The media always show local people welcoming them enthusiastically too but let's be real: they're either paid audience standing and hyping for measly 200k IDR or die hard fans with critical thinking long gone. I hate it when the media frame it as if everyone here adore the disposed garbage 😂

At best provoking thoughts about love, at worst spinning words round and round just to state a simple idea. I lost my patience tho. Going by the initial setup, FL should be smarter than accepting to meet with Lao Gong without clearing things with Xiao Bei first. Too bad, I would be down for a piece prioritizing substance over forced drama.

I find myself just arguing things in my head. Things jiaxu did to young sangzhi are in gray area, bordering creepy. If you don't have the same problem you might enjoy this drama tho

I was waiting for the conclusion of the first arc to see if I want to continue or not, as I heard the story is pretty much 3 standalone stories. The plot was pretty engaging but the ending was rather... disappointing? Anticlimactic? Like, after so much back and forth, the main pairing was just mentioned that they went abroad, for no obvious reason, off screen. I wish they ended on a bigger emotional note. Welp. I guess the point wasn't in the result but in the journey, but personally this kind of journey isn't my cup of tea. The first 1-2 eps was done really prettily tho.

First ep was great but this married couple continued to play mind games at each other and undermine their own earlier effort to build trust between themselves on top of navigating court politics. But if you expect realistic conflicts, resolutions sometimes handwaved unrealistically too. It gets tiring real fast. Dropped it.

The gangster should have killed the lawyer too... They cut their tails quick in other times, they could've gotten away if they have managed to kill the lawyer and the original drugs receiver lol.

Okay. Court drama + action 2 in 1. I'm not a big fan for action scenes bc they feel like a lull, a pause in plot. but I only skipped over the club one. Subway fight choreo kept my eyes riveted. Things are kinda gory in places tho. Funnily enough, the line that left me the deepest impression is the part when a fellow prosecutor pointed out "if we all handle the case like you (MC), the cases will pile up forever!". It's funny to see realism in justice fantasy fulfillment story 😂

Nah, I'm dropping this one. Stupid decisions, annoying misunderstandings, drawn out dialogue. I don't like the FL char, while the ML is straight fantasy fulfillment of sly guy 24/7 but loving you wholeheartedly, youre the exception!!!1! His character doesn't make much sense. There's one sided homosexual longing but the way the story treated it so badly is just heartbreaking. I can't, for the life of me, understand why this is popular with this kind of story. The scenes looks pretty when the situation calls for it tho, I'd admit that.

Great first ep but I don't vibe with the rest. I'm tired of feeling like people keep wronging the MC, even right until nearing the end. The whole drama feels like an endless series of battles after battles. Exhausting.

I like good manager a lot because the office politics part feels realistic. And it's really funny and entertaining, and yet still has some somber, sad moments. Definitely makes it to my all time favorite!

I feel like IFYUM lost its charm in its second half, it mostly became a generic life-affirming story. I liked it better when it was brazenly honest, raw, almost brutal in its beginning.
