Generally, xianxia shows take longer in post-production than modern and wuxia shows due to lots of CGI and editing. This show isn't even remotely unnaturally delayed or anything.
Personally, I'm just anxious to see it but when they started post-production, I expected a two-year wait.

This is what I was talking about! It has been going on for a long time. I had my panic about this last summer and someone from china explained to me that it's all BS and that they are just salty fans spreading rumors.

Please ignore slanderous rumors. These rumors are usually made by people who dislike bl genre and spread by misinformed fans. They are probably all fake but creating traffic for these negative rumors WILL affect the shows negatively.

The reason bl adaptations have a "hopeless airtime" tag is that they are kept super under wraps with barely any ad campaigns so they are usually not included in the airing tables that sites like datawin or whatever have. So it doesn't actually mean "oh dude! This won't air! lmao! Stop waiting", it means "Your guess for its air date is as good as ours! *shrug*" So just do not panic!

That new rule is clearly about a very different kind of character. idk if anyone else has noticed but some cdramas have male s*x workers who are usually shown in a very negative, offensive way and those are always shown in very effeminate ways. If anything is affected, it's those and good riddance (because they are usually put in shows as comic relief and also to be insulting so nobody was benefiting from them anyway)
Second, it's clearly a rule against cpop singers because they're mighty pissed about the kris Wu thing! lmao.
