun talk between co-stars, but I found this on x, the actress for Ye Ying replied to bai lu both acting as their characters, Ye Ying said she won't be tricked by 2ml again, she only pretended to be mesmerized and it was only part of her plan.

To be fair I think most people don't care to look for prince li. For marquis muyang, prince li's apparent death is a perfect excuse to push off the murder of that yuan guy ml is investigating. So he doesn't care if he's alive or not, thats why he didn't bother to investigate he pretty much just said he was dead and started arrested people related to prince li. What matters to him is not if he's dead or not, but just to frame prince li as yuan's murder, I say frame but prince li did in fact murder the guy, but marquis doesn't know that he just wants to be rid of suspicion that was on him. Really only ml and fl care whether he's dead or not, prince li doesn't really have anyone else that cares to investigate if he's dead or not, makes no difference to most people, in fact his death helps most people so they are more then willing to say he died and move on.

And fl didn't take the assassin, the assassin kept following her so she really had no option, since he's following may as well use him, besides that we know she likes to mostly act alone, she doesn't trust many people so she planned on going alone. As for why she's investigating prince li that is a good question, I think we'll find out more next ep of why she is doing what she's doing so we'll see. Fl seems to always have a reason for everything she does so far. But I do agree even though she likes to work alone, would have made more sense to take her martial arts brother and work together.

I mean its kind of like same crazy saesang fans I believed they're called, you see in c-entz and k-entz especially, you know those stalker type fans. She's not on the level of being a stalker but as a metaphor you know, even though they are the not the vast majority, these few stalker fans don't even know the celebrity personally but are crazily devoted for them, similar type of thing I would think.

I think she will tell him but I think she's waiting until she finds the edict, that way she can kind of tell him while offering a solution. In my mind fl is that type of person, she wants to solve things herself, so she'll tell him but only after she can exonerate his brothers name and kind of make up for it if that makes sense, at least thats what I'm guessing but we'll have to wait and see

The theory is everyone is dead, but because of the trauma he suffered living alone on the mountain while everyone she cared about died up there, she still believes everyone is alive like it never happened in her mind, kind of like her hallucination about her maid and master Zhu.

It was only today I realized that we finally got a nice second side couple. Normally in historical cdramas we get a good/nice side couple we can root for as well quite early on, but I was so into the mystery and ml and fl relationship and the storyline was so good that I didn't even register we had no nice side couples that we can also root for/enjoy, until today. I hope Qin cang and the doctor lady have a good end but why do I get the feeling Qin cang is gonna have a tragic end.

Honestly though, the storyline and plot so far is so engaging and the ml and fl relationship is so good that the fact we had no other nice side couples was unnoticeable for me until today, just goes to show how good the drama has been so far at keeping viewers attention.

Yeh her uncle is very hard to read for sure, I hope he stays good though as he's like her only related family member that actually treats her well but for sure he's suspicious, definitely hard to get a read on

Yeh even though he shouldn't be going down this path, his backstory does make me sympathetic as well. Feels like he wasn't a bad person but became one because of everything he went through.

I'm so intrigued by consort dowager I can't lie, I thought she was evil but today finding out empress dowager was behind the eastern palace fire years ago, she seemed genuinely shocked and looked a little hurt. In the mean time I feel like slowly but surely empress dowager is showing her true colors a bit, trying to be the benevolent ruler but behind she's truly ruthless and power hungry. The flashback scene I feel gave us a proper glimpse of her true self.
