That I understand, but I think YCY gets a lot of hate and more harsh criticisms is because she keeps on taking lead roles in S+ dramas when she should be taking minor roles to improve herself. When she first started out, she was fairly new so judgement towards her acting wasn't as harsh as I'm sure her audience were much on a smaller scale. However, as she keeps getting big lead roles left and right, more people are tuning in to watch and the scope is now on a bigger scale. C-nets are going to compare her works and having seen that she has no improvements towards her acting then she's bound to be criticized. I've seen her first drama a while back, but I've yet to watch any of her other later works and finally tuning in to watch this drama; I can see that she does struggle with her acting moreso on not being natural because she still pouts or not being able to emote well. Sure, some scenes she can cry, but it's like she hasn't embodied herself as the female lead character yet. Like you say, YCY is just one of the many problem. I had issue with the background music and to the multiple changes they made from the novel.

Liked the first half, not so much the second half and the conclusion.

JLQ should have been dubbed the FL even though her character is a villian. The actress has more scenes than Chen Du Ling and Estelle Chen, not complaining since she's doing a great job.

Shi Hua is one of the masters from Sigu Sect, she knows his appearance...She made another brief appearance in ep 5 but didn't get to see his face cuz he ran away so yes to no point in wearing mask because she didn't get see him then. But, he's full blown not wearing a mask at all in ep 24 and ep 25 with Shi Hua present and I can't wrap my head around that. You're saying he wears it at Sigu and Baichua sect, but his main reasons was from letting the masters know who he was because he's close with them and Shi Hua is one of the master too.

LOL, you just said it yourself that he is wearing the mask because he is afraid people will recognize him. Ziji and Wanmian figured out that he was alive because of his inner power Yangzhoumen, but it wasn't until they saw his face that it reaffirmed LXY to really be alive. I still think this was an edit issue by the production. Let me continue the drama and see how the other masters will recognize him.

LOL, yes that is exactly my point. He only wore mask around his sigu and baichuan sect. When he was solving the case at Yu City around ep 5, LLH ran away during the fight so Shi Hua didn't get to see him with his mask off.

I think they all pretty much recognized him, but couldn't believe it because he's not claiming that he's LXY. The other masters tested him too! Some reasons, he was always wearing the mask so I assumed he must be wearing it to hide himself. Then why didn't he just take it off earlier? And, weird how Shi Hua is not having a reaction when she did way earlier on in the eps with ZiJin?

But, they were able to kind of doubt and kind of recognize him even with the mask on so why off? I mean, I get what your saying though.

A'Fei is Ace! Love him. BTW, I realized that they messed up a small detail at the end of ep 24 to the beginning of ep 25. LLH was not wearing a mask to hide his identity from Shi Hua?...Hmmm Mkay?.
