I might be projecting… but I have liked Jian’s development in S2. She seems like a CEO (and Jinman like a COO). She has leadership skills. Everyone was really touched when she promoted them to green level. She recognizes that Jinman’s way is an endless cycle. She’s new to the position, so she makes mistakes but is not arrogant or stubborn. And I think she has a trick or two up her sleeve for ep. 7-8.

Also, brother jumped on pasin to give him a hug. Very uncharacteristic of brother. Maybe to cover up the body camera while they signaled each other confirmation of the plan to setup Babylon?

I’m glad others are noticing it too. Great range for an actress, but what impresses me is how effortless it looks!

I agree with you, 100%. I feel like I need to trust Park Hae Young. My Mister had the perfect ending. It was life affirming. And MLN, I was getting nervous about the ending, but its message on forgiveness changed my life. Can she deliver again with a great ending? I am thinking so. I am hoping so.

I am on the fence about Hye Jin. Still a bit upset about the sign that included the brother, though I like she is a strong woman. But regarding the script, she’s only seen it prior to it being revised with Eun A’s feedback. Won’t she be surprised to see the new version. We are in for an epic final 4 episodes

I’ve been thinking the same thing. Family by Choice and Sky Castle, he’s the complete opposite of this douchebag character he plays here. Must be good acting. I really wanted Jin Man to punch him in the face, not give him Napa cabbage.

Call out to the underrated actor who plays the mother’s manager. He had small but memorable parts in MLN and My Mister, too. The look on his face when his boss was called a mass of contempt. It said, “yeah, that really nails it.”

Mi Ran is such a delightful character. Eun A insults her and compliments her all within the same sentence. How do you react to something like that? Well, with raw natural appeal. All heart. I loved it!

Textbook bullying. The brother is my favorite character because he seems so Gen X compared to the rest who are Millenials.

I vote for a tie. They both cower like true cowards when Jin Man is a little violent. Just big mouths with nothing to back it up.

This is my only minor quibble which has nothing to do with the acting. Both ML and FL are terrific. But casting wise it seems as if the ML should be chubby and more of a slob and the FL a little less pretty. Not a complaint, just something I thought as any actors will of course be good looking and stylish. It’s a kdrama after all.

Also, he was drunk. You don’t think rationally under the influence.

He defends his brother (multiple times) but then is also really angry at his brother and berates him (multiple times) to get his life together. Sounds exactly like a family. Park Hae Young really captures family dynamics better than anyone.

Park Hae Young’s writing hits like a ton of bricks. My Liberation Notes saved my life, and I think We Are All Trying Here will end my life. I had just lost my job when MLN aired, and I am just months off a heart attack for this new drama. I had to stop midway through Ep. 2 because my heart is not healthy and was racing too much after Jin Man’s scenes. I was as mad as he was. lol.

Silence of the Night by Elaine is the saddest, most beautiful song I’ve heard in my entire life.
