The fandom in china is out of control and very unhealthy. The companies, the actors management and movie productions, use actors as products to gain profit, sell merchandise and create hype. Now the way they are being treated has become dangerous. The western fandom scene was similar a few years back and then things changed. I don’t agree with forceful change as I think it’s superficial but that's how china does it and the fandom culture needs to change there. All these hateful rumors about them and creating a network of threat and profit is very counter-productive. I don't think it will ultimately change the production of shows except to create more competition to create higher quality shows that will stand out on their own merit.
