Changing director or even a writer in the middle of production of a drama in kdramaland is common. But I considered it is too much if the writer get changed in middle of filming! Ok, back to topic. It is obvious...her ideal doesn't match the ideal of 'the elders'. Especially, when the newbie is a woman. No matter how hard she works and her ethics, the men will still look her in disdain (Misaeng thaught me). Another case in showbiz, no matter how hard the actress works, no matter how equal is the effort compare wth the male actor's, she will still get paid lower than the male counterpart.
It is fairly obvious that Netflix is the one that have the final say, because all the actors and director want…
actually for netflix drama std. the CGI was not that great but has decent amount...comparing with Stranger Things or Parasite (live action which has same concept). But it is considered great in kdrama std. Like you, I dont really care bout cgi though, I prefer good plot to cgi. I think the producers were initially make a cliffhanger drama. test the water. Perhaps they have season 2 in mind but if SH doesnt really have good performance, they'll leave it as it is. I have read somewhere that when netflix made Stranger Things, they didnt consider to make a sequel. they didnt expect that ST eventually became a hit. so they made a plan to produce season 2, and season 3 if it still got many fans.
not really, it only has much blood since it engaged with monsters and killings
I must add something: I think we can still watch Sweet Home with younger audiences , age 13+. Whereas, I don't recommend to watch Alice (Japanese dorama in netflix which has similar theme and released at the same time with Sweet Home) with audience under age 18.
I don't read the webtoon, and have no plan to read it. What I can say after watch the series is..it has vibes of The Mist (hollywood movie), and Parasite (Japanese live action). The characters in Sweet Home like a rip off of The Mist. The concepts of Sweet Home that similar with Parasite are: monster coexists with human (apparently inside human's body), that monster can occupy the human's brain until it can have full control, but sometimes human can still manage to restrain his mind and body even if it under control. Anyway, Sweet Home is a good watch. It reminds me with The Host (korean movie)
Actually, whether the drama get aired or not,,it wont affect LJS. He is Korean actor. Usually, the main actors are paid even before the filming started. Producer in China makes drama like making cookies. After they bake it, they store it on a jar. Waiting someone to open take it out. I'm curious about the scandal so I went to hear the scandalous audio conversation. It seems impossible to fabricate such conversation. ZS's career is over now.
I found some info and opinions from people in China:"The gestational surrogacy enabled by human-assisted reproduction…
Surrogacy emerged to help people with health issue or hard to bear baby so they can still have offsprings. But nowadays surrogacy is like a trend and misusing it. they spoil it. I hardly heard any bad news on surrogacy in advanced countries. But, in several countries who provided surrogacy for foreign couple. there are a lot of problem. neglecting children, abandoning surrogate mother, death due to surrogacy, bad medical treatment, low pay etc. What ZS did in this case is neglecting the children. even if she her ex give them for adoption. it still called neglection. those children are clearly their own blood and flesh. in my Holy Book, proved by science, a baby is made from sperm and ovum. the DNA of those children wont match their surrogate mother.
the ancient twists of KDrama: switched children. he/she is actually the son/daughter of...:D another overused twist: the real villain is the closest person to the protagonist
for those who searched the eng subbed video..I am pretty sure have seen it somewhere in the fansubber archive playlist....maybe in another Muse fansub..or thippy / ohsweethaven...stars fansub (did it even exist?) ..or any lakorn fansub in dailymotion. I haven't touch dailymotion for several years for diving in the sea of lakorn.
I thought Consort Shu was the birth mother. And yes, she does look very young.
Your explanation is kinda logic. and yes..ancient people up to World War tend to get married at early age. When a girl got her first period/menstruation, she was considered as an adult - it means she has reached the age to get married. Please note, despite having the same age, their mental age is very very different compare to mentality of recent teenagers in 21st century :D. Nowadays, children marriage practice is totally illegal. but in ancient times, children marriage is allowed and a custom. If I live in those times, I probably considered as a grandma or even a leftover woman due to my age LOL. I remember my late grandma was married when she was still 14 yo. My late grandpa was married in juniorhighschool age. both my late grandma n grandpa was born prior to WW (whereas. Me, in 14 yo was busy watching Meteor Garden.. idolizing LinkinPark and F4..LOL.) in the other hand, in reality, many drama productions (especially soap drama) still wanna choose younger actors to play as father or mother. it is about 'looks'.
