is mark officially an alcoholic because he be blacking out too much for my liking ? and why did he seem disappointed…
We had the same happen to Vee in episode 4, when Mark was the one to bring him drunk and passed out home and take care of him. Both have a drinking problem IMO and this is why the series is rated 18+. Drinking seems to be a general problem in BLs, the characters drink a lot. Or maybe this is my very subjective impression as an almost non-drinker, but I don't like it either, especially considering how young these characters are.

A whole episode from Mark's POV... I'm in heaven. Again, I adored the new episode and couldn't put it down, it was thrilling and exciting from the beginning to the end. Episode 8 hurt a lot and I felt all of it, they were so good. Great actors, please more!

Mark's father sucks so much. No wonder Mark comes across as needy sometimes, with him practically having just one caring parent.

This continues to be my favourite BL series for this year, and now I'm convinced more than ever it's mainly because of the flawless acting, the chemistry between the mains and me loving both of them for different reasons and in a different way, because they are portrayed like real people with their good and bad traits.

Two things I wanted and got: it was Vee who explained to Mark what had happened with Ploy, and they sort of reconciled at the end of this episode and the issue won't be dragged to the very last episode. Hurra!

Title The Eclipse
This is my most anticipated GMMTV series for this year together with Never Let Me Go, so I'm absolutely excited it's finally coming! I love the new trailer as much as I loved the teaser. After all, I'm watching BL primerly for the romance. *shrugs*

Next episode is going to be angsty. I hope something leads Mark to a place where he's at least ready to listen…
Yeah, I saw the preview and really hope Mark won't go too far with his ex just to spite Vee, it would be very contraproductive. But I have faith in him and think he'll calm down at some point, but it will take time indeed, he's really hurt and we know he tends to lash out when he sees no other way to deal with the pain.

I finally got to watch episode 7 and I think it's my favourite together with episodes 2 and 3. It was engaging from the beginning to the end, and the acting was flawless.

Although Vee didn't do anything wrong except not pushing Ploy away more resolutely, I absolutely sympathise with Mark and can understand his reaction. The best moments of the episode apart from the honeymoon scenes were the scenes with Mark being absolutely over the moon with happiness while waiting for Vee and preparing for their life together (the clothes, the toothbrush, the photos, the mugs OMG) and the scene with Mark and Nuea crying together. I got goosebumps when watching these moments, they were played so well. I can't blame Mark for the way he reacted, but I can't help but feel sorry for Vee, too. His character has grown on me a lot in the recent episodes, because he's actually really caring and compassionate, i.e. generally a good person, but his inferiority complex, his impulsiveness and his inclination to try to satisfy everyone in combination with his good traits lead him to not to be able to put clear boundaries when needed, because he doesn't want to hurt anyone, which of course results into a bigger disaster. I absolutely loved the ending of the episode, go Vee!

I really hope they won't drag the reconciliation until the very last episode, because even though he deserves some of it, I don't want to see Vee suffer too much. And he probably will, given how possessive he was of Mark and how Mark seems determined to move on. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a reconciliation at the end of episode 8 or the beginning of episode 9, because I want to see them grow together as a couple before the series ends.

Quick question.what's the relationship/disperity btwn this series and En of love? coz I watched 2 episodes of…
I haven't watched En of Love, but from what I've heard from people who have seen it, it's a longer and better developed remake of the same story.

At first, i was hesitant to watch this series, probably for the reason that it might have same plot as the other…
IA absolutely! I realise the plot is not the best and we've seen all of it before, but this is still by far my favourite BL series from this year. I think it's the way it's done (writing, cinematography) in combination with the amazing acting and the crazy chemistry between the mains. Also, both Mark and Vee are written like real people with their positive and negative traits which makes me relate to both of them, although in a different way.

It's quite interesting that Vee is so possessive of Mark and gets jealous everytime someone approaches him, because he wasn't like that with Ploy at all. If it's because of lack of trust, they have a long way to go.

I don't know if Mark's easy, but the guy with the girlfriend certainly didn't put up much of a fight the night they slept together and afterwards he was the one who kept running after Mark. Me thinks Vee is confusing Mark with himself. :D That punch was very deserved.

The kiss at the end was everything. 🥰

I think the writing is almost perfect, and directing and acting match it. This series makes watching some others…
Check Out is simply bad, and boring on top of that, with unlikable characters. I can't explain to myself why I'm still watching it. No comparison here.

KinnPorsche is good, but not as good as many paint it to be. The plot in the last six or so episodes is a mess, and I find Vegas more compelling than Kinn, and this is saying something, because Vegas is a despicable character. Here, I'd die for Mark, and Vee is the compelling character I wanna see, without being despicable.

That was the cutest episode ever OMG. I love them, they are so adorable together.

Only the ending was a little unclear, was there a time skip or did I miss something?

The beginning is different + it has more flashbacks + has 3 extras scenes (in the pool; at Vee's house in the…
There was IMO one significant change from the original episode, at the very end. In the episode that first aired, after the forced kiss, Mark just told Vee "I hate you!" and left. In the director's cut, Vee asks him "Do you still think I hate you?" after the kiss before Mark says "I hate you!" and leaves. This little change makes the scene's vibe completely different to me, because Vee basically admitted that he doesn't hate Mark and this is significant and shouldn't have been cut.

The pool scene and the new beginning are the highlights to me, too, but I also liked that they showed the scene when Bar told Vee about Mark's confession. That scene was completely cut from the episode that first aired and even though Vee told Mark Bar had told him, again, it's a different matter to experience Vee's reaction live than just being told about it. It makes his actions more understandable and relatable.

The pool scene is gold, how could they cut this?

Correct, one of the major mindfucks for Vee, is that he feels he has no right to express a lot to Mark being as…
Oh, I understand., thanks for the clarification! I haven't read the book and I'm not sure I want to, if their story starts with rape. Drunk sex I can deal with, but not rape.

I love LM but I don't give a f*** about Ploy' story with Ton... So much Ploy in the series. Ploy again in episode…
Well, at least Vee didn't look happy to see her. ;) I'll take what I can get.

Vee is coming off a 3 year relationship with Ploy.He had a night with Mark, (drunk or nearly drunk, whatever). It…
Yes, part of Vee's problem seems to be that he's willing to ignore his own feelings and needs in order to make Ploy happy, out of sense of duty and habit, because they've been together for so long. This is understandable, BTW, giving up a three-year-relationship for a new love with someone who's recently been in love with someone else is not easy and most people would react the same way. But he should've told Mark about it and he didn't. :(

I agree with most of this, but I absolutely disagree that Vee slept with Mark to teach him a lesson. If you sleep with someone to teach them a lesson (which is a weird reason, mind you), you plan this beforehand and have a clear aim. Vee didn't plan to take Mark home, he just felt sorry for him and didn't want to leave him lying in the dirt. He then waited a couple of hours before returning to Mark and tried to tell him he was not Bar. He definitely did not start it. I've watched episode 1 at least 5 times and am sure that Vee did not plan to sleep with Mark, he just gave in to temptation because he was drunk and his defenses were lowered and IMO (I know some will disagree) he subconsciously already felt some physical attraction to him so when Mark started kissing him he couldn't say no. He was way too worked out about Mark pursuing Bar, it went beyond the normal amount of annoyance anyone would feel in such a situation.

lol they are both are in the wrong. Justice what for Ploy, she cheated too.
Of course they are both in the wrong, but Ploy at least admitted it and said she was sorry, while Vee stood there like an innocent lamb and didn't say anything about his own cheating. This is what I meant, he should own his part in it, and he didn't.

Am I supposed to feel sorry for Vee? Because I don't. The biggest hypocrite ever, OMG, I can't with him. Seriously, he sat there and let Ploy cry and apologize for cheating when he's been doing the same all the time. And let's not forget that he was the one chasing after Mark, not the other way around, Mark tried his best to escape him. And yet Vee didn't say a word about it and let Ploy beg him not to break up with her.

Justice for Ploy! Let her find out about Vee's cheating and give him a good piece of her mind, plz.

That was a very heavy episode, but I'm still loving these series very much. At least everything that happens between Vee and Mark from now on won't be cheating anymore.

BTW, the plot is very similar to the Together with Me Series. The guy with the girlfriend he won't break up with, the drunk one-night stand at the beginning and both of them cheating. Thankfully, Ploy is not the evil girlfriend here.

I love the show as it is, but it seems that important parts have been cut and put as deleted scenes for VIP-members…
Just for the record, I fell in love with this from first sight without watching the mini series before, so I'm the last person who thinks it's bad, I think it's cinematographically very pleasing, it's written well, and the acting and chemistry between the mains are exceptional. I also fell in love with Mark, this is a big bonus. It keeps me glued to the screen and this is all I want. The story is messy indeed, but it's something different and I don't mind. But I have to agree with you that after finding out about some of the scenes that have been cut, the story would be better and make more sense if they hadn't been, like for example how Vee ended up sleeping on Mark's couch at the beginning of ep. 3 or the garlic scene in ep. 3, which doesn't make much sense without the cut scene from ep. 2. I can't wait for the uncut version! And I hope they've learned their lesson and will stop cutting from now on.

I haven't watched anything from the "En of Love" series and I started this one since I was looking for something…
I love the show as it is, but it seems that important parts have been cut and put as deleted scenes for VIP-members only which might be why you feel it's badly patched together. The actors complained about it and WeTV will be releasing the director's cut version for the first three episodes. Hopefully from episode 4 on, this won't be an issue anymore. Weirdly enough, one of the deleted scenes is in the newly released OST for the series. :D
