I enjoy this a lot, no doubt. But I would appreciate it, if GMMTV invests a bit more in the editing, film-making…
I want to comment on the consent thing, because while I agree in general that it's not necessary to ask for consent every time you want to kiss someone who obviously is attracted to you too, I don't think Ayan saying that if Akk didn't like it he would stop was misplaced in the concrete scene we're talking about given Akk's personality, state of mind (he had just prevented another kiss from happening), their relationship with each other and the fact that it was established Akk's a virgin. Ayan was extra careful and soft and I can see why. For me, the scene in its entirety and the kiss were perfect they way they were for the reasons I mentioned. Another similar scene when I found it was all right to ask for consent was the first kiss between Pob and Leon in Don't Say No. So, in general I agree, but there are exceptions to the rule. And I still haven't given up on a love scene between Ayan and Akk, so hopefully we'll see some passion. The actors are amazing and have great chemistry and will deliver. The two kisses they had are already more memorable than most I've seen this year, and the imaginary kiss is one of the best I've seen at all, period.
I really dislike mentioning another series and comparing, but I'll do it in order to make my point that Gmmtv seems to be improving with the number of the "allowed" kisses, too. I don't know if you're watching Vice Versa, which ended today, because it started airing about a month before The Eclipse. It took a lot of time for the mains to kiss properly, but after that they kissed quite a few times, I think in one of the episodes even more than once. This is quite an improvement since last year's 1000 Stars, Fish Upon the Sky and even Bad Buddy. Sadly, I personally think that you're right and we'll probably see only one kiss more from Akk and Ayan with the rate their relationship is progressing, but who knows, maybe we'll be proven wrong. ππ
I watched the episode after reading some of the comments here and was scared that I was not going to like it, but ended up loving it! Note to myself: don't read reactions before watching the episode yourself, it's better for your mental state!
Akk never said he didn't have feelings for Ayan, he said he's not ready to admit them and he chooses not to act on them. I think I already wrote that as a comment to another episode, but Akk will have to choose between love and being the perfect prefect and the perfect Suppalo student at some point, hopefully soon, because I really don't want this to turn into one of the series in which the main couple comes together in the very last episode, although probably exactly this is going to happen. :-( Whether he'll choose right before it's too late remains to be seen, but I'm glad Ayan's being mature and patient enough to give him the chance. My love for Ayan in this episode has no limits, I admire him so much for giving a chance on love despite everything. It takes a lot of strength and courage to do that after what happened. I also think that Akk deserves this chance, because he does have genuine feelings for Ayan, even though he doesn't want to admit them.
So dear old Chadok invented the curse and passed it on to the future prefects, right? Figures.
I didn't get the last part. So Thua had Ayan's notebook and wanted to give it to the teachers? Or was it there already and in the mess that followed it fell to the floor and Ayan found it?
Finally the moment I've been waiting for ever since I watched the first teasers is here! Sky's story is starting!
I can already say that Rain is going to be in so much trouble with Sky for giving his number to Phai. This was still my favourite part of the episode, though, Phai was hilarious in it and I liked Fort's acting very much, he did well, even though he looks a bit young. Also, Phai called Sky as soon as he got outside Pauy's house, I loved that! The guy doesn't want to wait another second. π
I watched the second half of part 3 and the fourth part of the episode on YouTube an embarrassing number of times. My baby Sky has that effect on me. It was literally love from first sight. π
Has it been announced whatβs replacing Vice Versa? Maybe Moonlight Chicken.
I hope that the Midnight series will replace Vice Versa, too. Their filming is supposed to be finished. No idea in which order they would air them, though.
The subtitles of this are so bad, at least of the YouTube version. It's watchable, but barely, especially for not-native English speakers like me.
That being said, Nhai has to be the most hopeless and clueless character I've seen in a BL series, however not in an annoying, but in an entertaining and amusing way. I like him and will watch mainly for him.
So I havenβt watched BLs in a long time. I want to start watching again but cannot decide between this one or…
These two cannot be compared, they are completely different. The only thing they have in common is the fact that they include two couples, but that's it. Not even the timelines of both couples are the same - in LitA, you have first the SL of one couple and then the other, while in The Eclipse the SLs of both couples run simultaneously.
that's sad, you dropped this series and ask us about OhmNanon only? what a Karen
I can't help it, Peat is gorgeous, I can't stop staring at him. To be fair, I do think his character is more interesting than the other three, too. π

*raises hand* Like me? Although I didn't drop Love in the Air, but am watching desperately hoping to see a glimpse of Sky. He was the reason I started watching and of course I'm more interested in his SL than in Payu and Rain, who never interested me that much. We are all allowed to like some things more than other.
I'm not sure watching the OhmNanon scenes only makes a lot of sense here, though, they are so few and far inbetween and disconnected that only the visuals would stay with you and you won't get anything of the plot, as simple as it is.
idk about your life experience and whatever, but falling for queer person who shows you the way to be out, proud…
Just wanted to give big thumbs up to this comment. Akk and Ayan have literally been interacting with each other and learning things about each other all the time since the very beginning. It's actually one of the best developed enemies-to-lovers relationships I've seen in BL. And the attraction was there from the beginning, too, even if it didn't happen at the same time to both of them.
I loved that interaction between Kan and Ayan T-T and 'm glad we are getting NeoLouis in a more serious concept…
The interaction between Kan and Ayan was one of my favourite moments in the episode, because until now, Kan seemed to dislike Ayan. Yes, it was mostly because he was jealous, and this is why I was so surprised he was willing to accept Thua being with Ayan if this is what they want. Real mature of him, I didn't expect it. It shows he really has real feelings for Thua, which finally sold them to me as a couple.
Was it just me or did Thua notice how Akk was staring at Ayan while they were on the beach? This could prove important in the future. No one else knows about it. Well, Kan seemed to notice something, but he spoke about it to Ayan because Thua was involved, not because he seemed that interested in Akk and Ayan.
Also, it seems that Namo is willing to take over the curse from Akk and continue if Akk is going to stop.
I'm finally convinced with Kan and Thua. Kan was willing to see Thua with Ayan if that's what they wanted. And that kiss was amazing, nothing like their FUTS kiss. I used to think they had little chemistry, but it seems the directing and how a scene is shot adds a lot to the way we perceive a couple on screen.
As for Akk and Ayan, it's going to be about choosing between love and duty and what everyone expects of you, right? Exactly my kind of story, I live for it, gimme! I'm a little disappointed the amazing kiss from last episode was just an imagination, but it still has a purpose to show how strong Akk's feeling are. Also, the real kiss is coming next week.
Am I the only one who actually likes that Akk calls Ayan by his full name? I think it's cute.
I rewatched all 6 episodes yestersay - am in vacation visiting my parents with nothing better to do - and want to point out a couple of things I'd missed before.
- I don't get how Akk could manipulate the car, run back to the other two prefects as quickly as he apparently did and then run to the street together with them. How far was that car parked? He suspected from the beginning that Ayan had seen him, and Ayan was not that far away when the accident happened. - Akk was ruthless during that investigation inquiery when teacher Sani asked the guy responsible for the car if he'd forgotten to secure it. He was the one to say it was possible. They easily could've put the blame on the innocent man for something Akk did and fired him. - Akk was indeed attracted to Ayan from the beginning, but not Ayan, his feelings kinda developed from episode 2. - I correct my earlier comment on teacher Sani, she seems to be indeed a good person caught in the middle.
I can't help but wonder are they versatile? Or not? They don't follow any stereotypical tropes.
This is one of the many, many things that is so great about this series, the characters are not easy to be stereotyped. I noticed in the YouTube comments many people asking the same thing and can't help but wonder why it matters. To me, Ayan and Akk are versatile, like most gay and lesbian couples in RL.
And I have to give cudos to Gmmtv for giving us not one, but two BL couples this year that are not easy to be put into the "top and bottom" category. I hope they keep it on, I personally love it.

Now seriously, if we don't get a kiss after that today, I'm sueing.

The Warp Effect is another possibility.
