Yeh he's in trailers and in the novel. It's the cen ye guy thats listed, they work together, in the novel he dated fl briefly but she was always hung up on ml, so it ended nicely between them. In the trailer I saw him say to ml, you better treat fl well or like stop treating her badly something like that, so I think for the drama they'll change it so he just has a crush on fl but they didn't date like the change they made for ml and 2fl, but thats just a guess. I just hope he's not too annoying thats all.

In the novel, what ends up happening is ml becomes an informant/undercover working with the cop guy to take down gangster boss, so ml does have good influence from the cop luckily.

The girl her name is tu li, she's the 2fl, in the novel she dates ml for a bit during the time after ml pushes fl to leave, but ml never really liked her. In the drama I believe they changed this so ml uses her as a fake girlfriend so other women don't bother him, so they don't actually date in the drama but she likes ml but ml doesn't like her back, so yeh she's the 2fl. Its also in ep 1 when fl returns and she clears out the clothes and perfume and stuff in her old room, I believe thats tu li's stuff she clears out, its not made clear but I don't see fl as the type of girl to have all that perfume and clothes since they would have been living frugally before the time skip, don't think she would own all that stuff in the past. Anyway we'll find out for sure after the time skip.

I'm not sure, I feel like it will completely time skip but we still might get occasional flashbacks on how ml and fl lived during their time apart, but will mostly be in the present now, but just a guess really.

Yeh I can spoil a bit from the novel if you want of how it progresses roughly but you might not want spoilers, yeh I think in this stage fl is more like unsure of her feelings, same with ml, not sure if its like romance of family, but it becomes more clear when they get older. And yeh that guy is bad news for sure. It's like on one side is the cop that is trying to help ml, then the other side is the gangster boss trying to corrupt him.

Oh yeh he's so committed when lets me honest he honest owe her anything, and she doesn't owe him anything, yet they are so committed to each other already.

Yeh to be honest I do the same as you, whenever I rewatch lighter and princess I completely skip the break up, like fl's meltdown infront of her parents after ml was in jail is brutal as well.

Yeh unfortunately ep 11 is the first day of one ep days. Gonna be tough one ep days with all that angst.

I think likely we will get that scene of ml telling fl to leave and never come back and her leaving on the bus, then maybe like a quick time skip with highlights of her attending uni/getting a job and stuff like that, before we come back to the present quickly.

Hahaha I get you the break up in this, or even not break up but just ml rejecting fl and pushing her away is gonna be brutal for sure.

No real angst yet for ep 6, both ep 5 and 6 were pretty sweet, previews for ep 7 and 8 look fine, just fl jealous which is cute. I think based on air schedule emoji's on the calendar, angst will start in ep 11 with the heartbreak emoji, so if you want to wait and binge through the angst I would suggest stopping at ep 10, also since ep 11 onwards is one ep a day aswell. I think mostly smooth sailing until ep 10/11 based off the emoji's on the schedule.

The preview for ep 7 is so cute, fl's jealous era is starting

I do think it was tu li's stuff, fl doesn't trike me as having all that make up and clothes and stuff, since they like without much money before she left, also when ml enters the house you hear him say, tu li I told you not to go into the kitchen. Tu li is the 2fl, who pretends to be ml's girlfriend so other women don't bother him. I have no issues with it though, I kind of like it, fl asserting dominance over ml compared to any other girl, it's similar to how she acted in the novel.

Yeh true, todays ep and seeing them together is building the foundation for their romance, otherwise would not make sense why fl fell for ml and is so dedicated to him if they didn't give us scenes like today. Seeing them together today helps us understand seeing how much care he gave her.

I think based on emojis on the air schedule heartbreak in ep 11 could be when ml pushes her away, tells her never to come back and that is how the past ends, so could be ep 11 we return to the present. But thats just a guess based on the emoji.

I appreciate the sweetness we got in today's eps. Personally, I'm not a fan of a lot of angst, unlike many here I think, I don't mind angst but I like it when theres angst with sweetness and warmth, not just angst alone, I like when they contrast the two. So while I know a lot of angst is coming up, I really enjoyed today's 2 eps of mostly just sweetness and warmth. Yeh they're not rich, yeh their life is pretty tough, but seeing them just enjoying each others company and supporting each other, laughing together like each others little ray of sunshine was really nice.

I hope going forward when the angst turns up, a least now and then we get moments like that between them. Not saying angst is bad of course, but I feel like when it's too overdone or just angst alone makes dramas one dimensional. So I really like today's 2 eps. Honestly, not much happened story wise except for the end of ep 6, but I was perfectly ok with that, I enjoyed just seeing their day to day life, it was a really nice change of pace.

Honestly, I don't care about anything else, I'm here for Namkoong min and Namkoong min only. Was just rewatching the veil and one dollar lawyer. One of the truly few kdrama actors I think never disappoints.

This is a guess based on the emoji's in the air schedule, but very earliest ep 11, could be the heart break emoji, where ml pushes fl away telling her to never come back, and thats the end of the past, but I think it may be too early, so if not ep 11, then probably a few eps after ep 13 at the earliest.

I just wanna say cause I saw it getting a bit heated below, and honestly so many comments about it, the ratings will go up, everyone relax. Most people here aren't new to mdl so everyone should know how it works, pretty much like every popular cdrama that comes out gets tanked by ratings on the first few days, then it goes back up.

As long as it maintains the quality of the first 4 eps, ratings will go back up no problem, probably by tomorrow it will be up again. Won't be surprised if when I wake up rating is like 8.2 again and it'll only go up as long as it stays as good as it's been in the first few eps. So everyone relax, it's day 1 no need for panic.

But I also do want to say let's not attack each other or make this comment section toxic, let stick to talking about the drama. And its ok for criticism or people to point out negatives a long as its not hate. Open discussion its what mdl is for, so if someone genuinely has criticism or something they dislike its ok to mention and discuss, thats what makes mdl great, just no hate and lets just relax and enjoy the drama. The ratings will go up.
