Well I did more research and this is not the malaysian one. This is from China and it's linked to Beijin Daily which is in fact the same mother group that got Yanxi palace banned so...yeah hyx might be over. Whelp!

The motivation is homophobia! If the article is by one of the state newspapers, like the one that led to Yanxi palace getting banned, then we're screwed.
I'm a hardcore MXTX fan and I can't relate to any of the hate!
Despite what everyone says, I have only had positive encounters in cql/mdzs circles. There have been a few bad apples here and there (who were immediately blocked! lol) but overall people are pretty tame compared to some seriously scary fandoms out there. Also as far as I know, a lot of the fans have read 2ha too or plan to and they all liked it. If the haters are also actor shippers then...I've already shared my opinion about the mentality surrounding that so I won't repeat it, just to say that I won't be surprised if that part of a fandom bring toxicity and delusions into the fandom. It's best to ignore the angry mob. Here, we focus on crying for a release date and loving the book. It's best not to bring childish animosity into the main discourse. (By discourse, I mean "The Conversation"!)
