Watching a show solely for the sake of an actor, whether to praise them or hate them, will mean only being interested in their scenes and being disappointed when they are not there.. I agree that the conclusion is not what matters but the journey.
It's a bit of a sad show and tragic shows get unfairly low rating so we'll have to wait and see.
I think for famous shows, the fact that a huge group of people watch it also contributes to that. The more people watch, the more likely it is that a bigger number of people won't like it.

Tvtropes is a website that records the common tropes that appear in media and literature. It both has description pages for tropes and pages dedicated to media with a list of their tropes. It's a super fun website to browse generally and it also can help with learning about narrative and stuff. Most of them are very funny!
