Same here, I was not a big fan of the novel and was wondering, because it was short, how they were going to fill 12 episodes. But they've changed quite a bit, although the main storyline remains the same, so it's good.

I don't get the accusation about him not working on acting enough, too. Yes, the first workshop was a disaster, but that's on his management more than on him. And unless you're a natural, which most people are not, BTW, acting is not just about learning your lines. There are techniques about how to deliver them, how to get into the right mood, how to shake off the nervousness, etc. Wan is surrounded by vultures watching his every step and waiting for him to fail, which makes it worse. He is also playing a character very unlike himself and the acting coach refuses to guide him. So, how exactly is it Wan's fault alone that he is bad at acting? He's supposed to learn it all by himself?
Being nice and sincere is not very popular, I see. Such people need to be protected and not abused.
I see that I, too, have to step in and defend Wan.
The problem is not Wan, no matter what people are saying about him. The problem is that a very nice, naive, genuine and sincere person has ended up in a very toxic environment by accident and doesn't know how to navigate it, and even worse, no one is really going to help him do that.
I like Third very, very much, but if we look deeper, there are two things to be said about him that people might not like - he clearly acts that way towards Wan because he has had a crush on him practically since he saw him and we don't know how he would act if he didn't. I don't think he would act like Nine, but probably more like Renji. The second thing is that he knows very well that Nine hates Wan and what kind of person Nine is and he still is going out of his way to show his preference for Wan in front of Nine, indirectly putting Wan in danger. He cannot be there all the time to protect him and let's be honest, courting your co-worker directly in front of your on-screen partner about whom you know is a horrible person is not a good idea in general. I hope the drowning accident has opened Third's eyes.
Now back to Wan and his issues:
He landed a job because of his looks and accepted it because of money. No one prepared him about what was going to come. His management fights for him, but instead of sending him to acting lessons, they sent him to a shaman for a golden mask. I mean, come on. Even worse, they did nothing to warn him about what kind of people he would have to deal with. A nice, positive and naive person like him takes everything at face value, which makes him easier to bully and abuse which is what most people around him (except Third, who likes him, his management, who need him to make money, and Renji, who just observes but doesn't go deeper than that) are doing. Seriously, I actually wonder how he deals so well with Nine's false niceness, Nine and Third's managers constant abuse and open contempt and his obvious struggles with acting because no one cared to show him how to do it. Maybe people are annoyed with him because he hasn't fought back yet, but I'm sure that it hasn't happened yet exactly because of his personality. I'm sure that with time, he will realise what kind of person Nine is, because he is already seeing and feeling the signs, he is just not ready to accept it yet.
One last thing - normally, co-workers don't try to drown their colleagues. Wan's reaction was not that unusual, and it was not only because it was Nine. Most people, no matter who they are, would not think of an intentional murder immediately, especially if there is no reason to think so. Wan can't be blamed for not believing Third.

Yes, Third is an absolute treasure, because he understands Wan's feelings and does not pressure him, he is just there for him and will give him the time to sort himself out and realize things, which is so unlike what Nine tried to do. Third knows Wan is going to be fair once he gets over his worship for Nine, because from everything we've seen so far, Wan is a very sincere and honest person.
Well. at least now we finally know why Bay's mum stayed with her husband despite his abhorrent behaviour - she was in it from the very beginning. And no matter why they did what they did, it was wrong.
It's very refreshing to see a son pointing out what his father did wrong and not giving in because of age, seniority, or whatever. Bay's parents were wrong in what they did and how they handled things, period. Both fathers involved their children in their feud and it was time to let them know they were wrong and make them face the consequences.

After rewatching I would say that he is wising up. He clearly felt uncomfortable when he was dining with Nine and it showed. He also did not believe him blindly, but spoke to his sister and decided to observe Third before forming his own opinion. There is hope for him. 😉
It's unbelievable that that horrible manager knew Nine tried to drown Wan on purpose and at the same time wanted to sue Wan for accidentally hitting Third. I have no words. I hope not only Nine, but also his entire management will go to hell.

I'm a little anxious because I predict even harder times are coming for Wan if the fans and the managers won't leave him alone for an accidental punch. There is no way he will be allowed to date Third, and as the newcomer, he will take most of the blame and rage of the fans and the managers for daring to fall for one of their mains. I don't see him surviving very long in that environment, despite his positive attitude. Third will have to do a lot more to protect him by himself.
Forgot two things apart from ThirdWan - why is the acting coach not doing his job and no one seems to be able to make him and why is Wan punching Third for real such a huge deal? He did not do it on purpose and incidents can happen when filming a series.
I also really enjoy North's character, he is not Nine's slave and earning money, no matter the circumstances, seems to be most important to him.
Oh Wan. I really love you, but please follow your sister's advice and start thinking with your brain. It's very obvious who wants to help you, supports you and likes you and who looks for ways to hurt you. I'm giving you time until the next episode.

The counter shows the time it airs in Thailand, but internationally, it's up one hour later on IQIYI. I guess you can watch it online on the Thai TV if you speak Thai, but most of us have to wait an hour longer.

I'm really, really excited because I like the premise and all pairings, but I'm especially interested in the Title/Pop pairing, it's not something I expected.

Did anyone else notice that Third smiles and looks at least a little bit more relaxed and happy only when he's with Wan? Like, really only then, it's like Wan is the only one who can unlock something he has to keep in check all the time. Third is tense, unhappy and guarded with everyone else around him but Wan - his mother, Nine, his managers. It seems that he has been in the industry long enough to see through all of them and is staying only because he genuinely likes acting and despite the people surrounding him. He can see that Wan is not like them and while I think this is not the only reason he's attracted to him, it's also a part of it.
Wan is obviously not cut for that industry, he's way too naive, although his positive attitude is helping, too, but it still amazes me how many people would be as abhorrent as to try to harm an innocent boy who has done absolutely nothing wrong and who was honest from the very beginning. I'm not only talking about Nine, but also about his and Third's managers, who are exactly as bad as he is.
Just one simple question - why was about 40% of episode 7 wasted on Mochi and Krit? Are they actively trying to ruin the series? Krit's dad, you're wrong, Krit is as bad as you are and Mochi is the same, you'd be gaining a son-in-law perfect for your rotten family. It's so unbelievable that poisonous bullies like them would be popular.
Can Rin and Khobfah exist in a bubble where Krit and Mochi are extinct, please? I can tolerate them less and less and unfortunately, they belong to the side couples with a lot of screen time.
Other than that, this episode felt like a filler. Rin and Khobfah should just date already. Having their kisses constantly interrupted is no fun either.
