Where do you see JXN ambegious? She is very clear that she likes ZZ now and even told XW about it. There is no…
The part I'm not entirely clear is with her past with him, it seemed like they had some kind of romantic affair before her reincarnation to change her destiny. It also seemed she had several liaisons with different male characters in her previous past. Did those past feelings carry forward in her current situation? I felt like there were moments were she had some small feelings for XW that was beyond a platonic alliance even though she has been scared of him and he was the culprit of her demise in the past. She would tease him when their relationship got better. I can also accept that XN does not have those kinds of feelings for him that way in the episodes so far as the portrayal is more of her fear, distrust and her aligning with him to strengthen the cause of saving the Yan family.
There is going to be a 3 year time skip. After that, they spend a lot of time together, working for the same cause…
thanks, so he does switch to actively pursuing her and making it known. I will like to see that in the future episodes. ZZ is handsome but I can understand why there are quite a few people shipping for XW. His character is complex, passionate, and quite dangerous its like a moth being drawn to a flame, XW is incredibly good looking and you don't quite know where he stands.
There's a short youtube clip with several different scenes of XN developing affection for XW. There's some passionate kissing between them and it looks like they are wearing wedding garb where they are lying on the bed making out. lol, i should wait for the future episodes but what the heck is going on? Anyone read the novel and can shed light on how and why their romantic relationship developed? I finished ep 18 and XN is still ambiguous on where she stands with XW romantically as she is still in love with ZZ.
that serves her right! but she deserve more slaps!!
Well said! I don't normally get pissed with villains but some of the members of the Xue family became pretty irritating. The coming of age ceremony topped it off with the Xue's family B.S., let the guy YL have his birthday in peace you jerks. This drama is addictive, I haven't fast forwarded a single episode.

Her brother also deserves a good kick in the rear end. Some members of the Xue family such as her father and the empress are so brazen with bullying the Yan family.
qin is sentimental... didn't you see the flashback.. while he was dying he oculd not hurt the quin (guessing it…
I look forward to seeing that and hopefully they will be better choices, this show is so addictive. I hope she can prevent the disasters of the people she cares about the second time around.
The scene where Xie Wei comes up close while he is teaching Jiang Xue Ning the qin, she is so surprised she falls backwards with the qin and he saves the qin instead of her is hilarious. I did not expect that! It is so troupey for the man to catch the woman in Asian dramas instead he saves the qin and tells her off for not getting up after falling.
after episode 4 I'm sure she wasn't pretending to be in love with him, somehow, they ended up falling for each…
I also think she must have felt something for him but it is such a tragic situation with him taking the lives of her family given his circumstances with his step father and her slashing him with the sword. I agree we need more information on whether it truly is her that took his life and what the circumstances are. So sad.
I really don't think that she killed him out of spite. When she killed him, they were hiding from some people…
thanks for sharing your thoughts on this, I'm having some trouble too reconciling some of it too. I don't want to think they don't love each other enough and was willing to take the lives of each other. I know its pretty complicated hence its a drama :).
Anyone have thoughts or opinions on this? In their previous lives back in the historical period, did she come to love him but the reasons for her killing him was more than revenge or was it really more she put up an act and was waiting for opportunity to take her revenge? I can accept she is conflicted since it is a super messed up situation with what he did and their relationship is complicated if not tragic.
the palace politics and time jump from past and current life may be confusing for many.
I can see your point that might it not be everyone's cup of tea, this is a more serious drama with some dark palace politic themes. It hits all the right notes for me so far.
I'm a couple of episodes in and WOW this CDrama is exceeding my expectations which was already high. I have been waiting for this to be released for a year. I'm surprised its only 8.4 rating?
I think they did get married. In one of the flashbacks they both were in red attire which I guess is for the wedding…
You are right she was wearing better clothes that looked like it wasn't typical servant clothes. I guess it doesn't change her objective on revenge whether she became his wife but if they got married she really stuck to her word to the end. Thanks.
