haha lin wan xings inner monologues are so fun, and the blind box opening ritual with the candle lit was cherry on topš¤£sheās such a relatable character

well this is just my own interpretation of the ending, so take it with a grain of salt haha
i saw the loudspeaker as representing everyone else's expectations, opinions and attempts to control her life. the monkey leaving it behind felt symbolic of her finally letting go of that noise and choosing to define her life on her own terms instead of constantly performing for an audience, whether that be the village, her family or society as a whole
3 eps in and i am locked tf in. the whole cast is doing such a solid job. the child actors especially caught me off guard, the little girl playing young meng ting hui literally outacted people almost twice her age in the flashback scenes. the pacing is good so far and plot is very engaging, keeps you hooked.
my only complaint is the ai intro. bring back hand drawn openings pleaseeee ā¹ļøalso the desert looks off to me, cgi or green screen idk but itās not blending right and i keep getting thrown off bc of it
