I don't think it is NOT going to air, they spent a lot of money, this show was supposed to be the main show of the season to celebrate tvN's 20th birthday, just like the first season was used to celebrate the 10th birthday of the network.

is this something prefilmed they're holding back because of the scandal or did they not get to film it before…
The whole show wrapped-up in August 2025, so they were in the post-production phase when the incident was released to the public. So, yes, they are holding the complete material back because of the incident.

There hasn't been any news in months, this date is just an assumption because they said they would release it "first half 2026," they went radio silent after the incident.

Live action is not for you my fellow manga and anime enjoyer, its literally for drama lovers only.
Who is it for then? Do people that are first introduced to the media through the live action actually go after the anime/manga? I'm sure they will be more entertained than me watching this. Still, I liked Rurouni Kenshin's live action, which shows me it is possible to make a good live action, but I just don't know what is their objective creating live action like this one.

Probably budget limitation, even if there wasn't, they butchered the build up in the shrine that makes that ending feels good.

Really enjoyed this. I like that they actually made the ghost encounters tense instead of going down the gag comedy…
Read the manga, brace through the fanservice some people despise, the author drops it eventually and it becomes just a ghost story.

Blurriness is a movie thing and not in the original, so it feels like they (and by "they" I mean the people behind the cameras) will adapt the blurriness to the level they want. The "president" nor any of the other boys in school aren't blurry at all throughout the film (however that police officer and the little girl in the old school building are blurry, why?), except when they are outed as ghosts, why? To make it obvious to those watching the film, is it stupid? Yes.
